Nice stop there buddy it reminds me of how my dad them rolling stops. He always told me "it saves the clutch" lol lol no I do understand what he meant by that!!! Thanks buddy for sharing.
Wade: I know this one of your older videos brother. But STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITES! Especially for putting in my earbuds in & drowning out loud mouths in the gym early in the mornings. Nothing like the purr of a Push Cat Engine with straight pipes. 😎👍👍 Mack
You got to do more of those man great video 👍🏾love to hear that turbo you don’t hear a lot of engines like that today unless their old most of them have emission laws or are automatic
haha well by the time we got there in the morning the school bus had went through and about two hours after they dropped the kids off we were headed out again
I remember that road I'm really surprised yall have had the county make it wider or do d it ur self's lol it's so small haha but do yall need a wheel loader driver yet or is Rick still out there?
The unwritten rule in logging..is that when your in the woods waitin on your truck to get back....you hear traffic..but you Know when your truck is pulling in...Thats when you say...There's The Truck!!!
I just got to ask u mite know or u mite not know but. But do some of them new model truck have Jake breaks in them or they don't ?? Bc I like them older models that have Jake breaks
I'm a long time logger up her in Ontario Canada. Mills up here will not touch a load on a truck with no full coverage head . Even if the trailer has a head rack they wont take your load off. Seeing them little rinky dink trailers is like wow. We run 5 axle timmins trailers as the norm up here. 63 500 kg gross is our max. That's about 95 000 lbs payload. The nice thing about a big burly head rack on a log truck is if you flop it over on its side .... most of the time if its low speed coming out of the Bush rd. The truck is saved by the head rack . Might need a mirror and a stack replaced but saving the bunk and cab is the idea.
+wolfox712 Nobody uses the clutch in a semi because it's a non synchronised transmission. It's all about getting the speed of the input shaft from the engine and the output shaft from the transmission turning the same speed so the gears will mesh.
Wade, did like the ride with you here... I see the trees in Kentucky are small ... i have some trees here don't know how to haul... two of them are twelve foot diameter and another is 14 and another 19 feet in diameter... most likely blow the jake if you hauled these down hill..
I am clueless about semi-trucks but am trying to learn more. What sort of engine and trans does this one have? Sounds kind of like a Cummins. I'm from Evansville btw, so I'm familiar with where you're at, wish there more loud trucks like yours here.
***** ok bud its a straight 6 configuration with a Jake brake. C12 cat motor at 430 horse and a 10 speed tranny. The loads are heavy so the engine brake helps to hold the load back so a guy isn't to hard on his breaks
I have been in and around trucks since I was little my family drove OTR..... I'm. Trying to finish up getting my 2 yrs experience OTR so I can get me a local job driving hauling logs or heavy equipment
why r there three trucks wating to get loaded looks to me the boys in the woods need to tanting up. my logging crew u r lucky if theres two trucks wating to get loaded
I done watched this vidja idk how many times it's old But I love the sound of that Pete. When are u going to put some straight pipes on Blacky??? I Bet she will sound like a monster
The turbo whistle never gets old
That truck sounds great I hope it's still running today 2023
Nice stop there buddy it reminds me of how my dad them rolling stops. He always told me "it saves the clutch" lol lol no I do understand what he meant by that!!!

Only a truckdriver gets this.... it's what made most of us want to drive truck when we were just little boys.... Jake Brakes = Badass. End of Story.
Tommy Sargeant haha hell if we wanted to read a story we wouldn't been truckers anyways right Tommy? lol
Logger Wade I would like to log some day and and be as good as you are
William Estepp kķ
Tommy Sargeant I'm not even old enough to drive trucks but your dead on, cheers

Loud pipes save lives. Oh no wait that's motorcycles.🤣🤣🤣🚛

Like the idea that you shift in the low rpms! good way to save trucks!
Wade. This truck would look dang good with 8' inch turn outs on it. But the truck still looks good and sounds good too.

Thanks bud i appreciate it, and you ain't gonna lick this but it's a little C12 kitty cat. We have a couple of N14s but none with louder exhaust.
The unwritten rule in logging..is that when your in the woods waitin on your truck to get back....you hear traffic..but you Know when your truck is pulling in...Thats when you say...There's The Truck!!!
Hi Jeff how are you doing 😊
Just alittle C12 @ 430hp but it pulls good with 390gears and a straight 10 speed.
Can hear it’s a Cat but I thought a C15
sounds like a 425 mechanical Caterpillar engine get her done sounding good just need a little black smoke to go with the noise hahaha
I just got to ask u mite know or u mite not know but. But do some of them new model truck have Jake breaks in them or they don't ?? Bc I like them older models that have Jake breaks

Ernie Desjardins holy cow your like a truckin John Wayne do you do your own tires and brakes are you just a steering wheel jockey
Hey wade, how did that big sent get in the middle of the roof??
Don't use facebook anymore but I drive for a company pulling dry box in western Kentucky and stay in western Tennessee
wut kind of truck is it cuz from the back it looks like either a KW or Petre
now i see why you like those short trucks, i could have never made it out the driveway without climbing the ditch on the other side!
By lookin at the marks somebody already did
+bulldog0046 actually a real log truck can make that corner easily because of the way they turn, the trailer does not cheat...
+Logger Wade Great vid tho :)
+Rocky Rupe A 10 speed? really... Need to be here in the north west...
LOL Sounds great Wade, keep your foot off the clutch when you shift I never use the clutch just grab an go .
doesnt that ruin your transmission?
+wolfox712 not in a semi. it can in smaller vehicles if you dont know what your doing
+wolfox712 Nobody uses the clutch in a semi because it's a non synchronised transmission. It's all about getting the speed of the input shaft from the engine and the output shaft from the transmission turning the same speed so the gears will mesh.
+TheBCSledder k, at the time i posted that comment didnt know. lol
Float it...
Wade,
did like the ride with you here... I see the trees in Kentucky are small ... i have some trees here don't know how to haul... two of them are twelve foot diameter and another is 14 and another 19 feet in diameter... most likely blow the jake if you hauled these down hill..
Yeah Jeff i like that ole truck, thats what a log truck is suposed to be. Not some personalityless peice ran through the zerox machine haha
I am clueless about semi-trucks but am trying to learn more. What sort of engine and trans does this one have? Sounds kind of like a Cummins. I'm from Evansville btw, so I'm familiar with where you're at, wish there more loud trucks like yours here.
