    It still looks good with the panniers. Great choice. I might do the same. Givi also has a dark option for the black T120.

    I agree with CR 7 months ago, (strange username!) I've been wondering if hard cases on T 120 would be dignified or not. You've shown evidence of much coolness. I now have confidence I can fit them without the bike looking like it just came out of the farm implement shed.
    Thanks.

    You can take a flat blade screwdriver and wedge it into the hex head bolt to keep it from turning and take the nut off the back and remove the footpeg as a whole unit. Much quicker!!

    Easiest way to break a leg off road. And a simple tip over usually racks the aluminum bags enough that they're no longer water proof.

    @TreehouseMachineStudios Před 2 lety +1

    Wonder if they make smaller ones those look way too big on that bike. They styling needs to be more retro for that style bike as well I think.
    Other than that they look like solid hard bags.
    Longride make some cool retro soft bags for those bikes.

  • @paulhodgins
    @paulhodgins Před 5 lety +2

    You don't need to dismantle the footpeg to remove it - just push down on it whilst you undo the nut - saves a lot of time

    • @briannotbrain1355
      @briannotbrain1355 Před 5 lety +1

      I concur. Just loosen the nut from the back side and the whole footpeg assembly will be free. Very simple.

    Hi there, after installing the panniers, can the pillion rider sit on the bike comfortably?
    Your tiny windshield is cute, with that windshield, what is the comfort speed on the highway?

  • @bike_addict

    Thanks for the video, I have a question. When you are riding the bike with the boxes installed between 40-55 MPH, and the boxes are empty, does your handlebar wobble? oscillate? I installed the same pair, I have stock shocks in the rear and new springs in the front. Without the boxes, my Bonneville is great, but with the boxes, if I let go of my handlebars, I am getting steering wobble, unless I put like 30LBS in the boxes, then it does not. Just wondering if you are have an issue like that or not. Thanks so much!

    Great vid’ Allan. Thank you. A question though. Would fitting the Dolomiti rig interfere with the passenger legroom, and footpegs ? I plan to tour on this bike and will carry a pillion. Your views will be useful....
    Regards. Bill.

    • @allanc452002
      @allanc452002  Před 6 lety +3

      Bill, thanks for the comment. My experience has been that it does not interfere with the passenger legroom or getting to the footpegs, with ONE exception: when swinging a leg over, be careful and swing your leg as high and wide as you can otherwise you will scratch your leg on the metal lock on the front of the Dolomiti cases. Not fun if you're wearing shorts :)

    Nice video Allen, not a lot of ummm ands or buts.....Question though, are the bags flipped right to left? I was wondering about having the locks facing forward. It would seem that they would get filled with grit and water faster that way. Thanks again for a well done video....

    • @allanc452002
      @allanc452002  Před 4 lety

      You have a great point, and I forgot to mention that in the video. The bags can be mounted either direction. I like having the lid open to the rear, locks facing front, so I don't have to stand "behind" the bike when loading/unloading the bags.

    Thanks for the video! Just what I was looking for. Just ordered my 2017 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black. Where did you buy your cases and brackets? Would Givi Trekker Outback fit as well on Triumph Bonneville? Thanks again!

    • @allanc452002
      @allanc452002  Před 6 lety

      I bought the cases on eBay and the mounts (Givi PL6410) on Revzilla, but the prices were all similar online. Good question about the Trekker Outbacks - I *think* the answer is NO, they will not fit, because the Trekker Outbacks use the CAM mount system, whereas as the Trekker Dolomiti's use the Monokey mounts. Givi's website would seem to support what I'm saying, but check to be sure!

    Nice video, thanks. Have a question, is there in any way a problem for a passenger with the cases mounted?

    • @allanc452002
      @allanc452002  Před 6 lety +1

      Ove, I had not tried it with a passenger since mounting the cases, but the rear footpegs look clear enough to me. The cases sit pretty wide on the bike also, so you need to be careful when swinging a leg over.

    Great vid thanks. Might it be better to mount the cases on opposite sides so that the locks are at the rear? The locks are not covered, so having them at the rear would prevent water ingress and dirt being driven into the locks. Currently shopping for a T120 and need luggage options, so this was very useful. Cheers.
