💡Tired of the hustle and bustle of big cities, I gave up my high-paying job, bid farewell to the city, returned to my hometown, and walked into the beautiful jungle. I not only built my own dream home in the jungle but also used my knowledge to help my relatives and friends repair all kinds of machines for free in my spare time. I also helped many of my Chinese fans repair machines for free.

The machine is only 50 years old, so the threads are like babies in steel years. LOL Yeah she probably got one hell of a good deal on it from a scrap yard I'll bet. That was like ASMR steel refurbishment and she was so good at the whole process.

You were very lucky to get that for free! It looked like a good project.
Hopefully one day I will get the chance to do a project like that!
For some things you put in a lot of effort (removing a broken bolt and re-tapping the hole, but in other things seemed to be rushed (pink over-spray on the gears due to not being masked).
Also - please look out for your safety! Tie your hair back, and mind the pull cords on your pants. If these get caught in the drill or any other rotating power tool, you will have a bad time (same goes for gloves!)
You seem to love using open ended spanners! I would definitely recommend looking into a set of either ratcheting spanners, or a socket set - it is just a much faster and easier way to tighten / loosen hex head bolts!

The cities will regret it one day. Cities have to start thinking in terms of producing actual goods again instead of mountains of paper. Sure office work and such is important but every economy needs a base that employs people who aren't well educated but more and more cities are becoming places of the highly educated and a welfare class while the middle class moves farther and farther away.

@@rverro8478 lol i thought I was the only one who noticed this. why does she always hold her hand in front of her face when spaying, because she is putting on two thick of a coat and creating a mist which is bad for over spray.
but who am I to talk, I couldn't do half the things she has done in her videos.
I am just impressed she does all this work in an open air area, with a over head covering, which I finally noticed in this video as it was raining, but she wasn't getting wet during the spray paint segment.
And one more thing, her sand blasting area, is also an open area, where she is in the compartment with all the sand particles. must be insane during the clean up part, all that sand all over her body. in past videos, only some of the items I saw her clean were big items, as smaller items would be better to use an enclosed sand blaster, if she had one.

What you do is important, you show that many things can be repaired, and be given a new life and be used for many years to come, good for the enviroment.

I fully appreciate this video as I too fully restored a lathe; although, mine was made in the late 30's. early 40's and was not in a scrapyard but had been badly neglected by previous owners. I stripped it down to every last part, stripped everything down to bare metal, and gave it several coats of grey Rust-0-leum paint. Where were beautiful ladies who like to restore machines when I was young and single. Keep up the excellent work.

I'm jealous now! What a great find. I would love to have that machine! Turn your chuck jaws around for most jobs. It is set up now for holding big pipes or flanges. Remember the jaws are numbered for a reason. They must go in the same place, matching the numbers on the face of the chuck with each of the numbered jaw. When you took the chuck off of the face plate, did you put it back in the same position? If not you may get run out (wobble) of your parts from center line. Some chucks have a mark on the top of both the chuck and face plate for alignment.
Good luck with your "New Lathe"! It looks great, even it is Pink. Never forget to remove chuck wrench. No GLOVES. No RAGS to wipe off chips while running. Emery cloth will grab and pull you into your work piece, be ready to ALWAYS let go of it. Be Safe!!

All you have to do is touch our and your clothes are all messy? Hah. You’re doing better than me. I don’t even have to touch any oil and my clothes are an oily mess. For that matter I don’t even think there has to be any oil within 100 yards of me and somehow I still end up with oil on my clothes. I am the only person I know of who can get out of the shower, put on clothes that were freshly washed and dried and folded right before I took the shower. After getting dressed I then grab my cane, walk down the hall to the stairway going down to the first floor, go outside and across the street to the medical clinic for an appointment and while I am at the registration desk I look down and there is a fresh black oil and grease spot on the belly of my shirt and on the front pocket and the thigh area of my pants and I know I had not leaned against, or bumped against anything between when I got dressed and when I was bat the registration desk at the clinic and I stayed behind the marker line on the floor which keeps me a minimum of 2 feet away from the front of the desk. I know neither the pants or the shirt had anything on them when I put them on because not only were both brand new but I had looked at myself in the full body view mirror to see if there was any type of ill fitting with the clothes because of the extra weight I have gained over the last 3 years. I honestly can’t figure out where the oil had came from.
