I’ve had some experience with my chicken eggs and I suggest You candle them on the 7th day only and then another 7 days in case any of them don’t hatch on the hatching date so that you can really see if they will make it or not. But you do it how you want I’m just saying my opinion. Have many more great hatchlings!

I agree should wait till day 10 at least or so to throw eggs out. Miss some at say 7 once in a while especially with dark eggs.

That light must be blinding to such new, sensitive eyes that are used to total darkness.

So what im gathering from all of these ytube videos on hatching, is that its not really an exact science. I mean, you can have some variation in temperature of 2-3degrees. You can even remove rhe eggs from incubator and play with them for 20-40mins and put them back. I even saw someone with a open air incubator with no moisture control do a lockdown just by not turning them. So...yeah

Did you have humidity issues at night?

I use this incubator and the humidity for some reason drops at night? Even if I fill it in the evenings. It’s weird

@@maleficent2657 cause the temp drops some in the incubator in these and that don't let the humidity rise as much with cooler air.

@@maleficent2657 Same issue for me. I do have high hatch rates with this specific incubator though.
