One of the best teaching videos I’ve seen . Teacher and student are totally engaged and their dialogue is so genuine… it’s not just “content”. I’m in NY and wasn’t familiar with either Iona or Dan before this year. Now I follow them both very closely. My short game is really improved; of course my friends would say that’s a pretty low bar, but still. I’ve learned a lot from both . Dan’s technical help has demystified a part of the game that’s really confused me for years and Iona’s refusal to let a devastating injury dull her love for the game is really inspiring. I was thrilled to see them team up on this. Well done and thanks!

I've watched quite a few of Dan's videos and he always explains it so clearly, truly is a master of the short game, I think the fact so much of what he taught you was still with you and came back to you quickly as he was explaining also shows his teaching gives you fundamentals for life. This is just amazing.. For an amateur watching a quality player working on minor adjustments gives so much information on basic technique! Both Iona and Dan are just a joy to watch!

At the end you both discuss “showing off” what you can do, which is great. Karl Morris told me recently, before any shot, ask yourself a question to focus the mind and clear away all the diverting thoughts.

I’m a 4/5 hcp .. 70 percent of my practice atm is short game.. Dan has been brilliant for me .. Learning to trust these techniques has been amazing .. It almost becomes addictive the practice.Good luck in qualifying Iona.🤞

I have Dan's book, and made checklists on the releases. As a beginner, I'm learning and its a struggle. But, when I do hit the golf ball right, it is a nice, rewarding feeling. Thanks Iona for the great video.

I watched this video before i went out to play golf yesterday. our first is a par 5. i was just off the green for 3, took out my wedge, squatted more, had soft hands and hit the ball, it rolled across the green and dropped in for a birdie. fluke perhaps but it wouldnt have gone in if not for this video, thanks Iona and Dan

Love this video ❤. It‘s fantastic to be able to watch it.
First time I only watched it because of Iona. Then I could see how Dan‘s instructions nearly immediately worked for Iona. And it was looking very relaxed. Second time I listened exactly to Dan and Iona‘s conversation and tried to keep all information in my mind. Today I practiced some minutes and tried to apply my new knowledge on a 9 hole round. It worked nearly perfect for me. From 4 pars and 4 bogeys I made today I was only able to make 5 of these because of much more relaxed short (including bunker) game. Although I had two total miss shots in my short game. So, it was very promising today.
Tried also Ionas bunker stance today. Made me feel much more confident (=better results).
Best golf day since months although it rained.

i love the lesson videos from both Iona and Dan. I cannot wait to go out practising my short game again. Dan Grieves way of explaining how to execute shots are so great - his tips on chipping and pitching have really improved my confidence around the greens. The visuals and drills he provides are so helpful too. I wish I could find someone on YT who can do the same with the irons/long game. Does anyone have recommendations for instructors who break down full swing mechanics as clearly as Dan does for the short game? Keep up the fantastic work, this channel is a goldmine for golfers looking to improve!

Would love to learn more about that "sliding up the grooves" issue with the 60°. I'll bet there's some simple physics involved there that may not be universally understood in golf.

Would love to hear more about the work done to “accelerate the golf IQ”, there’s a lot of us who have started late but have time on our hands to practice but don’t have “a plan”.

Another absolute gem. Lovely subtle stuff from both Iona and Dan. Ive taken a few little tips from Iona 's videos over the last 2 years and these are the things I've stuck with.
So what did I take from this one? I grip the club too tightly. So much so my left thumb hurts a bit after I've played 18 holes. So what can I do? Lift my thumbs off the grip. Took this to the driving range today, it's absolutely pouring with rain in the UK, and hit straighter shots more consistently.
