    am I the only one who noticed that jessie's English accent change depending on clothes
    like red one when she is fluent
    and blue when it's her second language

    • @profonde3460
      @profonde3460 Před rokem +54

      @AfriKarim, yep, noticed ages ago (not long after when she started doing multiple characters).
      Red Jessie is real Jessie (of course) as her English is now, Blue Jessie is perhaps like her English when he was learning (& likely when very young too),
      & hoody Jesse is maybe an accent you'd find in the hood -lol. (notice i changed spelling to Jesse, for hoody person).
      As the colour is always the same for each character, every video, it may be both for us, so we're familiar with each character; & also perhaps a way for Jessie to make it easy to not get confused which character's accent to do. At a guess, I'd think might have done the wrong characters accent, on occasion, when making these

      quite a lot of Chinese restaurants I know in the UK will have peking duck
      (sometimes it might just be called "crispy aromatic duck"
      - which is pretty much the term I used as a child because that's the only term I saw, and I thought ppl who don't know Chinese wouldn't know what 'peking duck' meant)
      occassionally, you might also see them in all-you-can-eat buffets w/ an Asian section, and maybe even Chinese Takeaways~

    Ive always found it interesting that the emphasis on sweet and salty is switched in chinese cuisine and American south cuisine. Like Zhou is sweet, but grits is salty. Bread is sweet, but biscuits are...not.
    Meat is sweet, and ours is buttery/salty.
    The only thing thats the same is our sugar cane juice. We both produce it the same way.

    • @606aichan7O7
      @606aichan7O7 Před rokem

      I've never rly thought about it, but I always regarded it as 'sweet AND savoury'
      also,
      like salt in fruits/baked goods,
      a little bit of sugar helps enhance the flavour (at least that's what I thought was happening)
      (I say that like I don't just dunk ducks in the sauce occasionally)
      off topic: it threw me off for a moment when you said biscuits aren't sweet, and then I was like "oh yh, American biscuits are different from British biscuits" 😅
