Glad Whistler got some snow, most places are struggling. Need to see a clip of the skis at the end of each day... You can hear a lot of rock in the video... You certainly make the best out of what you get!

Duude that one video a week or a few weeks ago with all the exposed rock and ice was so depressing....but this video was epic the first few runs conditions were sick! Good for you guys up there because you needed the snow.! Please send some snow down to Jackson Hole

Peak To Creek One Of My Favorites
It's sooo good. I've never actually skied it fully groomed top to bottom. Hopefully one of these years I'll get it. Always sunshine and a kick ass view when the sky is bluebird.

How do you like the Deorum poles? My favorite adjustables right now are the 4FRNT Uptrack!
I'm really loving them, the grip is a touch wider than what I'm used too but love the long neck for touring and climbing. The most important thing for me is that a pole is bombproof and the clip adjusters don't fail. So far they are checking all the boxes!

That’s amazing! Which day was this? We are here this week and haven’t seen the peak running at all, and harmony was only running for like two hours so far. Is there a trick to knowing when it’s open?
Peak opened Saturday I believe.
Hey! Peak opened on the 23rd and I just got lucky. Harmony was great for the two hours that it opened yesterday. My trick is usually to check the winds and see if chairs will realistically open (maybe under 80kph) and then the easiest way is to see if the chairs are on the lift line and if bombing has stopped.

Totally! 7th is still a ways away which sucks. Once that chair is spinning it opens up so much fun terrain access that we've been missing.

the video and audio quality from the insta360 x3 are looking much better... what did you change?
I started editing using the insta360 studio desktop. It takes more time but allows you to export in much higher resolution. I had a secondary camera on my chest which captures audio with much less wind muffling.

So when you came off the Peak Express lift, did you go off the back side? Or just wrap around the peak and come out the front? Im trying to figure out which runs you hit when you came off the Peak Express lift? Ill be there next month and am planning my routes :)
The first run he did was Whistler Bowl followed by Shale Slope. It's a fun run! Just the entrance can be a little bit tricky especially if there's a crowd of people at the top.
@@belowtwentyAhh, thank you. Look like the way he went just missed the double black drop in. Im not a huge double guy, so the route he showed on his video is probably what I would hit. Whistler Bowl looks fun!

Awesome vid. Dunno how you ski that shit. I just see hazards, shit for my ski to hang up on and variable edge pressure/ throbbing thighs and knees when I imagine skiing that.
Thanks! It's def variable out there and requires some back seat driving. Definitely feeling it in my knees this season and longing for the days where I can commit to forward pressure every turn in the pow.

All the guys around me were my buddies... It's a free for all on Shale slope, it's part of the Whistler magic. For backcountry and other lines I totally agree you should let the first person there ride the line.
any all mountain skis you recommend trying, thinking of the Nord enforcer n atomic bent at the moment ??
Both of those options are great. Bent is more playful in the 120 size. Enforcer is a damper harder charging ski.
My preference is Nordica but can't go wrong with either
