Impossible to obtain if you are a new player. With the time trial at least you had a chance...
In my opinion this is even worse if you really think about it. Only 15% of players were able to unlock Wall-e last season for free. And now that the game requires you to have Wall-e to earn 5 of the Eve shards, most of the player base is literally forced to buy the Gatcha boxes if they want to unlock her.
On top of this, the community managers are mentioning some sort of non-regulated leaderboard next week for more Eve shards. Which at first you might think that this is great! But in context what is this leaderboard going to look like when only 15% of the player base who have Eve unlocked (plus those willing to buy the boxes) are the only ones who can participate? Not to mention that those who buy more boxes and have better crew members plus Eve’s epic crew member will certainly be taking up most of the top spots, which knowing Gameloft will probably be the top 5% of this even smaller select group….It’s just screaming for more ways that the dedicated players are forced to open their wallets if they want to stay on top.
The event next week is confirmed not to give eve shards. The second walle objective event can give more eve shards
I was SO happy to see that the event was a quest-based event as opposed to the time trials.....and then found out i need a 2 star Minnie and have Steamboat Pete unlocked. Guess im not getting her then, cause i aint payin.

Got so excited seeing that my 1-Star Wall-E was going to be enough to get all the Eve shards in the first event, and then flip over to see Steamboat Pete is red letters. Depression.
It's still possible to beat Steamboat Pete's mission with one star, it just takes a bit of time.
I managed to do it in less than an hour, just requires you to use nitro a lot, ram into the CPUs at the start and get lucky enough to have items that can attack other players that get too close.

Oh, I was hoping you had found a way to unlock Eve without having Wall-e and Steamboat Pete, as is my case LOL
There will be more Eve shards next week, but they'll require Wall-E as well.
@@TheAntiSantaHopefully the entire Event won’t require Wall-E to be at a pretty high Level, I could only get him to Level 15 and I only need 1 more Eve Shard to Unlock her, only reason why I haven’t got her already is because I don’t have Pete unlocked yet

But seriously talking, this event sucks. I was looking for a good time trial where, at least, the top 30% could unlock the racer, but no.
I really hate about Eve LTE being lock with midseason racers paywall, its not fair at all for F2P/New players...
It’s definitely not fair for free to play, but I’m probably one for the few free to plays that managed to get every racer unlocked, so I wasn’t affected by this. It does suck for everyone else who wasn’t here during the aladdin season.
If I may, EVE not having Cloak actually fits her character. Because in other games she's in such as Disney Mirrorverse, she has shield based abilities. So her having the shield item here actually does work.
Lilo and Stitch has spaceships. I think that's the answer for why that track was chosen.
basically if you are like skyliner and have played from the beginning you have all racers levelled and can unlock all the racers that are coming out - if you started say season 5 you have no chance with any new racer
Unfortunately I don't have Minnie, Woody and Steamboat Pete to unlock EVE.

"Hey guys! There will be a second round of EVE events next Friday. One of those will be objective-based but will require WALL-E, so that will be another opportunity to get her shards. There will also be a box for EVE, waiting on info on when that's going live"

kudos to you for constantly giving us these speedstorm videos! is it just me or is this the most ridiculous event to unlock a new racer so far? I was annoyed with how many different characters you have to use and I have them all leveled up, but like it's just so repetitive.
I don't really know how to feel about this. On one hand I prefer it over the time trial since you don't have to wait as long, and it's much less stressful since you don't have to worry about getting a perfect time or AI screwing you over on that. On the other hand it's the same bs where if you don't have a certain character at a certain level, just screw you I guess. I still only have a 1-Star Minnie and don't even have Woody or Pete, so I caved and wasted 500 of my tokens on the gacha box just to get crew shards. Not a very good first impression.
I seriously hope they go back to re-running events if they're gonna do it like this. I imagine they have to since she's the only mid-season racer this time, but I'm never sure when it comes to this game.
I have mixed feelings. I like that more people have the chance to unlock eve, not just the top 25% or whatever, but at the same time locking EVE behind rare racers is kind of terrible. Like I don't have Pete, and my minnie/woody are both only 1 star and I need 15-19 more shards to get them to 2, so it probably just isn't gonna happen, where at least with time trial everyone has a chance no matter how low that chance is.
15 more Shards is going into Ranked Multiplayer, taking them until the middle of Gold, and then doing one Racer Boost Event.

@TheAntiSanta for Minnie I only need like 10 so getting her to mpr 8 isn't that bad, but I need 19 for woody so that's mpr 18 which is much more time consuming. Because of my work schedule I'm a filthy casual player. There's only so much free time I have for this game. But even if I did decide to spend the hours grinding, I still don't even have steamboat Pete so It wouldn't do much good for this event, unless I wanna pay for hundreds of tokens for a *chance* at unlocking him which I'm also not gonna do. But even if I did I'd have to grind HIM to mpr 18 as well. All by the end of the week
All that is a MUCH bigger ask than just playing a time trial a couple times a day

No Minnie, Pete, Woody or Wall E. Basically impossible for me. And they wonder why people are leaving the game.
I need 1 more Eve Shard to unlock her, unfortunately I need Pete to get it, of the past Season Racers, I only need to unlock Pete, Buzz and Belle, i only need 1 more Buzz Shard, 4 more Pete Shards and 5 more Belle Shards, fortunately those Belle Shards are going to be available in Chapter 9, but unfortunately I need Buzz to get an extra 3 Pete Shards Which would leave only getting 1 to unlock him, I’m hoping there is a Pete Star Chaser Event after the Daisy one is complete
Same here with Pete, I'm so close to unlock Buzz at this point, so I should also bei able to get the three extra Pete shards.
Unfortunately the next Star chaser Event seems to be Sully, as I've noticed today. But it seems I'm not gonna get EVE anyway, since I miss Minnie and WALL-E too 😢
@@leaness98 Oh, I'm aware of the Sully one, but sometimes there is 2 Star Chaser Events going on at the same time, so what I'm saying is once Daisy is done they could get a Pete Star Chaser Event on there, although i won't be as desperate if there is going to an Eve Time Trial Event coming up, thought there was only going to be just these current 2 where i NEED Pete to unlock Eve, I'm also a F2P Player as well, so i'm very limited in terms of Tokens, i want to save up for the Season 7 Golden Pass, so i don't want to waste 300 of them for a CHANCE to get Pete Shards or outright unlock him in one of those Boxes, my main goal is to unlock all current Racers, maybe get them all up to Platinum in RMP so i can get a lot of Tokens

I'd MUCH rather have it done this way because at least you can use the character in a SNAP instead of waiting a week Lol!

Any advice on how I can unlock Minnie fast? And for the double ariel stunt you must do a regular stunt then press jump while the animation is going to get another!

Next week's time trial is confirmed to not have eve shards, instead providing epic crew. It will also require eve so it is not regulated either

i only started playing in season 5 so dont have any of the characters needed to unlock eve :( - no minnie, no gaston, no wall-e, no pete, no you name it I dont have it lol

i dont like the time trial events as i always struggle to reach the top 10 even following your videos, you make them look so easy, been playing since the start so i much prefer this

The time trials are terrible. I would 100% take a "basic" event if it's easier to unlock a Racer. That being said, needing extra characters is rough for newer players. But i cannot relate to wanting to be stressed out and having 85% of players not unlock a character just because you personally have more "fun" doing so. But I know a top player/content creator might not be able to relate which is understandable.
I mean it’s different for everyone. It’s easy to say you prefer these simple events, especially if have all the characters necessary unlocked.
I’ve already seen a handful of comments and people on discord upset because they don’t have Pete and thus have no chance to unlock Eve, which is really unfortunate.
Perhaps a middle ground with no time trial or outrageous racers required would be best, but that’s extremely wishful thinking with gameloft
I was able to unlock EVE the first 30 minutes after I first boot it up.
Now i would've completed the last two on classified directive if it weren't for the fact with every match i enter in ranked multiplayer everone just spams their items like crazy and are mainly just a bunch of assholes (excuse my language). And because of that i am just one shard away from staring up wall-e. It almost feels like they don't want me to star him up. Its honesty quite depressing and pathetic isn't it.

I personally prefer this way since I can unlock them faster. I am good at the game so I always got the top % rewards in time trials, but I always had to re check and occasionally set a new record due to being bumped down and had to wait a week to unlock. With this it's near instant. Just complete the objectives and she's unlocked. Also glad that not only did she have a box like with Wall-E, but they brought back Wall-E boxes so those that don't have him can unlock him/star him up easily. Sure you'll need to pay, but the 2 top % spots should had given you enough shards to unlock him and with enough skills (especially given how amazing he is as a racer) you should be able to easily get him 2 star. I personally got all Wall-E boxes last season so I have him at 4 star level 40 so no issue beating the event for me. Same went for the other event where the lowest level was Steamboat Pete at 25 which was still enough and after him was Minnie at 31 and the others were 35 or above. I have been more strategic leveling up this season since 4 and 5 gave me issues due to having too many under 30, but now the only characters under 30 are 2 stars like Steamboat Pete (only 2 shards to star up), Gaston (10 to star up) and Hades (I believe 12 or 13 to star up) as well as Ursula that is still locked. But I do believe that yes it is hard for new players to do everything, but I also don't think that's an issue. It's a free to play game. They want new players to either grind to one day be able to complete everything or pay for it. If it wasn't an issue for new players to complete everything then what would make people want to pay. What the new players will miss out on are essentially bonus rewards. Playing the chapters to the end requires only Seasonal racers in which one is given for free, limited events are bonus rewards for progress and the more you play the faster you will progress (essentially like stronger monsters with more xp later in RPGs) and ranked is basically compete with other players for rewards. If it is easy to play free and get everything then that would be terrible for the business. I do believe (or maybe you would call it hope) that the prices might well be reduced with Mobile launch because of the increase of players willing to pay. But as it stands the people willing to pay are too low to be giving out more freebies or lowering prices, but that's just my interpretation.
Also way more than 10% has the required characters so while new players are unable to get her at the same time more players are able to get her.
Well in your opinion wall-e event to unlock and achive shards to earn eve so dissapointing, such a shame, you were to review eve wall-e event so dissapoiting for you
its dogshit, i cant obtain it without paying, i got every time trial character by trying and getting better at the game, this method is dog
