New card for New Bharat? NCMC - National Common Mobility Card | More than a redesigned Metro Card?

National Common Mobility Card is in news, again. Government of India introduced it in 2019, but it did not prove revolutionary. SBI is now coming up with a prepaid NCMC. Government has mandeated all new rupay debit cards to be NCM enabled. Can NCMC be the next UPI?
