there's a lot of gold in that interrogation I don't know if this video has it but one of his statements was "changing their life status to death status"
Coming from someone who is autistic, all the defense really tried to do was blame it all on something they don't really understand, and thus was trying to give people like us a bad rep. So frustrating...
As a fellow autistic man i totally agree. I struggle with social interaction with my classmates every day but I don't want to hurt them for my lack of social skills.
i think you'd need to be crazy to pretend like his autism wasn't the primary factor that resulted in this tragedy... like he was acting out because of his autism in the most autistic way possible
Calling yourself a “supreme gentleman” is probably the most ungentlemanly thing a person could say about themselves. A true gentleman doesn’t need to announce it, and usually won’t think that way about themselves anyway. It’s a description that others assign to a person who they’ve had frequent interactions with. A character witness so to speak. There’s a reason the saying “actions speak louder than words” has been around so long. If Eliot Roger was anything, he was the “supreme douchebag”. 😒
Agreed - it's as cringe as these inc3ls calling themselves "nice guys". Also hearing this giant goofball talking about forcing the Stacy's to reproduce with him during his interrogation is hilarious and terrifying in equal measure
A gentleman is a man who makes an effort to help everyone in his presence to feel comfortable. Somehow killing people doesn't seem to me a way to make people feel comfortable.
In that sense, he kinda reminds me of…not ME, exactly, but of something that happened in my childhood, actually. I guess it happens a lot for people on the spectrum: A group of people around us talk about a joke like it's a real thing, and we internalize it and miss the underlying fact that it's a joke. Led to me throwing a rock at a friend's bike and damaging it, because I thought us girls were going to throw rocks at the guys and was genuinely surprised when both sides immediately turned on me for doing what I thought we were doing. From the outside, we of course look completely absurd and/or crazy, but we didn't get the joke, we thought it was real and acted accordingly. Not saying murdering people because of that is excusable, just that talking about chads and stacys unironically makes sense from that perspective.
That’s the toxic and stupid parents way of thinking they’ll turn him into “a man”. You can’t change people’s nature. You can just destroy all the good they have in them.
@@ladymisanthrophy1436 Absolutely. I thought that in the college assignment video he created, he seemed to be a very sweet and brightly intelligent personality. He clearly marched to the beat of his own drum and that gave him a special kind of charm. The short time he endured in training probably quashed his spirit and helped turn him into the bitter man he would eventually become.
@@motherlessgoat72 obviously. I wasn’t surprised to hear he had autism. Until then I was thinking he was a HPP (gifted), because I am, and there are few differences between us. We are hyper-empathetic and they are hypo for instance. But we are both socially very awkward. I discovered I was gifted in extremis at 40, I was about to commit suicide. Because it’s hard enough in itself, but when you don’t know it and everyone around you tries to change your ways because you’re “too” or “not enough”… well, I was about to hurt myself. He hurt others. It makes total sense.
As a Torontonian whose sister was in the area during this attack, I want to thank you very much for your detailed and compassionate treatment of this case. Keep up the excellent work!
This case always hit close to home. My mother worked in the area of the attack. She and her coworker would always go on walks at lunch for the exercise. When the news broke I was frantically calling her. I couldn't get her, I was about to call one of my siblings then the phone rang. She had a meeting that ran long so she had to skip her walk. I was never so happy about a meeting taking place. The whole day was horrific.
This would agree with Eriksons Stair-Model of going through life stages. If you fail one stage, in a bad case you get mentally stuck at that age - similar to a game where you dont make it to the next level without overcoming the challenges of the previous one.
These guys (especially Elliot) claim they cant get laid even tho they are “attractive, have nice style, have nice cars, etc” but don’t realize what they don’t have; is sanity.
No what they don't realize is that they aren't attractive, they don't have style, they may have a car but it definitely isn't of the quality they want, I'm sure Elliot would rather a Ferrari than some stinky bmw. They're delusional. Just like you.

I grew up heavily bullied and hated by both students and teachers and I never knew why. Still, I don't want to harm anyone. Instead I'm seeing a therapist and they've given me so much good advice that's helped me a lot. I strongly recommend if you are feeling betrayed, alone, hated or whatever- See a therapist. It may take a while to find the right one for you, but when you do, it helps so much.
THIS. In both cases the killers were repeatedly bullied in their childhood. People need to be aware of what bullying could do to kids’ mental health. No kids deserve to be bullied, no matter how “abnormal” ,”awkward “ or “weird” they might be.
The person you’re responding to is basically saying the opposite though bro…. He is saying that he is so great because he was bullied and never wanted to hurt anyone, unlike the subhumans who were bullied bad and have a harder time coping with it.
@@joemamr710 You missed the point of my comment. I'm not claiming to be better than anyone. Simply, I feel if you've been bullied, don't take it out on the world, get help.
No, NOT this. Mental health is like the weather. Just because you have sun, water vapor, and wind all over doesnt mean that you're gonna have clear skies around the world. There are a MILLION other variables that determine how a person will turn out.
I was walking to my doctor’s office on Yonge and walked by as the arrest was taking place. I had no idea what was going on until I saw the news at the doctor’s office. I felt really lucky in that moment. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this attack. ❤
Reid Technique. He was 'mirroring' the weirdo and pretending to be interested as a 'friend' to keep him open and loose so he'd keep talking and make all the evidence 100% obvious for a trial.
@John Ross True, but both men and women use it as an insult. And we're supposed to find it funny when a character in a movie insults a man by calling him a virgin.
Virgin shaming wouldn't exist in a communist society. All of this comes from the insecurity generated by constant bombardment of product advertisements as well as stratification in a capitalist society.
These people are so detached from reality. It doesn't help that they circlejerk with other incels on online communities and never stop to question themselves that maybe their behavior and beliefs are the issue.

Hearing Alek trying to meme-speak his way through his police interview, after just killing a bunch of people, is maybe the cringiest thing I have ever seen in my life.
I had to stop the video for a while when he called his people Pepe the frog types. Like what? How is anyone supposed to take that seriously. I genuinly feel bad for the detective.
the interrogation made me cringe so much.. him talking about "pepe the frog" "chads" "staceys" "normies" outside the internet is so weird and cringeworthy
And that "Pepe the Frog" is a symbol of worship! A small part of my mind wants to laugh at this clown, but the rest of my mind is overruling it by being too weirded out by how serious he is and by remembering that he killed 10 random people and injured 16 more random people. Plus there's a Full Metal Jacket quality to his military experience and Facebook posting that I thought about while watching this video.
These people are maladapted to normal life, being pushed together into a dark corner where they develop their own culture and hatred towards those of the society that pushed them aside. 'normies' 'pepe'and' Stacies' is just their twisted language of hatred.
It's pretty remarkable how quick to asses, respond, and deescalate a situation as well and flawlessly as this officer did; and still no complication or harm during capture.
My son is on the spectrum and he CLEARLY knows right from wrong AND has a great sense of empathy, sympathy, conscience & morality. This guy had way more going on than just being on the spectrum!
I always wondered about the whole "incel uprising" thing, personally. Do like, married couples get left alone? Is there an age range for when you're no longer considered attached to the "chad" and "stacy" label and are excluded from said uprising?
You said it best about being forgotten. I had never even heard this story before so his actions obviously made no impact on me. The sad part is they do not understand they put off creepy vibes that make people uncomfortable. We don't date them not because they aren't good looking or are not suave enough. We don't date them because they give off serial killer vibes that turn people off
Ted Bundy and Richard Ramirez said otherwise. Stop making excusing to yourself and lying. This made it worse. Just say you don't like men that are ugly and weird.
I am an Incel too. By definition. In 31 years every women rejected me. And no women ever showed interest in me. A lot of people here miss why being an incel/virgin affects these people. People have a need for romantic encounters and realationship. It is attached - like every need - to your personal preferences. Some people want a long lasting marriage, other an open realationship and some want only one night stands. But what all people (with a sexual orientation) have in common is the activity seeking for some sort of romantic emcounter with the opposite sex. And God beware. If they dont get it. My female coworker cried when she was single for three months. My sister complained how the lockdown restricted her of hooking up and how it affects her mental health. Only two tell two of hundred examples. Well. Threre are men and women who dont recive the slightest amount of this because they get chronically rejected. They dont experience a dose of any romantic intimacy for years. They walke up alone, they go to bed alone, they nrver have a hug, they never have a kiss and all other things which envolve around this kind of realationship. Thats whats bad. Not whst people who arent even incels trying to sell here.

@@hennylo68 For someone on the spectrum, "discipline" is not the problem. I'm not sure what "these kids" you're referring to, but it kinda sounds like Elliot's "you girls" - a disdainful, blanket condemnation of an imaginary group that you mentally replace real people with.

There is a strange belief that going into the army will cure any psychological problem you have. I’m sure it helps people whose main problem is they need discipline, even regimentation - but there are some people who will crack under the same conditions. Perhaps if Alex hadn’t tried and failed in the army, he’d never have hit the depths he did.
As a matter of fact I did just that. I thought the military would help me gain social confidence, and it did. I expected discipline, structure, and to have goals that I could reach. That's how the recruiters sell it, after all. In reality being in the military is one big mind game where you are set up to fail so that you are forced to rely on your team and your command. It's not a self-help program.
If you were a lazy student with huuge problems regarding discipline, then going to the army works (it did for me), but in this case? It really did more damage than good, especially if the person is not cut out for the military. You need a thick skin; not only because of your superiors, but some of your fellow grunts as well. He really needed psychological treatment as soon as possible instead...

It seems creepy because of the crimes he committed but it’s not actually abnormal (or creepy) for an autistic person to do this. I can relate to Alec’s frustration. However, I never blamed anyone else but myself for my inadequacies. I can’t keep a job or maintain relationships. I have to seek out jobs that allow me to work in isolation. I can walk into a crowded room. Then everyone will clear a space around me. Then vacate the room. Im a woman who's chosen to be single throughout my life, as I am 'aromantic' and 'asexual' I think thats how its called nowadays( I feel bad when I reject guys and cant properly explain lol). But what if you find someone who's a little 'weird' like you, theres someone for everyone. I noticed that my female friends go for people who don't have equilibrium with them, and my male friends do the same- all just base on physical attraction before even seeing if they would be happy with that person. If you start looking at those with whatever niche hobbies you have, and go to things like meetups etc. Youre sure to find someone. Also try not to focus on anyone in the rooms you go into, look aside from people who probably don't even give you a second thought and focus on what you came there for. Same for with work, focus on the job- almost all people have had someone in their job that harrasess or makes them feel outcasted, but if you just walk in and say "I just want money" and do your job, no matter what others say, you're invincible. Sorry this post was long! -btw dogs are the best companions anyways!
I know a woman who is exactly the same. Not a freak- just different. And yes, she is a cat lady. And there’s nothing wrong with her or you or the lives you have. Things just didn’t work the way she had wanted them to. Which is a lot like most people’s lives- shit didn’t work the way I wanted either.
Here in Toronto we don’t even mention the guy’s name. He’s just “ the guy who lost his mind” and ran over a bunch of people on north Yonge St. Although he was given “life 25” meaning he’s not eligible for parole for at least 25 years, he will likely never be a free man again. Like Paul Bernardo, he will almost certainly have his parole application revoked each and every time. One of the many tragic things about this case is that had he sought some counselling and learned social skills, he may not have acted out his anger like this and those 10 innocent people would be alive and the 16 injured wouldn’t be literally scarred for life.
Pretty sure the problem was an already gone.conclusion by then. Had his parents gotten him help while he was a child he could have gotten a girlfriend.
You don't mention his name, but the families of the ten dead people will probably remember him forever. And now he's been preserved in internet history. I too appreciate the fact that we can rely on Adrian to have a sensitive approach to talking about the victims of the crimes he covers. And to give us an opportunity to reflect on their image and humanity and to acknowledge their loss.
The victims' names and faces should always be focused on. Showing loads of attention to the perpetrator encourages more to commit other crimes for the attention
When people don't show the faces it's because they want to keep the focus on the killer(s), or it could be out of respect for the victims and their families if they weren't asked for permission. But of course it's also respectful to acknowledge their existence.

@@Treaxvour exactly
the way he talked about "chads" "stacy's" and "normies" seriously outside of the internet was quite... something.

The way he was speaking to the detective using memes is both hilarious and terrifying as it clearly shows his complete delusion and detachment from reality. It's honestly very creepy in a way. His mind must've been warped beyond recognition.
It seems creepy because of the crimes he committed but it’s not actually abnormal (or creepy) for an autistic person to do this. They often have a hard time communicating or understanding social cues, so they often copy words, expressions, tics etc they think a neurotipycal person would use in any given situation to seem neurotipycal. Another person might’ve understood that these aren’t words people often use irl, but he didn’t.
He will never be safe to release no matter what they say ? He murdered 11 innocent people including a baby without giving a damn about their lives ?
"That's enough internet for today"
@@mandarina4157 Yeah I was actually coming to the comments to say that he reminds me of someone who got roped into bad shit like Chris Chan. He's obviously very much mentally handicap but because he can "function", he's seen as more awkward. Same as Chris Chan. They both seem to have needed a lot of supervision that wasn't afforded to them. Sad all around.
@curry supremacist what are you talking about
I felt second hand embarrassment from that. From using his wallet as a gun, the whole interview, to blaming his virginity. He ruined other people's lives including his own and his family for something so petty.
@@marquisthenononocat418 Being a virgin is no excuse to kill people you incel.
Lmao there's nothing petty about that issue. Being a virgin, especially as a man, is fucking horrible.
I hope he can use his life in prison to destroy at least one other life. The “life” of a coward. There is nothing wrong with using the bedsheets and hanging if you die and are released of all pain.
All he wanted was to get laid! I know they have prostitution’s available in Canada.
I'd love all incels to get laid, just so they have the realization that sex isn't the key to happiness.
this was such a dark year in toronto, there were so many awful events
I remember this case. It was awful.
3 shorts months after was the Danforth gun attack at that restaurant I remember automatically thinking god not again please
Wow! That policeman save a lot of lives.
@Cat Mother extremely professional and crazy thing is people have exited the mall behind seeing that having no idea what had happened
@Michael Rosa I was at finch station literally bout to walk to pizza nova there to grab a slice for subway decided I didn't have time so turned back as I did I heard screaming but let's face it you hear all sorts in Toronto.
I got down to where I was going and saw what happened on cp24.
I live in Toronto and this event was totally shocking and disturbing. Watching this again brings back those feelings. Crazy.
“After six months for undisclosed reasons, he was fired.” I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it was probably for harassment of a sexual nature and for meowing like a cat in his office.
Underrated comment
I mean, there is nothing in the video that implied that he harassed woman.
The meowing was most likely a ticking disorder, most likely Tourette’s.
@@mamajin8035 sure it was
@@masterprick1 absolutely, I’m sure he was fine at the office and didn’t make people uncomfortable at all.
I suspect this guy isn't in an actual coffee house.

Very strange story,thanks Adrian
I live right at the intersection of Yonge and Finch where this happened. I was walking my daughter home from school when I saw all the fire trucks and police cars on Yonge street. I saw all the bodies covered with plastic sheets. I was horrified and traumatized. It was one body after another strewn on the street. Absolutely horrific and I will never get those images out of my head. 😞
Way he said “force the stacy’s to mate with us” and saying he accomplished his mission in killing 10 people. These guys make me disgusted
R*pe them, he meant.
Imagine then the 'incel girls' overthrowing incels who overthrew chads. For not mating with them but with 'Stacys' instead. So the incel girls start the uprising to kill the previous incels. And so on.
These guys? You do realise there was only 1 murderer featured here right?

Holy shit.. can we give a big moment of appreciation for the cop that arrested Alek? He kept his composure, and not one shot fired, and he played Alek like a fiddle with that power move, safely arresting him. He's a BAMF
Yeah, what a loss it would've been if he just put that fuckwit down like he was begging him to do
@curry supremacist natural Selection mate, deal with it and move on incel
@curry supremacist the fuck
@curry supremacist wtf lol
@curry supremacist oh, sweet! A schitzo post!!
Here in the UK, he would have been given a 15-year sentence and released after 4 years for good behaviour!
As a Torontonian born and raised in North York, this one hit home 💙. Thank you CHC for covering!
The way that cop handled that stand off deserves an award. No gunfire just tactical and strategic decision making.
It was not in US, otherwise he would be now dead af
@@SyndicateBastard oh you’re right. Totally forgot it was in Canada.
@@SyndicateBastard good, should have lit him up.
Nah, he would’ve been fine, even with how he provoked the officer - he wasn’t black.
I think it should've ended with gunfire. Or at least with the killer being shot to death. Because now you have a mass murderer living in the comfort of a Canadian prison, under the care of Canadian taxpayers.
Wait, so Alek's hours of playing Halo in his room didn't adequately prepare him for the physical demands of military training? That's cuh-wazy 😲.

I dead ass lost it when he put away and redrew his “wallet gun” a few times. 💀
He was trying to get the police to shoot him, death buy cop, but thankfully the cop handled things very well and brought this lunatic to justice

The restraint that interrogator had while listening to that utter shite he was talking is very admirable. I'll bet on the surface he was calm, attentive but in his mind he was just like: Freak

That freak probably kill himself by now. Lmao.
great video boyo
I can relate to Alec’s frustration.
However, I never blamed anyone else but myself for my inadequacies.
I can’t keep a job or maintain relationships.
I have to seek out jobs that allow me to work in isolation.
I can walk into a crowded room. Then everyone will clear a space around me. Then vacate the room.
Every since I was a kid it’s been that way.
I do bath everyday. I do take care of myself.
However, people have branded me a freak.
I suppose I am fated to be a lonely old man. Living in a cabin deep in the woods.
With a couple of dogs.
Oh well, natural selection is cruel but necessary.
I’m sure that there are females who can relate to everything I’ve just said.
I suppose we call them cat ladies.
It's not your fault, man. Society is genuinely tough on those who are less gifted
I'm female, getting old, and despise cats. Otherwise, right there with you.
I'm female, older, can report similar experiences, yet I detest the stink out of cats, and hate them again. Horses and dogs rule
Well said
You don't mention his name, but the families of the ten dead people will probably remember him forever.
And now he's been preserved in internet history.
It's really irrelevant what he should have done, or what would have prevented this, because it's too late now.
Maple syrup, eh? Drive my van into people, eh?

man, investigators really have a way of getting people to tell on themselves. it's amazing how they maintain a calm and lighthearted demeanor. "right, right, the incel uprising, cool cool, tell me more about that, friendo, can I get you anything? thanks so much for being so open with me, pal!"
It's part of their training, after all.
Thats how you get people to talk.
"Wow man, that's crazy. 4chan you say? Funky stuff daddy o. Oh btw 10 people died here today and you're going to prison for life. Later skater."
Speaking from knowing people, not only is it training but experience. That investigator has probably talked to other people who have done disgusting acts.
This is what happens when you murder pretty people.
The investigators want to hear.
My sister lived at Yonge & Sheppard and I worked at Yonge & Queen. She gave me a call to stay off Yonge Street and was confused until I saw the news on CP24.
I remember this, it was so tragic. I grew up quite near here and I thank you for enlightening me on the details that either I missed in the news or it hadn’t been reported… I was very familiar with the Elliott Rodgers case and had no idea the two were connected - I kinda get the feelings of not having a mate and looking at others couples wondering why it wasn’t you, I think that’s normal, but those feelings that pass - these men took it to a whole other level blaming society. Taking other peoples lives for their own insecurities that manifested into pure evil is one of the most selfish reasons for mass murder I have ever encountered… may the victims of both cases rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

"Alek Minassian was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years after being found guilty last year. Justice Anne Molloy also sentenced him to 20 years for 15 counts of attempted murder, which are to be served concurrently."
I really like the fact that you include the victims, their lives and even their faces at the end of your videos. You don't always get that on true crime channels and it's one of the things that, to me, makes you stand out. Kudos!
Same here! One of the first things I noticed about his channel. Kudos Adrian!
It's up to the friends and family of the victims if they want their faces and names censored
When people don't show the faces it's because they want to keep the focus on the killer(s), or it could be out of respect for the victims and their families if they weren't asked for permission. But of course it's also respectful to acknowledge their existence.
