Back To School, NHLA
Had to go back to school to learn some tips on how to control the process of making lumber with less waste. Thanks to National Hardwood Lumber association NHLA a person has someone they can trust to put them on the right track for success. These are hard times, and a guy can't take any chances.

HAHA, Yup we loading lumber in the middle of a Busy highway What better place to load it i ask.. Bought this Reitnouer trailer at an auction a couple years ago Chris pulls it and complains about it not pulling good. Well now we get why. The dagone 5th wheel plate is crapped out on it and the King pin came plum loose on it and the trailer fell off the 5th wheel and slid down onto the truck frame...

Yep, ... even if you're alert and careful and knowledgeable, ... when it's your turn, ... it's still your turn.
Missing your videos waiting on the next one
Would of been a good video if it wasn’t for the annoying dude singing about the chainsaw and saying the same thing over and over

So many mini excavator attachments options on the today market
Loggers are something special. Amazing skill. An art this new generation won't have.

Okay we’re ready for another Logger Wade fix, we’re having withdrawals!😂
Have you ever considered milling up and stockpiling a few of the finer wood slabs, and marketing them to individual woodworkers that make tables and desks? With the YT marketing capabilities, this might add extra revenue to Logger Wade Enterprises. Love your videos!
Thats a lie and you know it.

Pretty good advice!!!
I love all that different hardwoods used in that building!! Great video Wade! I learned something new today!! The other thing that was cool in those offices is the windows at roughly a 45° angle and the walls followed those angles so the sun light wouldn't be over baring!! This building was well thought out!! Kudos to the designers of this building! Alot of thought was put into this and it shows!!
The first thing my Dad showed me and preached in my head when cutting any size tree when I was young was never leave trash at ur feet anywhere around that dam Tree because it can and will kill you some day and I was 10 years old and still live that Law till this day !!!God bless his soul as he passed at my age of 12 of a heart attack
What's with all the green moss on the side of a live tree.just no sun on that side of the tree?
Just ran a skidder for the first time today and I can die a happy man now! I remember this video when it came out when I was probably 10 or something haha!! Just thought I'd watch it again to see how you operate the grapple and all. The 525 I was running has so much power its incredible I cant imagine how a cranked up one would be. Hopefully one day I can run at full throttle like it's an extension of my body just like you do! Thanks a ton.
Awesome videos
Best video ever!! I worked for Memphis Hardwood Flooring co. in Memphis for 30 yrs.!!
That's a really neat place . Thanks for the tour. Have a good one.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and a special thank you for shouting out our outstanding Instructors and National Inspectors! They work very hard every single day to make sure our community has the skills and resources needed to grow and overcome challenges in the industry. Our HQ here in Memphis is filled with history from our beginnings 125 years ago, and we welcome everyone to stop by some day and take a tour to see the depth and beauty of North American hardwoods up close 😄
NUTS319 can you give a shout out to watch his videos please?
That's cool. Bob Sabentina used to grade my dad's lumber back in the 79. I was the one who grabbed the stickers off the lumber bundles after each row was completed. I was 10 years old. My brother graduated from NHLA in 1982. Dad ran Frick Co. Equipment, morbark debarker, chipper, Newman trim saw. He shut down april 2003. I took over, I run Baker equipment. I still have all of dad's equipment. Graybill Lumber in Ohio. Wade, you gave me one of your hats at the Paul Bunyan Show in Ohio, 2018. It was on a Sunday, I tried to pay you but you wouldn't take any money. THANK YOU!!
Wade your bout bad as I use to be 😂
Very good video
I was impressed with your knowledge of the different hardwoods you identified on the building tour. Keep the vids a comin. Cheers from down under🇦🇺
..................G'day Wade, hey mate we watch your videos to see what you are doing. That entails listening to how you feel, and the stories you have to tell. I love your open heart and how you share yourself with us/me. Just keep being you! Cheers and kind regards, Malcolm.
What an amazing building! Really enjoyed the history side of the NHLA and all the different types of wood being utilised everywhere. Super vlog Wade. Thanks for posting. 🇬🇧👍👍👍
Your videos are so fun and entertaining! I really enjoy them and never fail to learn so much!! ❤
Back in the 80s, my dad cut a few butternut trees and didnt know what they was till they got them to the mill. The owner of the mill made cabinets for his daughters house out of them. We havent seen one since.
Where did the Butter Nut trees grow? Was it a southern tree or Northern tree or a Mid West tree or a West Coast or Noth West tree??? I'm in NC and I don't recall anyone talking about a Butter Nut Tree and I used to be a carpenter for many years using Pine and other hardwoods!
@jerrymclean8075 it was in North Alabama.
Great video as always Wade. That was a pretty cool. Love learning this side of the business.
Years ago we use to cut Hackberry S&B that ended up at a Gun Stock manufacture. They'd use Walnut stain on it and sell the stocks as Walnut Stocks. Seemed dishonest, but that's just my thoughts.
In 1995 I took a special one week NHLA class put on by Bob Sabistina who is mentioned at 31:45. Bob ended up representing the NHLA in China.
Thanks for taking us along the floor ceilings walls are beautiful great watch 👍👋🇨🇦
