this mission is way more difficult than it has any right to be. most missions its like "do x y z to win", here it's literally a skill issue.

It's all about micro, focus heavily on your economy and produce mass spearmen to counter the raiders.

Meu problema com ela, foi a cavalaria adversaria ser muito poderosa, até para lanceiros, me obrigado a ir para a Era III e investir em melhorias, mas foi a batalha mais dicil que tive até aqui. òtima gameplay, parabéns.

Went for another playthrough on hard, and... honestly, this mission? Harder on easy than most missions are on hard. Came to see if the way I did it was terrible or actually pretty good. I see we all just watch towns burn, people die, and run some suicide distractions.
You gotta accept mass casualties and you gotta micro hard. Would be sensible practice for skirmishes, but... damn, it stands out in the campaign.

so it literally boils down to "ignore everything on the map and spam spearmen"

Tried it myself on "intemedated" difficulty and failed in the end (30 workers + 7 traders / 2 windmills à 9x food) my mistake I guess was to set on variarity and not enough barracks (2x archery 2x stables 1x barracks) my raiders fell so quickly every time was really stupid someway down the line to compare it now to his 50x spearmen *lol*
