Jesus he really has played with some players!!
This team is one of the strongest I've ever seen
Agreed
@@Donalob = 👍
Absolutely
Its an insane selection
@@milky2sugars true, but you could counter it with so many other options - Zidane, Maradona, Pelé, Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Iniesta, Gullit, Cruyff, Romario, Totti, Ramos, etc.
This selection really just confirms how good Stam was. Not just the eleven selected, but also the quality of players who missed out.
He cracks me up 😂😂 ‘I pick Giggseh not because of his goal against Arsenal and all his chest hair’
roy keane a player that every team would want in their side he is just a winner a leader :)
you can say whatever you want but he is my favorite player
man utd best ever captain
100% agree
Agree with you about keane, apart from your last comment, United's best ever captain was Bryan Robson.
@@tomdid1 shhh as you can see Nil is very young and doesn't really know all the players yet
Nil 1493 why would you want someone who is a red card waiting to happen
@@AM-ht7xo It's clear you don't know football, stop embarrassing yourself.
A beast of a player Stam was ....
One of the best teams I've seen on this. Guaranteed
This is like having 11 captains on the pitch..... WOWZA!
But there would only be one 😁
Jaap's English accent is flawless! Better than Schteve McClaren's anyway!
Intelligent ANC very cool Guy
Hahahaha very good
Bettie than Jamie Carragher also.
fucking hell did he play with some great players
Seeing Cafu in a charity game earlier this year, I swear he could still play now! Probably one of the best athletes to play the game ever!
Then you must thank Telê Santana, Telê picked Cafu as a young midfielder that couldnt make a lofted pass, and in São Paulo he made Cafu a beast personally teaching him how to pass, and adapting him to be a fullback.
Telê's São Paulo won the Club World Cup back to back in 1992 (against Barça) and 1993 (Against Milan) with Cafu being in the starting XI on both squads, I strongly recomend watching both games as they are just magnificent pieces of football
@@KaoruSF Amazing! Thanks for the info and the suggestions ☺️
My god!! What a team. Finally seeing Seedorf in one of these. He was world class! Imagine him and Keane together. 🤦🏻♂️
Not one midfielder would get past them together
Both have the most Elite mentality for winning
Doesn't come much better than that!
Love how he just picked the entire AC Milan defense he played in. LOL! That was some defense.
one of the best centerhalves ever
If United had Roy now had be worth actually dont think anyone could afford him amazing footballer truly brilliant love him
Maldini and Keane in the same team, talk about mentality, who would be the captain though?
Even his list of players no in it are fucking immense
I'd say Maldini would captain the team, less problematic, more respected and a great mentor for the younger teammates. My guess would be that Keane would not take the armband himself and only be vice captain.
@@arkantos2227 Basically like in AC Milan (captain = Maldini, vice captain = Gattuso)
Anyone on that team- with the exception of scholes could be the captain
Roy keane. Far more inspirational player
@@jericho9653 More inspirational than Paolo Maldini?!? You're on drugs, mate.
What a beautiful team ..Elegance , Tenacity, Pace ,Power , Passing quality , Shooting quality from outside and inside the box , Ball players and Ball winners at the back and in midfield ..It's just a perfectly balanced XI
He’s played with some unbelievable players
Roy Keane a fantastic footballer and a great man as well . All the time he is on tv a listen what he has to say . I think he needs more space in tv to talk his mind .
You got your wish haha
This is a fantastic team, on paper it may not be the absolute best position by position(close though), but you also have to consider how the players interact and mesh together on the pitch as well as how you want the team to play, what philosophy you want to implement, and this team is probably one of the best meshing teams I've ever seen. Would beat an all-time XI just off chemistry and connectivity.
Best One2Eleven so far imho. I like the way he stresses attacking football from a defender's point of view.
He could pick a 2nd One2Eleven who would still be world beaters.
And as for picking himself- damn right.
Beast of a team from the beast. This XI is beating all comers. All.
I would have given everything to see Seedorf play in the prem. Both him and Scholes are such underrated players that made the game look so easy. He’s also the most valuable Dutch player of all time. Unreal.
Players players. Exceptional intelligence and speed of thought that makes the players around them look better. Xavi was like this too
This team with Ferguson as manager would have won the Champions league 5 years on the bounce
scholsy is underrated simply bcoz his introvert attitude. had he been a barca player or as outspoken as few others he would have been counted as one of the best midfielders.
He is counted as one of the best by the people who know. The ignorant masses, like you say, are fooled by his introvert nature
@@jockmackay9582 that is the sad part but doesn't matter this guy for me was the best Manchester player 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@SMthere he was something else mate :)
As an Arsenal fan, Stam was the one player I dreamed would play for Arsenal. When we came up against Utd I would always hope he wasn't playing, it was so hard to get past him.
Every time this man looks at the camera I duck down
True hard as nails legend
Milán season 2005: dida-cafu, Nesta, stamp, Maldini-gatusso, Pirlo, Seedorf, kaka- shechenko, Crespo
This was insane, epic team.
With 0 trophy that season
@@erlanggaprasetyo1606 1 trophy super Coppa against lazio when stam made a debut for ac Milan on 2004/2005 season
Wow what a monster of a team!!
a really really really good team that. very well balanced, great tacticians in midfield, good enough pace on both flanks, physically strong at the back, massive techniques at the front. wow
The amount of absolute worldclass players he played together with is insane.
'before the season started, Ronaldo said he would score 30+ goals that season.... and he did'
Haha that's some top sport mentality.
Johan Smit anyone can score 30 goals in the Dutch league
lol, what an idiot you are... Did you even watch Ajax in the mid 90? Their golden generation, ruling the Europe. At the time along with Italian Serie A and the Premier league was one of the toughest leagues full of top teams and extraordinary players.
Surovi Mensur It's likely that Paul did not watch the Dutch league during the 90s.
Paul Quaife dumbass
Cud have fooled me, I'd think he's british.
Apart from the fact that he sounds Dutch and speaks with Dutch-English formulations. And he looks so Dutch.
I was born and raised outside of Manchester and he does not sound like someone born and raised there at all. His English is good for a foreigner, I have never disputed that. All those towns in the Northwest have different accents. If you are from there you can hear it.
Now that is a dream team!
You are brilliant and so soooooo pleased you picked Roy
As a lifelong United supporter, I agree with Stam's selection. The only thing missing from those types of fantasy teams/ best ever XI is .. another XI in front (plus 2 managers, and at least 3 substitutes for each side).
KAKA is not even in 'not in it' list, so u can easily say what kind of quality players did he choose. Almost all of them like Giggs, Scholes, Zeedorf, Nesta, Cafu, Maldini played almost two decades on the same level and won everything they could win. Legends everywhere. Jaap Stam was a great player and he was lucky to have amazing teammates around him as well.
Kaka should really be on the list. From 2004-2009, Kaka was in the top 3 players in the world.
Not only is this an amazing team but that formation is perfect for it. I think that team would be unstoppable.
his accent threw me completely
damn his english so goood.
The Dutch always do things with perfection. By the way I am from South Africa.
It's practically Milan + Man Utd.
The Milan 2004-2006 was absolutely unbeatable: Maldini - Nesta - Stam - Cafu
Well defensively, no one is breaking that team down. Cracking team
i want this team for my FIFA 17 legend
Well educated man, much respect.
This guy picked the back four I used on Fifa PS, Cafu, Stam, Nesta and Maldini and I used AC Milan. Midfield had Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf and Gattuso upfront Shevchenko and Crespo
Just what a team
A team with full 11 of legends and icon
This team is unbelievable
What a team!
And look at those 4 players at the back. No one would ever to face them.
Actually this is football the defense might be the greatest defense that ever exist in world football it's a shame how Liverpool can made a comeback against us in 2005 Istanbul
What a team!!
Great team selection, exciting yet balanced...
What a team!!!!
AC United with dennis bergkamp on loan from Arsenal
AC Milanchester.
lol good one
Hugh Tube AC United sounds better.
What a player stam was a beast he was
That back 5 is amazing! The front 6 is unreal too
Insane team
That's a serious team
What an unbelievable team
Schmichael over VDS all day! Apart from that, this is a great team if you could get them all in their prime.
Scholes is highly respected by pretty much everybody!
The strongest team I have seen.
he has a bit of a manc accent
What a team!
Quality squad ✊🏾💯
What... a... fookin... team!!!
Stam foi um mostro na zaga do millan
Immense team. Some amount of winner's medals they have between them.
I love to heard him spoke..
Please I want to know the soundtrack behind this video. It's so good! Help me 😪
Very good selection
Everybody praises schooled so highly in Europe it's only in England he's not appreciated because England play shit football
Everyone outside England know that scholes is the best English player (i'm dutch) but you English people like gerrard and lampard lol they are overrated and shit
Scholes was not a very "English" midfielder. Lampard and Gerrard were more traditional English midfielders. I've always said that Scholes would have suited 2008-2012 Barcelona perfectly, but he was already about 10 years too old by then.
+The Undisputed untraditional.. Pfft you guys just likes lampard/Gerrard more who are shit by the way.
+Khadija Majait your deluded if you think gerrard, lampard and terry are shit
Hazapz
gerrard-lampard-terry=shit and overrated. scholes=awesome
from:someone OUTSIDE england.
That Milan team...how did Liverpool beat that!
I'm a Liverpool fan and I watched that game. What happened that night, was a fluke. If we were to replay that game a hundred times over, we wouldn't have won
+therealjeagles Apparently most of the AC Milan players were celebrating in the dressing room at half time, i think that says it all, they thought all they had to do was turn up for the second half. If they were 1-0 up at half time instead of 3-0 I think they would have went on to win it cause they would have taken the second half seriously.
+Mutale Malama absolutely, we had that mad 6 mins where we scored 3 goals and then after that got completely out classed , its the best ive ever seen a team play and still loose the game
+therealjeagles luck, perseverance and Dida in goal having a poor game, was somewhat at fault for 2 of the goals
+Mark Clarke (CavanMan89) Not really, that's just a myth. Hernan Crespo denied the fact that they were celebrating during half time, they remained quiet and acted like it was still a Champions League final against a side that had previously won it 4 times.
What a team. Can't believe kaka didn't get a mention though what a player he was
Wow.. that's some team.
Naughty team that like, he’s had some career playing with some unbelievable players.
when u have bergkamp in your team that means winning!
No when u meet united
Nama Saya Toro we beat united a lot on that time and won the league at old trafford
@@erlendflatmo1362 and we beat you a lot times and won the league...s 😂
Solid team. Take out Scholes and Giggs, and out in Pirlo and Kaka and you have the perfect team. You could also take out Bergkamp, who Jaap only picked because he's Dutch, and replace him with Shevchenko while you're at it. Now, we're talking.
You are just Ukrainian
Bergkamp is better than shevchenko
He put in the Brazilian Ronaldo because he had everything he was lethal there's no need for Shevchenko, Bergkamp would drop off and play as a second striker.
Shev who?
great time
Top defender and good team and he great at English too
nice team
Yipp jaap stam is a big Dutch man...
Nice 1 Roy Keane !
Great choice Jaap... What a first eleven??
Love Stam. Along with Mark Hughes, my favourite United player.
Great, very balance and realistic team..the only difference that i have would be the system..i might go with ancelotti tactic (4-3-2-1) instead 4 3 3..kaka/rooney + bergkamp to roam freely and ronaldo as target man..bergkamp is essential to accompany true goalgetter..
That midfield ... Seedorf, Scholes and Keane wouldn't have given the ball away.
That team is just stunningly powerful..From CB pairing to the power of the MF area with Keane and Seedorf..Add to that the best CF I've ever seen in R9. Probably the best team that has been picked thus far by an ex pro
No argument he played with some amassing players, and he would be in my all time utd 11 no doubt
Everybody speak the same language on the pitch!
Wow Stam has played with amazing players, this 11 would win every game surely, it wouldn’t be fair 😀
Shevchenko crespo and Van nistelrooy on the bench lol imagine seeing that when your a tierd defender and a substitution is being made lol
The 2005 milan team that lost the ucl final were justt as good, basicallu this team but with pirlo, kaka, shevvhenko and crespo. They still lost the ucl final and lost the seria a title on the last day of the season.
I started watching football JUST as Stam was into his twilight years, but already then I could tell how immense he was. Can anyone tell me just how good he was at his prime? Thank you.
+Justin Like John Terry with pace
+Aaron Hemmings fuck john terry
There are few players that ever get universal praise and are considered the best in their position in the world. Stam was one of them for several years.
He was completely composed at all times, defending or on the ball. Probably the best tackler I have ever seen. Strong in the air and on top of all that he could keep pace with most strikers. There was a reason United fans sang "Get past him if you fucking well can!" Look at the quality of the players he played alongside, this was not by accident.
He was immense! He was unshakeable, a massive presence who was clinical in his role, for hos size he was quick and good on his feet,a razor sharp mind too! Just a fine fine example and role model for what a central defensive player should aspire to!
The strongest defender I ever saw (look at him!) and the pace and technical defending skills to match. As an Arsenal fan I was glad when he left United.
Solid team
one of the best defenders i believe
Wow what team that is !!!
Great defender .
Can someone please tell me the background score?
would loved to see Pirlo in this team.
the greatest Regista ever.
Great selection. I think Stam should have mentioned he was from Holland a little more... :D
This fella THINKS. I liked his team
Beyond comprehension that team
That defence would be brilliant
