- Apparently they can't let her go through a season without getting hurt or kidnapped. I honestly don't know if she's gonna make it this time, especially after all these rumors that Marina Squerciati is leaving the show.
I hope she survives. I’m almost dropping One Chicago entirely. There's only a few characters keeping me interested during those last seasons, and she's definetly the main one. Her relationship with Voight tends to be ignored by fans, but it is still one of my favorites. He always cared about her, that much is obvious. The way the season ended (with Voight acting like his old self) made that even clearer.

The best actor on TV...SHE NAILS EVERY SCENE PERFECTLY...her eyes...her eyes say what she's feeling. ...SHE'S THE BEST!
I agree. We have watched Kim evolve from a fresh faced, sweetly naive new member of Chicagos Police Dept. to a very intelligent and focused member of their elites. She is the best of the best, heart and soul. She keeps me tuning in. Along with the whole endemble
@@leilaloolee9345 I'm so glad you see what I see...I literally cried whenever she got hurt, miscarriage and the episode of season 8 when she was shot was just amazing. this last episode with her struggling after getting shot, I cried like a baby...of course she HAS TO be okay, i hope ...lol. Also the first time i truly fell in love with Marina, as Kim , was when Nadia, awe i miss her, and kim went under cover as hookers and Nadia said take the light out of your eyes and BAM she nailed it. You actually saw the light leave her eyes. I can't believe that she wasn't snatched up before, their loss. She is great and will continue to follow her after this show ends. In my and husbands opinion it is infinitely better than any Law and order show (never liked it)..and that's been like 20 years or so. I never watched it. The acting is no where near Chicago PD actors and other than Jay playing Bobby Brady (lol) way back when I dont remember any of the other actors in other tv shows or films. They all are great even all the guest stars, but Marina is in an incredible actor! I mean Ruzek is great too. Together, wow, seems like real chemistry. I hope the writers are really and truly aware of her talent and that they don't have to hold back. Ok I'll say it ...BURZEK has got to end up together. This is why Kim Burgess is my favorite character on ChicagoPD. Thank you for depicting her strength as well as Voight’s strength and weakness. I think this episode was so interesting and beautifully written.

Kim can't die, after everything with the adoption of her daughter, I highly doubt they would just brutality kill her after all that.
That's the exact reason to kill her off. She has had more screen time and they usually do that before they kill someone off
they did it to Hank’s good friend (i forget his name) but while he was prison, he was brutally stabbed so i mean, there’s a chance that they would kill Kim off
His name was Alvin Olinsky. He got stabbed to death in prison at the end of season 5

You are making a good point here. I also think their relationship Is different from the others members of the Unit. We dont get to see much of their relationship because the writers have to work in other things too but its there. I dont know how to call it either. But he is always looking for her, remember when she told him she was pregnant or when she had the miscarriage?
It seems to me that they are like father and daughter, but it is a very emotional and beautiful relationship.

She was my favorite character on here. She played Kim so well she always knew how to pull at your heart string and when she needed knew how to make you laugh.

It just shows that he's human, people will throw out their morals and cross many lines when it comes to their family or those they care about. If someone took one of my family i wouldnt just sit at home waiting for the cops to do something about it even though i know its the right thing to do, i would be prowling the streets with a weapon trying to find them.
hank told him he needed him to do things the right way in season 3 I think . hank needs someone like j to keep him from going totally old school . it's a necessary part of the show.

I recently watched the episode for the first time, and I gotta say, I think this is the scariest episode of Chicago P.D., and also the scariest episode in all of One Chicago, even beating Chicago Fire's "Not Like This". Mainly because Officer Kim Burgess has become my favorite character in Chicago P.D. and I literally thought she was going to die in this episode. I'm glad Intelligence found her, but this episode was very intense and super scary. Without a doubt, it is one of the most intense episodes I have seen in a police procedural show.
I hope Kim don’t die
The best thing is that in this show, the people do not magically recover the next episode... Theh show the healing process, the struggle

Yes. Ruzek cannot just cherry pick when to follow the law and when to not.
There are soo many reasons why I am disappointed in the character of Atwater but first let's talk about this cherry picking of rules. So I cherry pick which laws I follow all the time. I speed, I run red stop lights, I've stolen, I don't stop at stop signs all the time, I've done drugs... you can absolutely cherry pick which laws to follow and cops (real or fake) do it ALL THE TIME from big laws to little laws. If you want to argue about following them then follow every single one. Second of all, if my memory serves me correctly, it wasn't that long he didn't have a problem with going against the law when his little brother got in trouble because of the girlfriend. He's little brother KILLED someone -said the girlfriend did it but come on he's still an accessory to murder, and Atwater knew that his brother tossed the gun in the lake. So in my mind, he's a hypocrite. NOW YOU CAN BE REFORMED, LIKE A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, YOUR STILL A LIAR AND GOING TO HELL.... another thing.. we all know that burgess and Halstead don't really have a relationship like at all. When was the last time we saw them like hanging out or talk about anything other than work? Atwater was partners and best friends..yet he doesn't even go to her when he finds her......... we also don't see him helping Kim in any way shape or form with Mikaela but she helped him around the clock with his siblings... she even dragged his brother out of a gang house.. yet he can't be bothered...he can totally be a reformist but he needs to go find the gun his brother tossed in the lake and turn his brother in or he's a hypocrite. I love(ed) the character of Atwater but mostly because of his relationship with Ruzek and Burgess... now he's just the hypocrite token black guy and I don't like him. Change him back and give him better story lines or write him out already.

Such a well made edit, especially the audio is so clean, how'd you get rid of all the background noises during the talking parts so well?😍 For example in the "don't die" part, there's so much noise when you watch other edits, you really did great!!
thank you so much! the secret is to use a 6 channel audio, downloading the episode in 1080p. when you do that, the audio comes separated in different tracks, one with just the dialogues, one with the background music, one with background noises and so on. that way you can delete each one of the tracks, except the one that contains dialogues. here's a video explaining it better czcams.com/video/tiOwbYqBeuo/video.html
