- Dont starve is an absolutely amazing game, with tons of features and difficult gameplay, but what if you took the game and remade it on a phone?
just how bad is the mobile version of dont starve?
well, id say, it isnt bad, but its definitely the WORST version out there, but thats just my opinion, what do you think?

I’ve played the mobile version of this game before. I’ve made a fridge, a birdcage, a nine-tails whipper and maybe explored the caves a bit. This was all before I got DST which is more expansive and regularly updated and I love that. I do wish that I could go further than that.
if they could release dont starve together on mobile with better controls, i would buy it instantly!
honestly the psvita version of the game might be worse for its poor performance and the game having to pause every time it autosaves, but at least it has normal button controls and shit which ill always appreciate, and it being essentially a portable version of the console ports, and doesnt have that weird funk that mobile has in terms of visuals and bugs
i didnt even know the game had a psvita version, thats really cool!
The Switch does that pause when it saves too!
correct, although it is significantly longer on the vita one which sucks. switch would probably be the definitive console port to most people but i prefer the vitas ability to actually be portable unlike the switch which HAS to be shoved in a case@@Luvs2spwge-xu6rd
And the fighting problem is probably from the delay from the controls and the large tilt button

fighting is way too hard on mobile, its not even funny
This is why I shortened the UI, or whatever it's called. Plus, it's less annoying to pick stuff up from like anywhere on the screen

I play this game on iPad but mobile version will be too small for my fingers

At this point it has become an universal rule.
"If a mobile game was originally made for pc it's gonna suck on mobile"
Minecraft got easy UI but combat is limited when you can only use only 2 fingers. 3 fingers if you're using claw to move camera and attacking. but using that much finger just blocks most of your screen overall very hard to control.
but hey, at least they got controller and keyboard support to connect so you can go stomp 8y/o kids on mcpe servers.
It's also the most reasonable game choice to buy on mobile since the pc version costs about 3 times as much both versions iirc never goes on sale so just get any of which you are comfortable with.
The Terraria's controls itself is well made. but maybe it's just me but with all the controls it has it just covers the whole screen. And it's harder to control than on pc.
Buying the mobile Terraria is fine.
it's more suited for people who go outside alot but not recommend buying if you have a pc and often play games at home then pc is always a better option.
And It's always on sale every seasonal steam sale while the mobile version has a slim chance of it being on sale.
For DS Mobile
The game pauses when you want to switch equipment or move inventory. No hotswap.
You cannot link worlds.
No recent qol update.
And Publisher and Klei already abandoned it.
Overall, Just not worth it on mobile If you want to support the devs just buy the game on steam.
You can link dlc worlds, It has the latest qol, It has Hamlet. And it regularly goes on sale on seasonal steam sales.
The game on sale + ROG, SHIP and Hamlet dlc is even cheaper than getting just the base game on mobile. (Mobile has ROG built in)

Well bees are overpowered in all dont starve (not together) versions but i guess this wouldn't be too bad if you dont have a pc or console but like the game or you want the game on the go (still switch version is better for on the go)
I was planning to buy it to experience it, but after watching this video, I don't think I'll spend the money to buy it 😅
nono dont worry, i actually made a follow up on this saying why dont starve movile is genuinely not bad, and theres plenty of points in its favour. I highly recommend checking it out since mobile is actually pretty decent all things considered
@@Purplex08 I downloaded and tested a free APK version. After playing for a while, I felt that the controls were very difficult to use and many things were missing in the PC version.Honestly, it's not worth buying compared to the already very popular and good PC version of this game.
