So excited for Kristine and taking that next step. I watched her emotional video on the big announcement and I really love where her heart is. Gonna be cheering her on!

Kristine is very impressive in how she handles her business. I used to skip her content because I thought she was the same as some of the other "female anglers" that get on the social media/CZcams pretending to know fishing, but really they are the bait...I was wrong, and I admire Kristine immensely for making sure she is recognized for her angling abilities...Good luck and go crack a bag!!

Same here. She actually a talented stick out there.

Appreciate that more than you know, and I don't take any offense to that because I know what has been "out there" and what the norm has been for female youtubers, so it is almost natural to make that assumption. Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt, and I hope that other women with real talent and ability will be able to rise above that as well, and help change that stereotype!

👍 I coach at the HS level in Texas and I’m seeing some young ladies that could definitely compete at the Open level or better. I figure some of them will compete at the college level.

I would like to congratulate Kristine on making the choice to enter the arena of the Bassmasters. As a woman angler who fished in the late 90s and early 2000s, we were fortunate to have organizations who supported ladies fishing. Recently I had listened to Dave Mercer’s podcast where Kristine was featured on his show. She made the statement that lady fishermen, in the past years, were promoted mostly for their looks and maybe not so much their ability. I’m sure everyone has an opinion on the matter, but women such Chris Houston, Burma Thomas, Linda England and I could name more, were some of the best anglers on the tournament tour. Although women’s fishing has declined, we need to remember the pioneers who have put forth effort and dedication for the sport of women’s fishing.

Great interview, been watching her stuff off and on for quite a while now. Random boat question…is it a requirement on the Elite Series that you have to have a new boat every year or is that just something that every boat company works into their sponsorship deals?

Going to set this one straight. Over the years I’ve actually turned down “information” from people reaching out offering it- including completely legal within the information period. The people that have privately messaged me offering it, can attest to that. I know most everyone gets info these days, but because I didn’t want anyone to be able to have an excuse as to why I did well, I have ALWAYS found my own fish- win or lose. I’ve not ever fished someone else’s spot, even when it’s been offered. I also believe too much info is a deterrent- and can negatively affect you fishing your strengths.

Passing Gals I think we're the first all women pro angler group. Chris Houston comes to mind as a prime example of the old guard and an extremely successful angler. She would be a good role model for you in my mind. Good luck in the glitter boat era.

Honestly fully expecting to get my teeth kicked in- the opens are the toughest competition out there, and these guys have been fishing boat tournaments for decades. The learning curve of the boat and positioning will definitely be a tough one for me. But my goal is to try to make a positive impact regardless of the standings, hoping that even if I get pummeled, me sticking with it might encourage more women to give it a shot also, and not be afraid to fail

There are plenty of women who have and are currently fishing the Opens in their own boats. Most women fish a complete division of the Opens, not just the last Open of the year when the field will be the smallest. This is not something new to people who keep up with national level bass fishing.

Are you sure that fishing isnt physical? There are some limitations, but reality is that girls in their developmental years are not typically honing their insticts in the outdoors. By the time girls get serious, they are far behind.
