clean up the back of the jumps and pat those down with the shovel too, otherwise bad weather will cause them to collapse, you want them as smooth as possible to help water drain off

Loving this brother, keep it up! Few things that helped us with our jumps that will save you in the long run.
-Need you a good long handled shovel, will save the back.
-Should also build up a screening sieve on 4 legs that you can put a wheel barrow under and attach hinges to so you can shake/lift the rocks off.
-to help pack the soft dirt after shaping, fill the barrow with rocks and push it up and down the landing/take off. Will get some good hard lines in without churning it.

Get a whacker plate either a petrol one which usually are smaller and able to get up and done small transitions or a forward reverse diesel one which are bigger (harder to manage) but a lot more heavy duty. Awesome vids bro keep em up laaaaaaahhh!!!

Try and get a riddler bucket for the digger to separate the bigger rocks from the soils. Not sure if they do them for mini diggers though.

You need to build some sort of dirt sifter and sift all the stones and rocks out of it and then use that good dirt to pack and shape the jumps it will save you so much time

You could get some heavy duty metal animal fencing fixed at an angle and then use your digger to drop the soil onto it. Soil falls through, rocks dont.

Loving the build, you need to find a way of separating the rocks from dirt so you have even better dirt plus it makes it easier to compact the jumps and use the rocks for foundations.

Great stuff Harry what you need is a dirt screen mate just get some concrete reinforcing mesh stick it on a wooden frame so it's at about 45 degrees and then cover it in fine chicken wire so when you dig a bucket of rock and soil tip it at the top of the screen and you will end up with rocks on one side and nice soil on the underneath will save you all that rock sorting 👍

Man I love this and I'm not a pro but as an older bmx racer it looks like you are squashing the jump to land in the right spot. If that's the case when it goes hard you are going to oversend and land deep. That landing really needs to be a step up especially if plan on linking the drop at the top of the rollin otherwise y'all will be sending to flat.

Dude!!! You should slap wood on the back of the wooden take off so you can drop in on the DJ or Jump on the MTb or make a platform etc. lil tip with the spade when your packing the soil, you need to slap and slide. Hard to explain but you need to slap/slide the shovel at the same time. Packs the dirt in mega hard and leave it with a smooth finish less likely to crumble and it's much easier then straight slapping it 🔥🔥🔥

I'd definitely reccomend digging a hole some where that you could cover in a tarp or damp proof membrane to act as a pond to catch rain water so then you ain't gotta bring water and can water your jumps when ever you need to. Sure it wouldn't take long to full up with our british weather

One thing you could do to help filter good dirt is make a platform out of wood, and put chicken wire across the top. Drop your rocks and dirt into the top and shake the hell out of it, the rocks will stay on top and the dirt will filter through... Or get down your local Tesco and nick a shopping trolly to do the same job, but with wheels!

Hardest part and most important part for the build is going to be getting some large plastic water steel reinforced containers like used on a construction site which you can put a small pump on with a generator, its going to be an awesome series hopefully you get a few more hands and some funds to get some other machinery - like a compactor and some other dumping machinery in and make the dream really come alive

Get yourself a soil sifter to separate the rocks from the soil .it would be less work if you had two piles , one of rocks, the other soil,then you wouldn't have to pick the rocks out as you build.

If you have a bucket with teeth use that to fetch the worst of the rocks out. Then go back and tidy up with the grading bucket. Will be quicker than using the world’s smallest rake.

Harry get a big bit of mesh and build a wooden box round it on the 45 angle the drop dirt on it and siv the rocks out. And pat in with a longer handled shovel it will save your back mate. Get an old plastic pound to catch water and a solar pump to put it into barrels.
