Enjoy a private jungle property on 2.5 acres of land in the RIVIERA MAYA near Akumal, and learn how to paint like the artist Leonid Afremov. We offer a 7 days art retreat where you will relax in the quiet jungle, and learn how to paint with a palette knife like the artist Leonid Afremov. No previous artistic experience is required. Anyone can participate ages 18+
You will be guided by professional artists who worked and studied with the artist Leonid Afremov . The retreat includes 3 meals per day, drinks , transportation to and from the airport or nearby towns. You will be painting in the relaxing jungles for 6 to 8 hours per day. You will make at least 12 paintings during the experience , and will take them all home! All the materials are included. You will be working with oil paints and a palette knife just like the artist Leonid Afremov. You just need to bring comfortable cloths that can be stained by paint.
The retreat includes a tour of the Leonid Afremov private art studio. We also will take you out to paint by the beach, and to paint next to relaxing mayan archeological sites. We will be covering all the secrets, and tricks of the palette knife technique, and style developed by the artist Leonid Afremov. After the retreat , you will not only come out well rested, and refreshed. You will also gain a new and trending artistic skill. The knowledge that you will acquire will help you create better art.
This retreat is perfect for any level of artistic knowledge. You can be an experienced artist , or a complete beginner. Our instructors will be there to help you all the steps of the way. The teachers take a personal approach with each participant. The optimal goal is achieving relaxation via art ,and nature.
The cost is per room . You can be there yourself , or your friend ,or partner. Both can participate at the same cost. The limit is 7 rooms per retreat. The experience is very private and intimate.
We have 2 accommodation options.We have a private luxury cabins, or a more affordable shared house with 4 bedrooms . We have 3 luxurious glass houses with deck and jacuzzi. We also have a spacious 4-bedroom house. We have a swimming pool, private bathrooms, kitchen, high-speed internet, and TV. The property is fully equipped . All the windows have jungle view.
We have additional activities such as yoga classes, massages, (by reservation) and an outdoor cinema. The entire property is decorated by hundreds of paintings by Leonid Afremov. His art very therapeutic and calming to watch. We invite you relax by creating art, and disconnect via clean and beautiful nature. We have daily cleaning services, and free laundry service so you can just relax.
Apart from the retreat you can enjoy nature, the jungle and our proximity to the sea and our activities, since we are 1 mile from Akumal, one of the most beautiful areas of the Caribbean Sea, where you can experience swimming with turtles, eat delicious food and spend time with the most absolute comfort. We are close to several swimmable cave systems (Cenotes) within a short walking distance.
The retreat is held once a month at the last week of the month. The maximum amount of participant is 14 people
