    This video is unique from other Windows resetting tutorials in that it tells what's going to be effected, and what' not. Great video. 👍🏼

    My comp has been acting up of late. I've done a keep files reset to no avail so i'm going to attempt a full reset. My question is to save my data files can I just put them in a folder on the desktop then drag that file into my external drive and after reset simply drag them back? Obviously I'm a bit of a novice at this.

    Thanks for the video, it helps a lot. I have one question. When I go into the "keep my files" menu, I have the option to see the apps that will be deleted. It's showing apps from a different hard drive even though I don't want to delete them. Is this just something I can ignore or no?

    I am looking for a wifi cam can pick up license plates numbers, as I wish its not so expensive.

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 3 lety

      That's a tough one since WiFi is usually 4MP or less due to the band width limitations. You might want to consider a 6mm 4-5MP Wifi fixed lens camera depending on the distance between the camera and the area of surveillance.

    hey boss.. when i click on the "remove everything" it then goes to a menu where it says "how would you like to reinstall windows ? ; the cloud download and reinstall or Local install : reinstall windows from this device" ... it doesn't go to the "additiional settings and give me the addional setting such as "data errasure and data drives" .. its super frustrating because i want to do a COMPLETE data errasure on my drives ... IDK what to do this is driving me nuts...

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 4 lety

      This post should help answer your question on cloud vs local: www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-gets-a-cloud-reset-feature-here-s-how-it-works/
      "Cloud Reinstall" and "Local Reinstall". If you choose the first option, Windows will reinstall the same build, version, and edition by downloading the files from Microsoft's servers. If you choose the second option, Windows will be reinstalled with the system image stored in your recovery partition.

    Hey i got a question is it possible to delete a SD card remotely because I got one in my wyze cam and I was gone and I seen something in my house on my live feed but now when I look back on the cam now it's like someone erase 2 minutes of it

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 3 lety +1

      If someone accessed the WYZE camera remotely (through the app), they could only format the card. I don't think there is a way to delete individual events or just a portion of history.

      I guess it could if you've made performance enhancing modifications and then lose them with a reset

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před rokem +1

      You would have to search through your hard drive and copy anything you want to keep to a flash drive or an external hard drive. Don't forget to check your Documents folder, desktop and browser favorites/bookmarks.

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes and ensure your personal files are deleted before doing the reset. If you have multiple hard drives, only the windows' drive will be reset.

    hi , if i have free windows installed from a usb from a friend and select the second option with delete everything i will need a key or how i can install it back or it will reinstall automatically without any usb or key pls help

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 4 lety

      I'm not sure about the free version of Windows, but with mine, when selecting the second option, Windows was reinstalled automatically. No USB or reentering the licence key was required.

    My laptop keyboard it's working properly.. does reinstaletion of window fix it please..

    • @HomeTechDIY
      @HomeTechDIY  Před 3 lety

      I doubt it but it depends on what the issue is with the keyboard. For example, are certain letters not working (hardware issue) or is it printing French characters (software configuration issue)? What are the symptoms and is your model keyboard prone it the issues you are experiencing?
