TOP MTB HACKS... UPGRADE YOUR BIKE! LETS RIDE RIDERS! RIDING IS THE BEST! THANKS FOR WATCHING MY CUTSOM MTB BUILD VIDEO HARRY MAIN - OWNA - OWNAOFFICIAL.COM
For a decade I've been watching you hack saw bar ends. Copper pipe cutters are so much faster and easier and cleaner cuts for bars. They even have a pipe reamer in the handle to clean the bers off. Killer content as always and remember to stay PEOPER AF
Nice work Harry, your Kenovo will be happier now, and you will be happier riding it. Bike maintenance and upgrading is a never ending process, all part of living the dream mate!
Watching this has made me want to fully grease and clean my bike up on my day off tomorrow - ready to get mucky again at the weekend. The circle of life!
Love this kind of video man! Might not be everyones bag, but I enjoy the nice chill vibes of this and getting into the nitty gritty of stuff. Keep up the great videos and also wanted to say I loved all the Fort Bill content, was very authentic and a great insight into what its actually like! 🤙
Just wanna say big fan and this video will help me out a lot in future as just bought myself an emtb cube stereo hybrid 160 action team also fort William is calling asking when your moving there such a sick downhill trail 🤙🏼
Great video. Got a bit worried when you started stripping it back to the motor and cleaning wires etc cos I had visions of it not working afterwards lol. A good grease to keep at hand is Mobil Xhp222. You can get it from places like opie oils and if you ever do a video stripping wheel hubs or packing bearings it's used for that. Gonna get myself some 50mm rise bars I think!
I run a 2020 stumpy alloy 27.5. It's the one with 150 travel. Wit 740 bars. 160 36s it's an absolute trail beast. Love the thing. Good to see you back on the mtb.
Tip: when you're taking off your bars instead of having to take the front plate of the stem all the way of if you instead just loosen all the bolts or take 1 or 2 bolts out and then twist the bars slightly, they should just slide out nicely without having to annoyingly take of the whole front stem plate. Then when putting it back on just slide the bars back through whilst twisting them so they wiggle in :) but doesn't matter if you don't do this it all works out anyway. 👍
@@harrymain Oh yeah didn't think about that i have 25/30mm rise (cant remember) but yeah I've never tried with 50mm rise so might not work but if you give it a try let me know.
Loving all this Kenevo content dude!!!I used a compressor to blow out all the crap from around the connectors under that motor cover. Also the speed sensor cable is stupidly delicate...ask me how I know this! Lol. Also, how did you get that savage scrape on your down tube?
Just bought first e-MTB few months ago, I also learned about how delicate the connectors are the hard way. Was taking off water bottle bolt, the hex driver bit came loose and just happened to slip down into the motor compartment. In the process of taking out the motor I snapped the speed sensor connector. Rookie mistake left the motor hanging from the wires without disconnecting them first Perhaps snapping a cable is part of the rights of passage to becoming an e-bike DIY mechanic. Hopefully someone else can learn from my challenges. At first I had visions of the hex bit getting caught up in the motor, after seeing the the motor is fully enclosed I could have just left the bit down there. Now that hex bit cost me $30 the price of cable
I ride those high rise bars on a freestyle enduro. I eneded up cutting down to 760mm. Felt way more tec/fun jumping. Dj's I went down to 690-700mm. 100% little bit off the bar feels very different..
I have the same bike and same issue as you, thanks for the little tip on the dropper. I will be doing that to mine. I changed the SRAM rotors to Hopes 220mm and put Galfer brake pads in and it’s made a hell of a difference in stopping power and now it doesn’t rub or make that squeak noise. Hope you knee is getting better and you manage to get on the rig soon 🤙⚡️⚡️
My dropper was well sticky I undid that collar used a little silicone oil and worked the dropper up and down and then greased it with rockshox judy butter and now it's smooth as
Old towels cut up make good cleaning rags, also warm soapy water will clean most things and it's cheaper than those expensive bike cleaning products and less harsh. I am guessing you didn't do metal work in school either 🤣🤣🤣
Please fix your front brake caliper as either you have the wrong adapter or it’s upside down. The way you have it mounted, the pads are barely touching the front disc. Check the comments in your previous mods video as it was mentioned there and still not correct.

I actually would prefer to use one I did think I had one of them!
When I looked tho it’s gone !!
I need to shorten the bars on one of my MTBs, will use the pipe cutter. That is as long as I can find it
Harry u gota protect the brake discs using that bike protect. It gets air Bourne so easy. Great video mate

It’s easiest to make sure you clean the pistons with brake cleaner. Put your old pads in and use a flat headed screw driver to push them back.
Kool bike hacks
I’m not e bike but fancy a stump jumper carbon not 100% too much to choose from. I do love a bike detail these days myself. Top job

@@harrymain Day 1 , Week 1 , rookie error Geez 😂😂😂.
Diggin the content mate .
Is there a way to fit up a modified fender to try and protect motor from dirt?
Good idea. !!

Yes lad

You need a noga to deburr the inside diameter harry
Harry, what dropper do you want? I'll see if I can hook you up with one at trade .
Small factory one bro
Take your seat off and there's a valve on the top of the dropper. Put your shock pump on it and put more air in and it will be much better
ahhh forgot about that shit!
I never knew that 😂😂 thats just blew my mind
