- Platinum on The Last of Us' Hardest Difficulty! In this video, I went for the PS5 remake of The Last of Us part 1 platinum trophy on the hardest difficulty called grounded. This difficulty brings a whole new experience to The Last of Us and despite it's punishing difficulty, it was still a super fun experience to get the platinum trophy for this game!

I pay attention to every games story, I just don’t show it for most games cause I want to save time in the videos and avoid spoilers. But for this game, skipping over the story would’ve done it injustice

@@LeoDoesEverythingnot at all the case, it’s just told in a medium that some people don’t connect with. all fromsoft souls games have extremely rich stories/lore. the story is just structured in a very non-invasive way through environmental storytelling, npc interaction, and item description. it allows for players to get from the game whatever they’re willing to seek and enjoy it for what they get. if you’re looking for story, delve into the item descriptions, exhaust npc dialogue, watch lore videos, pay close attention to the environmental storytelling. if you couldn’t care less, ignore it and you still have an amazing game that’ll challenge and reward you for triumph.
That whole section with Ellie and the dumpster when u had no ammo felt straight out of a movie ❤

The whole winter chapter is hard because the enemies can hear Ellie's stealth kills too
And she takes damage when you try to melee enemies

This is my favorite game ever because of the story and the relationship between Joel and Ellie throughout this journey. I highly recommend the HBO show to everyone, they've done an amazing job with it!
Is not like it’s an unknown game. This is one of the top 3 maybe even the top franchise from PlayStation. The HBO series is also extremely well known due to the heavy advertising, the leads and director from other top tier shows, so it really doesn’t need a recommendation

So easy to tear up in this game. There are multiple, MULTIPLE parts that do it. The cuts between summer and fall, and winter and spring especially. Best game ever.

One reason it’s one of my favorite games. On easy/normal it’s a third person shooter. On survivor/grounded it becomes a survival horror game

9:40 This is the greatest acting I've seen in video games. The way Joel gets angry and says "Ellie" when Ellie mentions Sarah was something else. The whole scene is a masterpiece. This game is a masterpiece in every single aspect. No TV Show or Movie will cover it. Every motion captured moment, every line, every code and animation is crafted carefully. And on top of that, a perfect multiplayer that works and full after 8 years. It is a 100/100

Yes, one of my top three games ever, along with Ocarina of Time and the first Half-Life. The fact that both of those came out right when I was a kid and the fact that Last of Us stands up there with my memories of those games shows just how special it is.
There’s no way I’d play this game on Grounded the first time around, though. That’s just asking for torture. I did hear the checkpoints are a little easier on the Part I remake than they were in the original, and the checkpoints were such an obnoxious part of Grounded on the original.
Not long finished the remake myself. How you did it on the hardest difficulty, just wow!

Grounded in the remake its a lot easier than the original or remastered version

Currently going through the PS5 version. I played Grounded Mode Plus on the PS4 version and achieved that trophy last year around this time. I still haven’t gotten the platinum since I’m missing the two online trophies (Firefly and Hunters Journey). Going to write that wrong since watching your vids give me motivation. 💪✌️

I remeber playing this game when it came out on ps3 and i cried when Sarah died, finished it a few times and on the hardest dificulty aswell and was the same struggle, eveb finding a brick was a reason for joy! And let me tell you, the game gets 10x better on survivor/grounded you are ALWAYS super anxious and on tense while playing such a master piece

I've played a lot of games in my life and this game to this day is the only one I've ever cried too. An absolute master piece from start to finish. I wish i could get amnesia and play it again for the first time.
