Kai is a great drummer. We call him the human metronome cause he is always on point. There are some great drum cam videos of him playing. I enjoy Ghost Love Score and Weak fantasy. Those are amazing.
Nightwish is seen by many as a timemachine. Everybody has this experience that a 10+ minute song seems to suddenly be finished after 2 or 3 minutes... I attended a Nightwish show in Amsterdam last November, these were the fastest two hours of my life!

Many, possibly most, of the Nightwish concert videos you have seen are directed/edited by Ville LipiÀinen. He has worked extensively with Nightwish aa well as some for Amorphis, Powerwolf, Raskasta Joula (Heavy Christmas), Stratovarious, and Finnish Television to name a few.

The entire Buenos Aires set list is amazing, and I can't wait until you encounter 'Dead Boy's Poem'. One of my favorite things to do with 'Devil' is to watch this video and focus my attention on Kai's drumming. He's a technical machine with incredible non-machine emotion in his drumming. Thanks!

And to think...Floor wasn't even 100% in this show! She had, along with the rest of the band, caught a severe flu upon arriving in Argentina, in 2018. She was still recovering when this performance was captured on film.

This Buenos Aires concert is fantastic, not quite Wacken'13 level (but what else is right? lol). There's a lot to react to from this one... "Dead Boy's Poem", "Elvenjig and Elvenpath", "Deep Silent Complete", "I Want My Tears Back" (insane crowd hype), "The Kinslayer", "Slaying The Dreamer", "Getsemane", well haha almost all setlist. If this wasn't impressive enough, I can also add that she's just one, I mean ONE, second short from equaling Pavarotti's longest belt ever recorded.

I never watched any reaction videos before and thought it was a strange concept until last year and of course it was GLS. What i have been loving is getting different perceptions and knowledge but also feeling the connection between other fans and reactors connecting with other reactors. It's been amazing.

This is one of those songs that I either feel meh or pumped about depending on my mood đ I always get a slight crush on Marko though (again).
My next recommend would be the tribal/viking dirge Helvegen (I think I've mentioned it once before) sung by Wardruna feat Aurora. The best version is filmed in Bergenhus Fortress in Bergen. It almost gets you into a trance and really feeling the weight of history and your ancestors. It is in a similar style to Heilung(awesome) that I know you have been recommended as well đ

MARKO has said that this is a "love song", a poetic metaphorical love song of a man (Devil) and woman (Mermaid of the Deep Dark Ocean- the Oceanborn) where she does not return his love or seductions. ""I will die for the love of the mermaid, Her seduction, beauty and scorn". In the end they break up "setting the dolphins free", their "song" is over but will carry on, "the eternity will begin once again in peace" they both move on.
Such a great song this one.
I have a question for you.... Have you ever heard about a certain canadian called Devin Townsend?
If not, you have to check him out. His song "kingdom" from the emgtv session is a great way to start, then "deadhead" live at the royal Albert hall.
Devin has put out as near as makes no difference 30 albums. He is called HevyDevy, and the mad scientist of metal. His trademark wall of sound is massive, with lots of delay and reverb.
A then there is his voice, dear God.
I concider Floor as one of the greatest female voice in metal, Devin has absolutely one of the best male voices in metal.
He does it all, and his musical genius is a massive rabbithole of experiences.
So I hope you will check him out.

floor and Marko sound fantastic in this song but the real star for me is Kai his drumming is insanely complex, Jukka was more of a showman but Kai is more powerful, the guitar is beautifully understated in this, the keys are more forwards instead but Kai WOW
this may be just embarrassing to say but I've always had an ear for vocals and guitars...not really drums. When I watched Time by wintersun with Kai...I felt those drums in such a different way then when I felt other drums....dude...I love him!
I would highly recommend listening to the original studio version on this one, neither Marko or Floor was with the band when this was made, and the style of Nightwish back then was quite different and doesn't really suite either of them that well. They can ofc perform it to perfection, but it just feels off and quite different than the original, which I personally think is one of the best Nightwish songs

This is one of the few songs where I think Tarja's version is better. I love them both, but Oceanborn was the album that hooked me on Nightwish, and this song in particular was one of the 30 second MP3 files that I downloaded that made me want to buy the album. (Yes, I'm a pre-broadband fan of Nightwish. LOL.)

Before deciding if Nightwish is heavy or not, wait until you have reacted Master Passion Greed first.
This original song with Tarja is not so good. But Floor did it and made it brutal-same as most songs, older or new no matter. Still cant understand people that claim how Tarja is best Nightwish singer. Its such a joke. Floor can do operatic voice and so much more-she can do everything, even growl vocals. Its really impressive. I love her so much.
