- The 'City of Caves', on an island in the Sea of Oman close to Bombay, contains a collection of rock art linked to the cult of Shiva. Here, Indian art has found one of its most perfect expressions, particularly the huge high reliefs in the main cave.

Buddhists are not responsible for constructing Elephanta caves. The Shiva linga present proves who built the caves. Shiva of course built it by appointing the right person for the job. Buddha who’s name means intellect has been appointed to perform certain duties but building cave temples is not his appointment. Shakyamuni Buddha was a very spiritual man who spent most of his time in front of a fire rather than laboring. Or rather since both his parents are gods then he is not a man at all. Certainly Siddhartha Buddha sat under a tree. Buddhists in general never possess any advanced tools. Buddhists tools are esoteric like a double dorje. Only Shiva knows how to conjure up the demon maya to accomplish an excavation like this as well as Elora caves.

Sanskrit came after 14th century and so did Vedas, also the word Hindu is a word used by Islamics in 11th century, what did you call yourself before that? Because the word Sanatan is also buddhist and cannot be found in any of your scriptures.
