My steering is not locked but the car is dead when I turn the key and also key don't come out. Is that steering clock my problem too? If it is how do I send it to you. Thanks
I have taken the part off. How do I seen this to you to be fixed.
will i only need to remove the five screws below and the whole steering wheel will go down? and to put back it will be just to align the bolts?

Hi can you please help, my audi a4 2.7 auto 2009 has a similar issue, but with mine the switch position 1 the lights come on but there is no crank, the ECU can be read and there is no codes, I have a few faults, cleared it and its back again. Can you please suggest what it could be? If its the issue with steering column, key, or ecu. Thank you

Hi, I have a similar problem, steering wheel is locked and display shows "please take load off steering", but there is no error in VCDS on module 05 (I can communicate with it and a few others but not Engine, ABS, etc). Since I don't have an error I cannot even unlock the wheel by clearing it. Does the message mean the motor is physically damaged? Can the module be taken off the column if the steering wheel is still locked? Is the center screw on the back side that holds the lock accesible if it's still locked? Thanks
Yes modul can be still taken off. I can deactivate or fix the unit if sent to Czech Republic.
I’ve got a 09 a8 giving me 00288 I put the key in the ignition and nothing happens and locks the key. Could you your help if you still mess with these. Thanks!
I can fix it but for A8 need to send the unit to Czech Republic. It's different system compared to A6

Hi I replaced all the 3 switches and the relay. Still nothing happens when I turn the key. What should I do?

i have a question my husband did the repair and put it back it started and turned it off the car would not start and would not clear any code, then he put the new motor in at we got the codes to clear and it started and we turned it off and now it wont start again or clear any code i think the motor is blowing but why. I'm so lost.

Hello, I have Audi A6 keyless. Car has No ignition, No lights or no power to Windows. Mmi and glovebox only thing that works. I Can start the car bit it dies in 1 second, I think because of something failing. What do u think? It is the module under steering wheel?

hi, i have an audi a6 2006 3.0 tdi.. when i insert the key it makes 3 shots of noise under the steering wheel (trrak trrak trrak) and it says (turn the steering wheel to lighten the steering lock) i turn the steering wheel and the key but nothing happens the ignition doesn't even turn on you can only see the km and the date the lights and mmi turn on… I bought the box under the steering wheel used but for 2.7… when I plug it in it doesn't make any more noise 3 times it seems to fit though when I put the key it does not recognize it and the key remains blocked… what should I do please
You cant such simply swap the unit. It will never work. I can deactivate your old one but need to send it to Czech Republic physically.

Hello! I have a similar problem with my Audi A6 (2006), the car will not start, completely silent when I turn the key. But in my case as soon as I connect the battery several lamps on the dashboard are coming ON even before I turn the key. Do you think this is the same problem with the steering unit? The steering wheel is not locked, but is not completely free either. Thanks!

Hi, i have allmost the same problem i think....But when i put the key in the contact and turn it 1 time to the right my alarm goes off....Then my key is locked . I can remove my key with a thin pin. But when i try again it's stays the same. Thanks!
What about the dash lights? Do they light on?

@@christophegeldhof1733 if you do not see other control lights like engine symbol etc and you do not hear unlocking of your steering lock than its hiprobably the same issue and your steering lock unit is defective. I can fix it

What is the point if you did not show the removal, someone who don't know can damage it, i was able to take mone off without you tube, I used my imagination took my time got it off and replace it by another one I went and got from the junkyard
Hello Ralph. There are several points. For example people reach us asking where the unit is located. Or asking they removed the bottom bolts and units still hold on steering rack etc. If you change unit from junk yard it will not work as there is immobilizer inside. If you have tools to solve the immo this video is not for you. This is to help to common people to remove and send the unit to us. Novadass it's not even necesery as we developed android software for unit deactivation so they do need to remove the unit and send it :)
@@jrmauto2593 ok thank you, I went to the junk yard and pulled the part my self, installed it, and got a technician programmed it for $45 now vehicle is as good as new, I purchased an extra module at the junk yard in case it happens again, thanks
@@ralphwhitaker8761 yes if he has immo tool gan can adopt it. Problem is that junk yard card are too old and the unit can failed again soon. Compared to the deactivation which is solution forever :)
@@jrmauto2593 where I live you pull the part your self, each car has a yard date when arrived at the lot, the 2 cars that I pulled them from 2006 and 2008 one came in on 12/27/2022 and the other one 12/09/2022, what is too long, it's just like a car that was park for a few weeks, but anyway I know how to do it my self and know how to get the part other than some online company trying to rip me off charging almost $300 for repair, and one local audi had the part brand new for $339, it's all about doing the leg work in order not to be taking for a ride, but I'm good now so good luck with your work.
