- After months and months of mysterious health issues, Stephen considered whether he'd ever return to being a competitive trail runner on the world scene. Now, with diagnosis and treatment figured out, he's back to training at a high level. To test his body and mind, he ventured to circumnavigate Mt. Hood in Oregon on the Timberline Trail - a 40-mile route with 10,000-feet of vertical gain.
A special thank you to adidas TERREX, Ryan Sterner, and Rabbitwolf Creative for making this possible.
My wife has AS too. I see first hand how brutal it is. The fact you are running, let alone pushing for an FKT is mind blowing. You, my man, are a machine!
keep it up stephen ,send you good vibes bro.
Super well done. And this dude is legit. Didn't know he went through that.
well done, Kersh, what a way to come back!
Thank you for sharing your story and congratulations on your impressive return to running.
Awesome, big kudos for giving it a shot 🤠
wow. heart breaking to see those emotions. thanks for sharing. amazing fitness despite the obstacles!!!
Awesome brother. Inspirational.
Wow. Good on you bro. I’m glad you are feeling better man.
Awesome, Steve. Keep pushing.
Really well done. Inspiring story, thanks for this guys.
Be strong and be patient, Steve... hope you can adapt well to this situation. There is a friend of mine who has autoimune also and I am feeling helpless about her sickness. Best pray for you.
Loved the video, incredibly inspiring 👏 thanks for sharing
awesome man, the gratitude for just being able to run again is apparent. dunno if this was your first big effort since landing on a treatment, but FKT's these days seem like they're no joke and they always require the absolute best (performance, weather, navigation, luck, etc) of anybody.
Amazing man!
Awesome.
Really moving
You're in inspiration man! Making my excuses not to run seem as petty as they actually are.
Hard to keep a good man down 👍💥💥💥
You're a badass, man!
🙏
Steve, your voices resembles Casey Affleck on an unusual level.
Great video man. You know there was this other pretty good ultra runner that took a wrong turn and it ended up working out for him lol. Try again! Show us!
Keep your chin up big man
It's awful how many "runners" have watched this video today, but very few hit the "like" button. It's hard to not give kudos to uplifting running videos, especially like this one. Here's to the sequel, where the FKT is breached 🍻
although your super hungry for this record like I am for others, you have to accept this trial as a stepping stone to grater enlightenment.
YASSS
I was wondering if you guys are going to still do a video on Jim Walmsleys Hard Rock's attempt this year? I'm sure a lot of people would like to hear the story.
Check back next week!
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🌹🏃🏻♂️
this guy is like gordon from flotrack if he actually ran
Yeah, and I fuckt off an easy 15km run because I wasn't feeling "motivated".....thank you.
really inspiring. my nephew has the same disease and it can be really hard. I know way to many ppl with autoimmune diseases nowadays, including me. Please check out meatrx and the carnivore diet and what Zach Bitter is eating and doing. It helps some ppl. Not all but maybe worth it to give it a shot. All the best 🙏🏻
