ABOUT CHICAGO PD
From Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf comes "Chicago PD," a riveting police drama about the men and women of the Chicago Police Department's elite Intelligence Unit, combatting the city's most heinous offenses - organized crime, drug trafficking, high-profile murders and beyond. Detective Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and his intelligence team have always considered rules to be guidelines more than actual laws. Their goal has always been to protect their great city and they have used unique ways to help bring criminals to justice. Now it's a new day and age in Chicago. Police are under siege and under a microscope - everyone from the federal government to politicians and citizens in their own city are watching. The intelligence team will feel the pressure, and their form of justice will be questioned and challenged.

Having Trudy do this scene made it so emotional, how she looks after and cares for the group, she loved Al for the way he was....
Completely agree!
Yes indeed
I love Trudy..the show wouldn't be what it is without her, period
Kind of late, but does anyone know why it was not used????

I think Al should have survived ( somehow) and is recovering somewhere. He could comeback. I miss him on the show. Old time cop.
One of my favorite Alvin moments was during the show where Voit would walk in and say, "when Al gets here", and Al would roll back from his desk and say "I'm Here". He did it like three times. Cracked me up
This scene would've made for a smoother transition into Voight's drunken grief.
Mr. Olinsky had a outstanding, old skool, don't cross me, kick azz, laid bk kind of guy. Loved his character as a human being. Damn near cried...whn he passed away on the show.
Tofarius Evans oh I did cry, and screamed at the tv about why him! WTH were they thinking of? Al balanced out all
of the different styles of cops in one unit.
I'm damn near crying while watching this myself LoL..
Me too
I did cry
I cried during the funeral scene when poor Hank wasn't allowed to attend.
I just have to say this
POOR VOIGHT
He lost his son
He lost Erin
He lost Al
Well, Voight has to burden a lot of the responsibility in the loss of Al.
I know I've cried too much oh this show but love it!!!!!!!
sad part is hank was not a good guy.. and karma catches up to everyone
What do you mean he lost Erin? She just moved to another city .
@@Yaroslav_Tselovanskyi thats a lost for voight
Oh this scene SO shouldn't have been deleted!
i know right. they delete really good scenes
I still think this was the worse decision. Al was a cops cop. A best friend and a all around stand up guy!! I still watch old episodes to see him.
This scene should DEFINITELY of NOT been deleted!! It added so much that was needed!!!! I keep hoping that Al’s death was part of a plot line for something else coming up, and that he’ll comeback! Getting rid of Woods was great, and ALL that was needed to end the storyline and still having the same impact on Voight!
Al was a big part of Chicago PD. Should never been written off the show.
Les Hemingway .Drop the mic ! I thought Al was real. My fav next to Sophia Bush. Excellent scene Never trusted Antonio.
Al was my favorite as well. Him and Atwater
Do I ever agree!!!
Al chose to get written off, he said that voight gets Something, and he said that something will have to be lost too.
I thought he was the best on the show. He acted more in his facial expressions then some of them do with her whole body! Don't care for the show too much anymore it just seems like they just turned into who's screwing who now. They need to somehow bringing back they had him under witness protection or some b******* but the show is not going to be the same without him it isn't the same without him like I said the shows for the younger crowd now that just wants to see who's going to get with who ! it's a shame I thought it was a lot more than that.
This show should be winning Emmy's left and right. Such great chemistry with the cast members who make you emotionally invested in them.
Al was my favorite character, it's a damn shame they killed him off.
They kill off all my favorite characters for some reason, like:
Nadia? Oh yeah she goes through recovery, gets into the police academy, then gets killed by a serial killer for a SVU crossover. Ugh!
That Nadia stuff was rough
I would have loved seeing her become a cop like Linsey.I love Nadia and Al miss them.
The worst part about Nadia's death is that she even got accepted into the academy
Seeing Kim trying not to cry makes me so sad. And Trudy giving the speech thing made it so emotional. Let's just say I cried my eyes out😭
Jay's face, you can see how upset he is. 💔😔
They shouldn't have deleted this scene! So many tears!
I'm glad that we got to see them talk about their memories of Al, I hope they'll be able to recover from this tragedy enough so it won't cloud their judgment while on the job.
Awwwe why was this seen deleted. We needed to see them talk about Al :(
I'm guessing it was the extensive drinking shots of every character. I'm not saying I agree, or am totally correct. I just imagine that's why in this day and age. It's funny, in my neighborhood, the corner stores are backwards. The cigarettes are hidden behind a door, but the alcohol is visible. Why.
@@aaronmichael7116 There was more of a campaign against cigarettes due to lung cancer. There isn't so much for alcohol as plenty of drinkers do so responsibly. That said, change still needs to happen what with drunk drivers, etc.
Ya, I was just about to jump all over that 1 !!! Society STILL can't have alcohol and drink it in a adult-way !!
@@boringperson-zb8vy Makes sense. Also, it just came to mind, we non-smokers can still get sick even if we never take one breathe of cigarette smoke in our life !! It's called "second-hand smoke". There's no such thing as "second-hand booze" !!
@@aaronmichael7116 Very true indeed.
Except for when drunk people are disruptive against sober people lol
Al was the man! He was a genuine soul and that is why I just can't get over the fact that he is dead. Why is it that the good guys always die? 😢
Paula Ormsby-Swaby tbh I don’t think he really died, I think he will be back next season as a surprise. Cause no one really confirm that he died or seen him. Even though Voight asked the doctor that came out of the surgery department. I just think that doctor got mistaken by a different person that Voight was asking. That’s just my assumption. Hopefully I am right.
FatherOfTwoBoyZ Thanks for the additional information. I hope you are right.
Or leave
The editors should have left this scene in; beautifully done. Isn't about time to let Al out of witness protection?????
Excellent suggestion! Have you written to the show's writers!👍🔥
Al's dead!
My favorite show..hands down
Al. Loyal to the end..
What happen to Al
@@jenniferduke788 He was stabbed in prison and died in surgery at the hospital.
Who remembers season one...
"Ok guys when Al gets here..."
Al leans from behind a filing cabinet
"Psst I'm here"
"Ok guys soon as Al gets here..."
Rolls by in his desk chair
"Psst I'm right here"
Hahahaahahaha
Yo niga im invinsible
Ninja Al.
"Hey."
God....How I wish Al would suddenly re-appear. Television land has a way of altering situations....after all, look what occurred with Bobby Hewing on Dallas. It was a dream!!! Olinsky was so calm, cool and laid back; yet he never took any crap from anyone. Loyal to the very end. I clearly recall his last words to Voight; "I got this." Chicago P.D. is the best! 😊
They really should’ve kept this scene in. It helps with closure, seeing the raw emotions from the ones that loved him!
I still miss Alvin!!!!!!! He is one of my favorite one, he always clam but very minded of his experience, love his roll and how he played!!!!
I loved Al. Olinsky! I still feel like crying, I am still holding on to him. He was The Man, so smooth❤🕊.
I’ve waited 30 years to find a cop show that feels like Miami Vice. Chicago PD feels that the grimy gritty version of Miami Vice. I love how Voight and Price always talk about how much they love Chicago. The music is grittier and more foreboding than Miami Vice. I wish Vice would’ve let Gina and Trudy be badasses bc Chicago writes Trudy Burgess Erin and Upton perfectly. All written as badasses on PD
I am watching this again in 2021 and I stand by what I said when I saw this in 2018. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN DELETED! IT IS SUCH A WELL WRITTEN AND BEAUTIFUL SCENE AND IT MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME!
I don't understand why Al had to die Sophia Bush is never coming back to the show and they could have had a body double or something and I feel like that would have had a more impact instead they got rid of the most interesting character on the show.... Terrible decision
Not to mention one of the best actors. Over half of the cast can't act above soap opera level bad yet will probably be around until the end.
At the end Jay is clearly pouring water out of his bottle
I hate that they kill Al. I want him back. The fan's could do something to make the writer to bring him back
Al was the backbone to intelligence and it shows. And very true to Hank 💖..R.I.P. Al
I really loved Al! I wish they'd kept him on! A very fine actor!! 👍
Anything from Chicago PD show = GOLD. I love these guys. Awesome entertainment, and easy on the eyes ; )
they should've added this scene...it brought me to tears 😭😭
This should've been kept in 😢 I miss Al such a cool and calm dude to Hank
Glad I found this. There was something missing and it was this. Hope it's on the Blu-ray.
This should not have been a deleted scene! Such a great scene!
Chicago PD Great scene 😍😍 favorite show
If there was ever a time for Lindsay to make a small surprise guess return to the show this would have been it and it would have been great miss you Lindsay
Sophia bush is by far one of the most beautiful women ive ever seen and my god one of the best built .Its a damn shame she left the show it would be nice if she came back .But its, still one of the best cop shows on tv.
God, do I miss Al. He was so cool, calm, collected; but deep down profoundly passionate!
Eu Adoro Está Série gostaria de saber mais sobre o Eles Brasil Rio de Janeiro 🤜🤛 👨✈️👩✈️👏👏vovó 🌹
*thats Alvin for you*
Trudy’s little impersonation of Al was just so perfect. She didn’t sound like his voice obviously but just the mannerisms and tone, like it was so Al you could easily imagine being in that car with them.
Oh :( This is adorable. I'll miss Al.
Gonna miss Al ,he was a great cop,sad losing his daughter n then being killed .
They are GOING TO HAVE TO FIGURE OUT to bring Al back.... this show is perfection....
Well, we never saw a body.
Wait what he lost his daughter?
@@marthajibbs5179 yup. Lexie died due to an intentionally set fire. She was one of 38 victims. I need to find the fire episode that it crosses over with.
I miss Al! He was the best
Reyna yugiohmaster I do too
Al, what a great friend he was. I miss him, so quiet n understanding.
I liked Al until he planted heroin on an innocent witness, choosing to ruin his life in order to stop his testimony. There is no justification for that.
Bring back #olinsky!
To echo what a lot of fans are saying--for 1000000% sure bring back Olinsky
Alvin kept the show interesting and he was always a likeable character.
Yes
Rip Alvin Olinsky.
Al was my favorite character and I’m not sure I can even watch it now! 😭😭😭
BRING HIM BACKKKKKKK. Make it a dream
Yeah make it a dream he was too good to be written off..
@@jenniferduke788 YES!!!
YES
Yes
Bring Al back. Have come back from the supposedly dead by having been taken off by FBI for a special mission. It's not the same without Al
Should have had Tupac's "Pour out a Little Liquor" playing in the background
That should not have been a deleted scene. End of conversation.
When revival "hits"... I want Al raised from the dead. 😁
Such a sweet wake for Al he truly was the unsung hero of the unit that could say the most hilarious things with such a straight face.
This was a also good nod to how Upton and Jay’s budding partnership is blooming one of the things they share that Jay never had with Lindsay is common ground. Upton lost her partner in the line Jay’s friends were killed in action when he was a soldier and the loss of Al no doubt is stirring that for them both that is a trauma they both share that puts Upton and Jay on equal footing.
Ruzek is such a hypocrite after being Woods’ snitch for half the season he has the balls to judge Antonio if they found out he was snitching for Woods they’d all kick Ruzek out of the unit so fast it would make his head spin. I feel Ruzek who was pulled out of the academy instead of earning his way in like Atwater and Burgess did gives him a sense of self entitlement and frankly he needs to get knocked down a peg to learn humility otherwise he’ll become as insufferable a stuck up as Lindsay was.
I applaud Antonio for not breaking Ruzek’s mouth at the accusation.
totally agree with you on Ruzek. Also Ruzek was in a similar situation with the cop/CI of his a few episodes back. He could have backed up that cop but said he didn't see what happened making Ruzek a hypocrite. Antonio didn't see what happened with Voight at the end.
I find Ruzek a hypocrite too. He even turned in some footage of Jay doing something wrong (forgot now what it was) but Woods wasn't interested. He was on a mission to bring Voight down and nothing else. Could you imagine Halstead's reaction if he knew that Ruzek did that? Ruzek also did not go to Voight; Voight confronted him. He has no right to confront Antonio now.
To be fair, Ruzek was being coerced to be a snitch, Antonio does it for being a good cop, it's not both fault to be fair
Lesbian Maria regardless Ruzek never gave the heads up that Woods was blackmailing him. Antonio while never agreeing with Voight’s tactics has proven time and again he has their backs and would cover up for them. The fact Ruzek turned and never said a word until Voight found out shows how much of a hypocrite he is.
He wasn't snitching for Woods. You guy's are blind ! He was Voights eye's and ears into what Woods was doing. He constantly came to Voight, Every Step of the Way.
Antonio is a straight up I got my back, you got your own back. Almost got Kevin killed when he shot the guy they were taking down after the $$$ exchange. Antonio was 15 feet away and put 2 center mass, instead of in the leg or shoulder ! C'mon, he was alway's out for himself.
He'll be found dead in the season opener from the pill he took at the end of the season.
Lindsey was a pain in the ass, jumping into bed with anyone. And that fkn voice was so annoying. Made me feel as if I was deaf listening to her.
Saw her on late night show and she can talk. She's got a voice. Good riddance to her. Al, nig shoe's to fill
I don't know how his presence will be replaced. It's gonna be tough, gteat role he played and irreplaceable.
Oh my!!! Why cute this absolutelly amazing scene?!
They should have included this as a way to remember al somewhat in the show instead of taking it out man I miss al all the time
I hate Olinskys wife she let voight pay for funeral but wouldn’t let him attend and she had no right to be there as she had divorced him.
Enamorado de jay😍😍😍
This was such a sad time in the episode!
I miss al so much in Chicago pd
What would have been cool is if they had Erin come back for an episode after Al died to morn with the old squad,
They should have aired that :/ poor al :;(
That should have definitely stayed in the final cut
My favorite show
And this is why I love this show.
The Worse Episode ever is when Al got killed. I loved him a lot. I loved his Character, His Acting Skills were Amazing, he gave Adam a run in training but he had to make sure he was tough enough for the Game. I love the Episodes with him in them. He is definitely missed.
For the brothers who ain’t here.....For Olinsky
Voight hides his emotions he lost
Al
Erin
Justin
Grandson
Daughter-in-law
Wife
the deleted scene will probably be in the new season. we all need it.
I hope so a lot was missing when he was killed off. This is it!😥😥😥❤❤
Olinsky was the best character and they killed him...
Love Chicago PD.
Broke my heart when Al died and so unexpected
I cried listening to Trudy!
Ruzek is low key annoying here - Antonio clearly parts from the group cause he's mourning and he follows him to see if he backed Voight? Pick ur moments bro
My sister cried when ye died cause he was her favorite
RIP!!!
Damn, I miss AL....😔
My heart ♥️ hurts
Should have left it in the show! Nice tribute Olinsky
I'm not crying your crying 😭
Of all the scenes to delete, what possessed someone to pick THIS scene?
Probably the same people who decided to kill Al off.
They didn't have to do us like that. :( Al was my fav and still is. ❤ Bring him back as a ghost or something?? 😂
I keep hoping they made it appear as if Al died. That he is in hiding. Loved Al. He reminded me of my late friend Wayne Pruitt.
hailey must go
I totally agree. She should totally go
I miss Al !
I'm ready for season 7 in September
Llore y llore. En esos episodios que triste que olynsque
As I watch this again, I am starting to think that it's not so much that Antonio didn't back the story, but rather he was offended at the question. More like "Seriously? Are you questioning my loyalty? Why would you have any doubt?" Think about it! Voight AND Al had Antonio's back (from getting back his son to when Antonio got in trouble for working security). It would be weird if he was to turn his back now...
They need to bring Al back maybe he had a twin brother that a cop in LA or Canada, I love his character, my brother is in law enforcement and he love the show too.
The Olinsky character was most powerful when he said nothing or at most grunted a word or at most a sentence.
1:30 they always getting into it always 😂😂😂😂😂
That must have been such a hard secene to film and yet they deleted it
There all good actors
Anyone else think he really isn’t dead? He got that phone remember he must have called someone to help fake his death
Wow, that was a great scene. It shouldn't have been cut. I stopped watching for a full year after Al was killed. Bad move, there was no cop like him. Not on TV or in life!
Such a great scene, no clue why it was cut.
I want Al back great actor
Now I want Antino back
So bad that deleted this wonderful moment, I thought poor Voight, He lost everything , his wife, his son , Erin and now his best friend 😢
