The touchpad was always a terrible idea, glad to see Acura finally seeing the light and ditching it. It never worked for Lexus, and it never worked for them.
If you are used to it, it becomes second nature.
The TouchPad works just that older people can't hang with it!
I like it how it was before, only people who doesn't have that are complaining
So now you have to reach and put finger print all over the screen
@@sakibc1787Yes, I didn't buy it because of that stupid touch pad.
Honda read the comments here… see how people are happy with the removal of touchpad? Now just use less of that piano black for trims. Not only do they collect fingerprints and dusts, but it gets scratched up overtime also.
I like it whenever she walks away from the frame. It's her signature 👌
Finally going to a touch screen is the biggest and most welcome news here. The track pad was a terrible piece of technology and I'm glad to see it's being replaced.
Ambient lighting: I don’t change it often, but my passengers love to play with it (adults lol)
this looks way better than the Lexus RX, wish it comes in a hybrid or better yet a plug-in hybrid like the RX
Why not both hybrid and Plug-in hybrid, more options are better for the consumers
The RX and TX are both subpar compared to the mdx
FINALLY a TOUCH SCREEN!!!!
Looks good in the type s, all safety systems should be standard on all models. Great Review Lynn.
Fantastic video!😸
I love the concept of changing the ambient lighting color. I wish my Yukon had that.
I’m sure all of these Touchpad comments aren’t actual Acura owners, have never been in an Acura with a touchpad, and are listening to these reviews who also don’t own an Acura and are spending a week with the vehicle.
After a long day of working, I actually prefer to relax and use the touchpad rather than reaching for a touchscreen in my other car. People are stating “That’s the biggest news”, but you still probably won’t buy an Acura.
Beautiful car inside and out, might buy in the future
Did the 3rd row get Ac vents? I know it has none when we had ours which wasn’t too long ago.
done, my nxt ride! im loving it!!!
A TOUCHSCREEN!!!!!! HOT DAMN!!!!! Nkow if they just do the same to the RDX!!
Owning a 2022, I loved the trackpad. I hate fingerprints all over the tough screen. I wish they made either more air vents or bigger. I feel the car takes forever to cool off.
Why is the Nautilus mentioned as comparison for interior space? It's not a 3 row competitor to this.
The Type S models always look good. Haven’t heard too much about their engines but it sounds perfect for this type of vehicle.
The absence of a touchscreen was a deal breaker for me last year
What is the cargo capacity behind the second row?
Wish I had good experience. I love the car itself but I bought a brand new 2023 MDX about 19 months ago. 2 doors have been repainted due to paint issues, a seat replaced due to leather peeling off and had some issue that they first said is an electrical communication issue but then ended up that some connector came off!!!! All in all I have been to Acura at least 10 times due to these issues and they have had my car for more than 1.5 months. Is this what we call quality?
Thanks for this. I guess I have to stick with Toyota, which I really don't like.
Acura isn't a Japanese company, it's a Domestic company using Japanese drivetrain parts. The build quality is just as bad (honestly worse) as a Chevy. The rattles and other build quality issues I've had in my 2020 RDX made it my last Acura purchase ever.
Hello. About time they change it over…can you tell us about the outside color please! It looks amazing! Thanks.
It doesn't look dramatically different from last year's model. Take notes Hyundai and Kia, this is how to do a mid-cycle refresh.
Agreed. It also helps with resale values when the cars aren’t made to look obsolete every 3 years.
Acura/Honda are always stuck in the past. Incremental features each refresh and charge more for something standard in Korean cars.
It's the same screen from the new Accord. Love it on the accord and this will be such a welcome addition.
Some reviews indicate the MDX lack of 3rd row vents. How has MDX engineered ventilation in the 3rd row.
Acura Watch 360 is the funniest driver assistant name possible... sounds like a weather forecast lmao
Great exterior color for usual MDX. Great improvements inside. I hoped they’d also replace piano black. But still very good improvements. Interesting, did they improve efficiency?
i love my 2024 , honestly i dont mind the touch pad
I hope that B & O did good work on the stereo - the EKG system is pretty darn awesome.
Is car come with spare tire ?
I change my ambient light every month for the season.
Yes, when there is a physical button to change ambient light like the Mini Countryman did.
Lyn, I just love your look in every video!
The center is still too busy… let’s ditch the button gear box. Also the style of the front could use some more updates to add refreshment or excitement. Not a bad looking SUV but a little boring to look at.
Agreed. Though i dont want to get rid of all the physical buttons. Just the gear selector and clean the lower dash abit.
the button gear selector frees up space in the center. most "traditional" shifter handles are electronically controlled anyways now
1:47 yes
Wish they would make this a hybrid.
Bite your tongue! Hybrids will hurt the market share rather than help it. I stopped looking at Lexus because of the Hybrids and 4-cylinder turbos! I would rather buy American junk than a hybrid or EV!
@@Sola_Scriptura_1.618 good for you
Touchscreen?? FINALLY
Pricing?
This is at/near the top of my wife’s list of potential next cars. X5 is a close second, and many others running for third.
MDX is fun to drive.
Do they have air vents in 3rd row?
Yes
I change my MDX Advance's ambient light color scheme every night.
No SiriusXM??
So what is the top of the line package with everything? Was she saying Ace?
Top of the line before Type S is the ASpec Advance trim
@@andrewmelton4673 thank you!
They added more speaker 31 SPEARER BUT THIRD ROW STILL DOES NOT GET 2 AC VENT
LEFT RIGHT!!
Where is this MDX built for the USA market?
East Liberty, Ohio.
Bang and olef, els was the best sounding car stereo in the business
0:45 Too late to the touchscreen game, center console and piano black look cheap
2:30 Safety features
3:00 Still NO hybrid and poor MPG given 10 gears. Will easily get beat by Lexus TX in sales.
4:20 ASPEC w/Advance seems to be the sweet spot
The tech updates were so badly needed. Now they need to make it a hybrid.
They made hybrids in the past and no one bought them.
@@ashescat99 I feel like they were a bit before their time. I don't feel like hybrids have the same stigma anymore. 🤷♂
the hybrid mdx sport had 330hp (only 20 down from the type S) and still got like 50% better mpg lol @@ashescat99; the rlx hybrid also made 377 hp and still got great mpg
it was also a very advanced system as well as it was basically the nsx in reverse
the issue was acura put them in middling cars and went gung ho on EVs which is now backfiring on them
Nice trouser.
Does this take PREMIUM gasoline only?
it's recommended but no you can can use regular gas in it too
So what exactly is the trim for top of the line package with everything??? Was she saying Ace??
Nice improvement, but I think a top trim Pilot is still a better option. Honda gets usability right, Acura is still too complicated… I’m looking forward to the new RDX.
Not unless it gets Accord screen and Hybrid.
31 speakers, why 😂
Why not?! 😂
It kinda tells me that they may have gone for quantity over quality. Of course they could have gone with the no expenses spares approach but somehow I think Acura would still have a reasonable budget versus something like a $250k Bentley or Maybach.
It’s a Acura.. ❤
Still not as good as Genesis or even a Hyundai palisade..was expecting an end to end to screen for driver and center console. But audio system is top notch. No hybrid is a bummer.
But it’s way better than the two jokes of the luxury segment
I thought their hybrid is the cdx and their electric is the zdx if I’m not mistaken.
Maybe they get smart and bring back the hybrid option
Damn no more ELS sound?
Right ELS was an awesome brand wit the MDX
Love the front changes as well as finally removing the trackpad. Would’ve loved to see the awful push button gear selector switched for literally anything else but it isn’t that terrible. Overall still a great option in my opinion.
I actually prefer the push button selector in my 2019 Accord. Frees up space in the center console
need make gps map full screen
Ambient lighting - Set it and forget it.
The absolute positioning touch pad was a decent idea but it was doomed once Apple and Google refused to support it in Carplay / AA. Acura gambled on their biz-dev teams being able to convince them, but they were told to go pound sand.
They act like the RDX doesn’t need a redesign and a Type S. wtf Acura.
Now if they would just get rid of all of the gross gloss-black plastic, I would consider buying one.
sorry Acura but you got the Korean Rivals, that are making much more exciting cars with so many more features that even the MDX-Advance, does not make the line up for a very exciting car.
I probably change lighting once every six months.
The outside looked better but still not a fan of the inside for some reason.
Hybrid?
I just wish they would put a dual clutch on the type s. I think that should be standard for type s
Nice! Next get rid of the gear selector and boom…all set
I love it, but I’m not a huge fan of the new wheels 🛞
If a can get a 2024 or 2023 for less price the touchpad is not going to be a deal breaker for me
This will continue to be a hott seller!!!
For an interior that looks like someone spent some time designing it then to just tack on a tablet to the dashboard.. and all the piano black! Ugh! Mercedes, BMW, Hyundai/Kia managed to do it in a more integrated fashion, wish other auto-makers would follow suit. The rear wiper not being integrated into the spoiler also looks tacky IMO. The vehicle is just meh but that floor lamp is awesome!
Don't tell me what I can and can't avoid.
I prefer the old front end better.
so the 2025 gets a refresh with new infotainment but there still using the same engine and same HP. Meanwile even the American cars like theNautilus are offering more HP and more features. The advance shouldnt even be name "advance" as it is "lagging" technology, efficiency and the current engine output is not enough for a car that is 5k lbs. Acura needs to give the MDX new features, more HP & torque in order to compegte with German rivals.
new paint and new wheels just does not cut it, consumers demand more!
Lady thinks we got ambient lighting.
Hey Acura, what about the abysmal gas mileage?
Don’t want or need a third row. The MDX is a singularly beautiful SUV but as long as it has that ludicrous push-button gear selector, it’s never gonna be in my garage. 👎
I get get into a pilot fully loaded for cheaper price
Idk about the type s tbh
Thank you Acura for getting rid of the BS touch pad. Also take action against that stable genius who Buchered your sales figures because this stupid idea 💡
Good for a leased but not recommended to buy due to Acura low quality the last years. Even the 2012 MDX has more HP
Floating ipad 😂
A lot of modern cars have ipad. At least you get all the physical buttons and knobs unlike a certain EV.
Who has all this money to spend?! All the new vehicles seem to be geared towards faux or real lux! Who has that kind of money to burn?!
I’ve seen plenty of MDX everyday.
clearly you are not the kind of buyer acura wants
Who designed these wheels? 😑
I like them
That’s a lot of piano black… the interior is going to look like crap within a year
Nice changes but I'd go GV80.
ehh still bland exterior styling.
Why has Acura ignored hybrids? They are like dinosaurs.
Just what we need another turbo v6 gas guzzler how about a hybrid or ev, time to save the planet honda.
boring, so little change
I always want to like Acura, but just from the footage I can tell I would not be interested. There is as much piano-black plastic in there as I have seen in some hondas and kias. Unacceptable.🚫
The person speaking is way too low and the background music is way too loud. Speak up and be more detailed. Also, drop all the cringe lingo the kids use. We’re all adults.
Hate those cars. The low-tech/low-end headlights are the most annoyingly blinding headlights that the Honda board should be imprisoned at Guantanamo. Love the presenter, but HATE the tarted-up Honda.
Only crapple ppl need to "upgrade" almost everyone else has been using USB-C for years!! LOL!!
Also Lyn loves using her touchscreen phone while driving, so be careful out there!! LOL!!
I’ll never buy another Asian vehicle.
