The reason why subway cookies are good is not because of the recipe, but because milad gives you the cookie for free
I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS
I WAS GONNA TALK ABOUT MILAD
@@LANEcor3 ditto.
Yes
@Nat Mill same lol
In case anyone wasn’t sure about the recipe, I tried it out with the only difference being I browned my butter and the results were AMAZING the only thing I warn is that you need the butter to cool off regardless if you browned it otherwise it’ll be too wet (1 batch was about 15 cookies)
Does it matter if I use a fan oven or a normal one
It was a catastrophe
Is it soft like subway cookies? I dont really like my cookies crunchy...
Yeah, I made these, they’re slightly crunchy around the edges, but soft in the centre
@@wowow8925 does the bicarbonate soda thing matter?it's the only ingredient I don't have but I really wanna make cookies
Everyone who said to use brown butter is a godsend
I think this is the first time I’ve actually properly browned butter and it was 100% worth it
I just put the cookies in the oven and now I’m reading the comments 🤦♀️ I should’ve used brown butter 😭
At least someone finally realizes how good they are like why would you buy chips when the cookies are better
Wait you can get the cookie instead of chips?
You can get both with the meal. It's just one cookie instead of two
@@galacticbreadboi9796 wait hold up fr?!?!?!?!?! Is that only in the USA?
@@kimoruh9077 i guess? That's how it is at the subway I work at, anyway lol. It costs a bit more for that but yeah...
Honestly, Subway chocolate chip cookies are my favorite chocolate chip cookies 😳 pro tip, heat the cookie slightly in a convection oven for 3 mins at 350 for an incredible cookie experience 😋
After trying different cookies recipes, I've found that the ingredient that gives it that amazing flavor is the brown sugar. Never skip it nor substitute it. Without the brown sugar it won't taste as divine.
yes and without brown sugar they won't be as chewy!!
I don’t have brown sugar 🥲
Brown sugar is the main flavour of cookies
is dark brown sugar ok?
@@overlordessyeppers 👍
Let me tell you guys I never follow cookie recipes especially on CZcams but I had a craving, bought the ingredients and followed the recipe (I used dark brown sugar instead though) the cookies are SO DELICIOUS!!! Such an easy wonderful recipe
I got 16 cookies 💕💕✨✨🍪🍪
Thank u soo freaking much ur a life saver❤❤
P.s it’s for mine and my friends business 🤍💜
Tip to make the best chewy subway like cookies: underbake them a little, a they should still be pale/greyish in the middle. They’ll continue cooking from the heat of the baking tray and then will solidify as they cool down. This makes them soft and chewy, if you cook till they’re completely golden on top it’ll be crunchy and not gooey
Thanks😋🤗

if you're craving this but are on a diet, try healthier alternatives to the ingredients such as almond flour, coconut flour, oat flour, etc. for the sugar, you can use stevia, monk fruit, ethrititol, allulose, etc. you can also use dark chocolate for the chocolate bit. hope it helps you! it might not turn out EXACTLY the same, but it will satisfy your craving for sure 🤗

Recipe in half (sugar reduced)
58g melted butter (make sure it’s not too hot, and it’s warm)
50g light brown sugar
43g white sugar
1/2 room temp egg (around 25g)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
90g flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt (less if it’s fine grain)
100g chocolate chips
(P.S adding a pinch of cinnamon will make it taste a lottttt better)
Steps:
Add the butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar in a bowl, and mix.
Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix again.
Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt, and mix.
Add the chocolate chips, and gently mix. Don’t overmix.

To add more depth of flavor for the cookie brown your butter instead of using melted butter. The cookies will be taken to another level and more flavorful 😊
The brown butter has a stronger flavor that is a little bit nutty but still settle. It is really yummy 😊
Brown butter IS the subway cookie secret ingredient.
@@vonnaj22 what do you mean ?
@@kyanarobinson6060 instead of putting regular melted butter in your cookies, try browning the butter meaning cook the butter slowly on the stove top until it gets a amber color and let it cool. This will give your cooking a different depth of flavor 😊
It's true, I always do that when I make cookies because the flavour stays inside even after 4-5 days
Honestly, I can't thank you enough. I've been searching for weeks to find the perfect recipe and finally my cookies have flattened. Thank you so much for this amazing recipe!
Can I ask how yours flattened I stuck to the recipe but still my cookie like barely spread, I just don't know what I did wrong?
Mine spread too much instead and came out super thin 😢

Just a tip: Take your cookies out of the oven when they are just set from the mid(not fully cooked). This just gives a perfect and chewy chocolate chip cookie💖

hey i always get a weird aftertaste -like im eating a corn- when i make cookies,, do u by chance know why?? should i buy new baking soda or
@@hahahahahhaaaahahhaa Make sure to use the exact ingredients. You may be using too much flour, a different kind of flour or just simply you aren't mixing it enough.

To everyone with no chocolate chips you can use almost ANYTHING (nuts) (m&ms) (sprinkles) etc- or! Simply just bake the batter and sprinkle sugar over the cookies before u put them in the oven!

Literally just left my dough in the fridge to find the same exact recipe that I'm using. Only difference is i brown the butter and i add very soft white chocolate - the type that melts in your hands- about 60 grams . It tastes so much better, the brown butter enriches the flavor and the white chocolate gives it a marshmallow like taste.
Edit: adding a tiny pinch of instant coffee to the butter while it's browning adds aroma and complexity.
Chocolate brands that worked well with me, Hersheys and Nestlé Milkybar.
How do u brown the sugar
@@salama7 sorry meant butter
How do you brown the butter? Microwave it extra long??
@@Ineedthetlousellie i don't think a microwave would work. Just put your butter on a pan with medium heat, let it melt and stir till you start seeing brown dots forming on the bottom of the pan. Once you notice them just give it a few more seconds to see more bits browning. The remove it immediately to a new container.

Another tip is to slap the pan with the fresh cookies onto a surface multiple times. This flattens then and is actually something subway does.
I tried this recipe but I didn't have a measuring cup bc the other one melted don't ask me...
So I measured in table spoons and the dough turned out too dry so I added one more egg and 2 tbs of milk.

Thank you for using grams!
omll, i just made these and purrrr they are literally subway likeee, i was positive i was gonna screw this up some how and i didn’t it was so chewy gooey and chocolaty I love it
Some tips:
Once ur done melting ur butter let it cool for a good 5 mins makes a big diff
PLEASE USE GRAULATED SUGAR FOR BOTH TYPES OF SUGARS if u don’t have granulated like i didn’t i used a machine called chopper for spices but i granulated it’s in that and make use use room temp egg
DONT BE ALARMED OR CONFUSED OR WORRIED IF UR DOUGH IS STICKY THATS HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE, refrigerate it for 2 hrs or more if u want, this allows all the flavours to mix and the dough to harden a bit
Make sure to let it cool for a good 10-15 mins otherwise it will fall apart
isnt granulated sugar the crunchy one and like if you put it in a chopper so its gonna be powdered sugar?
I thought so
Those cookies look amazing

These look amazing. Do u know any egg substitutes??
1tbs ground flaxseed + 3tbs water is a great egg substitute! It obviously doesn't taste like an egg but it acts as a binding agent like an egg does in recipes
You can google egg substitues and you could visit biggerbolderbaking on youtube
Apple sauce works as well :)

The liquid from a can of unsalted chickpeas (called aquafaba) is a great egg substitute! Use 3tbsp to replace 1 large egg.

Hate to disappoint you but that is not how Subway makes their cookies they actually just open up the box that the frozen cookie dough came in grab as many as they need and cook them up that way and I know for a fact cuz I used to work at Subway!!!
I think this will be too sweet
Cut the sugar in 1/2. instead of 2/3 c of br sugar use 1/2 to equal 1/2 of granulated and add crushed walnuts.

My sister and I tried this recipe and OMG it was the bomb...literally. They were crunchy on the outside and had a soft center which is what we like!
TOP TIPS:
Add 10 or 20 grams less sugar than what fitwaffle said (no hate on her she is the best) it will make it less sweet since I thought it was way too sweet
Actually WAIT for the butter to cool down properly
Baking powder and bicarbonate of soda are NOT the same thing so stick to bicarbonate of soda in this recipe.

Milad and only MILAD can either deny or confirm this
I recommend adding about 50-80 extra grams of flour. It turns out thicker, otherwise it's very plain, tastes just like cooked straight up sugar.
That you for showing us the recipe.
Okay guys! I am going to try these right now!!!
TRIED OUT THE RECIPE FOR MYSELF! HERE ARE SOME TIPS!!
So I saw a comment where someone tried out this recipe but only ended up with greasy cookies, so I tried it out for myself!!
1. The conversion of 180g of flour is about 1 cup not 3/4 of a cup (I’m assuming because it’s so light and fluffy)
2. DO NOT use glassware to bake your cookies on they WILL be GREASY. I tried both metal sheet and glassware and the metal sheet turned out well! (Metal sheets as in the same material as those pizza tins you cook pizza on)
Hope that helps!! I’ll be updating this after I give them a taste!
After tasting edit :
I forget how subway cookies taste so I guess I can’t help you out in that regard but it did just taste like those cookies you make from the cookie mix. They were good don’t get me wrong, just not revolutionary lol.
I will say that even though I used around a cup of flour instead of 3/4 of a cup (like some have done) I still ended up with the oily residue on my fingers like people have said (which could be a normal thing with cookies).
I will say that my cookies DID NOT end up looking like hers, they were much simpler and rounder, but that could be because she didn’t use as much dough? Or she flattened them, or left them longer in the fridge, I’m not sure.
mine came out really white but it was still good i had to use more flour
