Turns out Bandai gave us some really high quality stuff for a long while there, and even over in Japan there were many interesting releases that we never got. So here's what I've been buying lately, up to my ultimate #1 favourite...

The correlation between Magiranger/Mystic Force and Harry Potter is anything but a coincidence. Harry Potter was the biggest thing in the world at that time, everybody wanted a piece of the pie. Neither Sentai nor Power Rangers are above cashing in on what's hot. The original MMPR cashed in on the success of Jurassic Park and Ninja Turtles, and subsequent dino shows have tended to correspond with another Jurassic sequel.
I don't own a Magiking, but I want one. It's one of the last great megazords IMO, where pretty much everything that follows is just sticking cars/planes/animals/whatever on a central unit, that megazord actually transformed and was virtually unrecognizable from its component parts. Hopefully Super Minipla will dip into the early 2000s eventually....
Speaking of Super Minipla, the obvious solution to the SMP Black Max Victory Robo set not scaling is to get the rest of the SMPs :P Okay so you can't recreate your entire collection in that scale, they've only done season 1, season 3, space (just Astro and Delta), and Lightspeed (sans Omega), with smart money saying that Wild Force will be next after they finish Bioman. But they're really fun kits, especially the newer ones. You're right that they do run expensive, I don't like that about them, but it's hard to argue with a fully transformable, highly articulated megazord fleet, especially with most of the stuff they're recreating being impossibly expensive to get nowadays due to age.
Nice get with the time ship! It blows my mind that we never got that in the PR line, and I didn't like the mini-playsets so I never got the mini rangers to pilot my megazord. Missed opportunities all around.
And as far as humanoid mecha, rumor mill says the 2021 sentai series will have four of them that pair up to combine in a split down the middle style a la ChoRyuJin from GaoGaiGar or Safeguard from Transformers Animated. You're right that it's not very common.
I have the Super Minipla Ninja MegaFalconZord. Bought it at a Barnes and Noble for $50, and it poses really well for a brick.

Yeah and to be fair so much of early Sentai is influenced by Star Wars in a very similar way, I didn't even think about that Harry Potter connection before!

My favorite Megazords are: Dino Megazord, Wild Force Megazord, Thundersaurus Megazord, Delta Squad Megazord and Samurai Megazord.

i was a child of the first seasons up until turbo (zeo being the last real full season i watched). getting those first zords from the first two seasons was truly amazing.

The next Sentai season is an anniversary season. The separate mechs are supposed to look like different megazords from past seasons

You have some of the best PR videos on CZcams, been binging these recently and I have also gone on a bit of a megazord madness spree getting various robots (Daibouken, Live Robo, Gosei Great, a spare Kyurenoh and Delta Squad from SPD) and it's really satisfying getting these all on display.

One of my greatest purchases ever was a complete Serpentera, with all the stickers, at a Goodwill (Used/resale store in America) for $7.

I would argue CR-01 from Go-Busters is a battle / humanoid zord mode. Also, I’m glad your on this addictive buying spree because so am I as we speak. And trust me, it never ends......

I also went on a Megazord Madness spree last year. Picked up all of the Go-Busters mechas and Kyuranger mechas.
The red time force pilot CAN sit upright in the cockpit, his head is just mostly hidden under the blue arch of the megazords forehead. You can almost only see his legs.
I've been doing the same thing as you. I never watched past In Space. But I've been slowly buying megazords from the seasons after just because I think the toys are cool and I plan on watching the shows soon. I'm finishing In Space today and then I'll keep going. Can't wait to follow along with your future videos!

Some pretty sweet buys there, even a few that I'd kinda want to snatch up myself if the price was right, the SPD line mainly. As for stuff I'm actually getting is those super mini-pla you mentioned, snatching up any first party sale or pre-order of them I can find. Latest being both Victory robo and Linerboy/Lightspeed megazord and solarzord, as well as like a reissue of King brachion/titanus that came out around the same time.
I just bought the Lightspeed Megazord from Japan. Wanted it so badly as a kid to accompany my Super Train. Been looking into getting the SPD as well. This video may have pushed me forward a little
I have the Super Train and Lightspeed Megazord, I'll definitely have to track down a Solar Megazord so I can complete the set

Dino Thunder helped get me back into power rangers/introduce me into super sentai. Then Operation Overdrive drove me out of Power Rangers haha.
I didn’t have the money back then to afford the toys, but in retrospect I would’ve only had access to the American Releases so i’m probably better off.
I’m hoping that the Super Mini Pla line reaches Abaranger and id definitely buy the entire line. With some of the changes they’ve made to the Super Mini Plas, the Dino Stegazord would probably be a bit more proportional.
Great Haul! I remember being very shock to find out a toy of the Life Force Megazord was real. It's a great toy (shame the clips on the pyo red zord snap on mine ): be very careful with them!). The Titan Megazord is another amazing Megazord and fan fav for both Power Ranger a Sentai fans. In fact, Magiking (The JP toy of the Titan Megazord) sold so well Bandai of JP made a special edition that came with part to turn the pink zord into her ball wapon form seen in the show.
I know, I actually nearly bought it a few weeks ago! It's another grail item isn't it, I'd like to get one one day but for now I've only gone with Lifeforce and the Time Jet from the 'expensive' crowd as they have no equivalent cheaper release, whereas Titan Megazord stands in fine for now. Oh the clips broke on my original pyro rescue 1 as well 😭 not ideal
brave man adding up all the money you've spent! hahah! Some of those bandai megazords are pretty resilient! I didn't know a timeflyer existed! I never looked into it, but as an adult who still owns his timeforce megazord I was under the assumption that I must have lost the little rangers that went into the cockpit, guess it turns out they weren't part of the set lol. Really loved how the weapons were stored on the Delta Squad and Thundersaurus; you thought about getting the SPD SWAT megazord? It has a unique feature where it turns into a gun, has strong Lightspeed Rescue vibes in my opinion.
I actually only added the prices today while in the final edit, I figured it will serve as good info for people, as well as a reminder for my future self on how nuts things cost 🤪
Glad to share the info about time force. They should've at least included the blaster! I do want SWAT but haven't seen a complete one for an acceptable price yet.
Dekaranger was the first season I came back to PR/Sentai on. I bought all of the Sentai zords. The Delta Command Megazord's japanese equivalent (Dekabase Robo) is very more shiny.
Lifeforce Megazord is something I bought too, I had to have everything on TV. I bought the provider base (Time Force's zord that smashes the zords through the time portal). I love something not out of USA.
I'd give anything for a sealed Serpentera. Great collection

Be careful with the blue and green time flyers, the connection piece has a tendency to break and will make it difficult to make mode blue.
Red T-Rexes and blue Triceratopses are weirdly common in Super Sentai.
Dammit man! I need that time ranger gun.... Also I just picked up the SPD Swat Flyers.

Nice list you got here. Tiny correction on number 4, it is called the OMEGA MAX Megazord. The OMEGA Megazord is from Lightspeed Rescue. We can all blame Disney on that confusion.
in turboranger turbo builder is also a base playset robot that combines with other 2 mecha combined that fit inside that does an ultra zord like attack to an enemy on this super sentai series.
I had a Time Force megazord, and I cannot for the life of me remember what happened to it. My Q-Rex, White Tiger and Serpentera were all given to a neighbour kid, but the Time Force megazord went missing long before that. Same with all my Wild Force stuff.

If the rumors are true for the upcoming sentai, we might be getting another humanoid team of mechs. Up until now, we've only gotten 1 or 2 humanoids in a set while the others remained vehicles or animals.. :(

Also as I missed this in my previous comment the drago zord(the white rangers zord from Dino thunder)there is actually an extra clip you get in the set that attaches to the t-Rex zord back that acts like an adapter to help drago attach to it more securely but it’s a. Extremely easily lost Part and in the instructions it only gets a one panel mention
the gun stowage on the leg on the Delta megazord is most likely not a reference to robocop, instead its more likely a reference to the ingram from mobile police patlabor, who's gun was also stored in the side of the shin, similar to the delta megazord. not only is the position closer megazord, its also more likely that the japanese designers would have been inspired by a japanese anime rather than a western movie.
Also you should get Koragg aka wolf Kaiser from mystic force. That one was never released in America BUT it was released in Japan and the UK
i have recently spent about 360 on the complete zeo collection minus pryimadis, astro megazord, mega winger serpenterra and tor the carrier zord partly cuz they where there and i also wanted them to complete my mighty morphin collection and start new collections of PR megazords
I prefer the 93 deluxe dino megazord I love that I have only one loose, here in australia spare parts for it are near ZERO, this is a oki doki video some megazords I have never seen

I've wanted a Titan megazord for years, but I can't justify paying so much for it. I do have the Solar Streak Megazord which is fine. I did buy the Japanese versions of the Omega and Supertrain megazords.
Lots of good buys here. I think you may have the same reaction to the Wildforce zords that you did with Dino Thunder.
I've reached the point where I can appreciate the wild force zords without needing them. It's a fun compromise.

I think the 3rd megazord dinosaur chariot that combine with the 4 dinosaurs in dino thunder I would go with the Japanese version loose or boxed.
About 4 years ago I randomly found the Mystic Force Titan Megazord at a Vintage Stock with all the sword pieces. The whole thing was well taken care of and I got it for only $60.

Sounds like it'll be back as the inspiration behind one of the 2021 Sentai ranger Zords too so it's impact continues to be felt

the japanese version of the ninja steel ultrazord was really cool the same with shinkenger gigazord, go onger ultrazord i wish bandai america would realize if there going to skrink the zords keep the funtionality in the toys .

I tend to just straight up buy the Japanese releases cause it usually has more chrome, paint, and in some cases diecast. I do have my contacts in Asia and Japan specifically that do these type of toy hunting as work so they are always willing to help me find stuff for a decent amount. And on other cases that I don't want to bother them with my "find X rare sentai mech" request, Mandarake is where I usually search. Sometimes if not all the time, Sentai versions are cheaper cause they're a dime a dozen in Japan and they have dedicated second hand toy stores there. It just gets expensive when a series suddenly becomes popular 20 years down the road and everybody wants that Japanese release, so the pools of Japanese version toys drys up in all of the places Japan. Like you can still get a Gao King that's loose but in great condition in Japan for a lot less than what Ebay wants. But there are times that if you keep an eye in Ebay, you'd find ones that are priced closely to the local secondary market prices in Japan and just buy that.

12:25 You're wrong, both Pyramidas carrier mode and Battle mode are unique way of combination sixth ranger zord, and it is in fourth season of Power Rangers. You literally said in your Piramidas review that he have two unique modes.
The Mystic Force Megazord comprison to "humanoid zords" you mention Turbo Rescue Megazord, well in fact the Shogun Zords would be the first humanoid versions.
So the Mystic Titans were the first humanoid zords in 9 years since the Turbo Rescue zords. They had done them 3 years in a row until then.

I think I know why the blue zord on the delta squad megazord Is not lighting up. It is because the green zord is actually the Japanese version because bandai America removed the light up feature for the legs on their release.

Not a Zord related question but how are you finding the lighting collection? are you still collecting and how is it going?. I know wave 8 is confirmed/released for PO today, i am STILL looking for MMPR White. some are hard for me to get like metallic pink ive pre ordered Green MM,Zeo and the re released LG hope your collection id growing if you are still.
Still buying Lightning Collection just not sure whether it's worth reviewing at the anthology pace they're being released at. I've purchased all the figs we've had in the UK except deliberately not buying King Sphinx because of the scale. I need to find a way to acquire Zordon and possibly Psycho Green but I'm not wildly broken up if I don't get that. Won't be buying the metallic armor figs either. But I have pre ordered 6x Super Putties to go with my 6x regular ones...

If your able to pay it then Ebay for P Green.

I found it under Timeranger Time Flyer, worldwide search. And waited. A long time.
Yeah, honestly, for all these I'd just stick to the Japanese versions since they normally are more detailed, and have the missing functions. While it is really cool that Victory Dock/Turbo Garage can store all of the Megazords' weapons, it is a bit disappointing that it can't house all the VRV Machines/Rescue Zords, or Artillatron anywhere, nor can the Rescue Megazord be properly displayed with the Megazord hooks compared to the Turbo Megazord where it's a perfect match, same goes for Robo Racer, and Artillatron's Megazord Modes not having any proper place to be stored, that, and the obnoxious "Power Ranger Turbo" logo implemented on the sticker compared to the more accurate Japanese version. I still love the idea behind it! :) It is a shame too that since Operation Overdrive in 2007 (Boukenger in 2006), we haven't been getting the exact same original Japanese Megazord molds... :(

I love that their ultrazords use every piece! I just don't love the zords of RPM - bit weird - though it's easily one of the greatest seasons story-wise. Samurai Gigazord had some handicaps for the zordbuilder version which I could forgive for a price - as in a low price.

there is awesome ultrazords i just buy them used from japan i prefer the ones that have the cool combinations and not as many left over kibble like the beast morphers ultrazord the g12 go onger version of the ultrazord so much better than rpm version.

i do not buy from japan online that have the retail box . the go onger g12 version the better version of the rpm ultrazord you can find some repro parts for this series. the cube ultrazord zord was cool and neat. what series are you going to buy next that you missed out on.
Still on my list are the mystic force lion and train megazords. I'll be doing why I don't buy videos on overdrive, jungle fury, Rpm, samurai and megaforce s1.

@@powerrangertube bandai america did not try to sell high quality products in there megazords i would recommend buying from japan on ebay boxed or loose . i do have the gigazord but have the ape and turtle in there animal modes. there is a super sentai train series.

the best ultrazords are the ones made out of 3 or 4 megazords go onger was more sense why the vechicles had animal faces. the talked in go onger.

I disagree with the statement of Titan Megazord being the first humanoid since Turbo Rescue. What? There were so many in between them... or did you really mean humanoid component zords? Also never knew the individual Titan weapons formed the main sword! Wow! It never showed in the show and you wouldnt know without owning the toy.
