As Giants fans we have been spoiled by a decade with Crawford. I don’t even think about whether or not any given grounder left of second base might be a hit, Crawford is automatic.
Nice to see Crawford get some love. The east coast bias is so strong in baseball. He is the best shortstop I have ever watched but I have only been watching since the 60's so
He's definitely one of the greatest defensive ss of all time. Highly underrated and with him having played on the west coast, there wasn't as many eyes to see his brilliance. Off of pure defensive ability I would say put him and a healthy Andrelton Simmons neck and neck for best of all time. BC definitely better with the stick though. Braves fan here btw
He's my favorite ss all time. He's not having a great hitting year in 23 and he's still over .300 with runners in scoring position. Greatest fielding ss of all time.
The giants did this humble 3 time world and Allstar dirty. He offered to stay on as an advisor and mentor not expecting to play at all but they said no flat out. Just a slap in his face to an incredible guy. Good luck Craw.
@@thewkovacs316giants policy is that you have to be a hall of famer, but….. they probably changed it since they retired Will Clark’s number. I hope they retire 55 40 and 28. 35 too sure!
@@morcatna4767 bonds number is out there....and he most likely is never getting into the hof. i think the best ss in giants history deserves to have his number retired
Watch Ozzie Smith's best of reel after this. His best plays look like an average Craw game. Most of the plays looks like something Kruk and Kuip wouldn't bat an eye at if Crawford made them.
I think Crawford is top 5 ss all time. He's just a mad man on field and at plate. So much range on defense. Not many better the BC. Definitely best Giants ss all time
If you truly knew the game you could obviously see these plays were made way harder than the had to be. The guy had no range. He had decent hands and a good arm. Better suited as a 3B. But he couldnt hit either so idk where I would have played a guy who makes routine plays look so flashy. I want an Omar Vizquel type who made EVERY play look routine. Wake up. Take the orange and black glasses off please. Crawford is a joke.

Wow 😮
"on the ground to crawford" for years was music to my ears

So smooth with no selfish fanfare. A consummate professional.

Crawford makes the easy plays look easy and the hard plays even easier.
Watching Crawford and Pat Bailey lead your team towards the playoffs has to be a great experience leaving memories for a lifetime

Dodgers fan here. Crawford was severely underrated. Definitely one of the best defensive shortstops of all time.
One of the best defensive shortstops to ever play, dude jus smooth wit it
It's been a privilege to watch him play all these years. Even the Dodgers applauded him the day he retired. Now that's respect.
This is my first time hearing of this guy and seeing his defence. Wow!!! I’ve always loved shortstops for some reason and this guy is the real deal
Future MLB HOFer
Agree 100%
offensive numbers not good enough
how many guys in the hof based mostly on defense?
he definitely will have his number retired by the giants

@@thewkovacs316 agreed!
And now he's pithched the final inning of an MLB game.
He is poetry in motion.
The greatest shortstop in Giants franchise history and it's not even close.
Not. Even. Close.
God knows how much ill miss this guy, phenomenal on and off the field.

Department of Defense Contractor - Brandon Crawford.
Those throws are easy when you are a pitcher playing SS.
No one does it better than BCraw🧡🖤🧡🖤
He is a True
Major. League. Blessing!!
We Love You Lots, Brandon!!
💛💛🐈⬛🐈⬛
Crawford is the Barry Larkin of this past era. HOFer.
I could just watch highlights of B Craw getting dodgers out forever.
Idk if he is a HOF candidate but he sure will be on the Giants wall of fame
Im al lifetime dodger fan but Crawford is by far best SS of my generation..............
Welcome to the Cardinals
I never appreciated Crawford more then when the Marco Luciano experiment at SS began.
I think Crawford is top 5 ss all time. He's just a mad man on field and at plate. So much range on defense. Not many better the BC. Definitely best Giants ss all time
He should of won way more gold gloves.
You're just best off if you don't hit it on the ground on the left side of the field. Anywhere but there.
He doesn't have any "golden" gloves, unless he's also a boxer.
Well, his defense is a bit better than Luciano.
gonna be great when they retire his number, so that his name will be on both a brick and on the of wall

Tell that to 4 gold gloves
Sorry, but he will never beat the Great OZ. Ozzie Smith.
So you came to find a Brandon Crawford video to write about Ozzie smith? Go watch Ozzie smith videos dummy.
who got more rings
Will Clark beat the great OZ's head in. Thats all that matters
Don't think he was out to beat Smith--he was out to win games.
No kidding
I’ll miss him. He’s my favorite ss ever. Too much love GIANT. 🥹⚾️⚾️🧡🧡
