I stack silver and gold to hedge against our debt-fueled, fiat currency-based economy that I am convinced is in severe trouble. Consider stacking silver and gold yourself to help you build and preserve wealth. And thank you for watching Campbell’s Coins!

You can never go wrong with a Maple Leaf since it's known and accepted worldwide whereas Buffalos and Eagles aren't especially the Eagles where Asian countries only accept 99.99% purity
This is true! Great points, thanks!
Not true. The gold dealer in Bangkok thailand immediately noticed the gold buffaloes i brought in and was very interested in buying all of them
“ get what you like” I like that statement, my friend! At the end of the day, you do need to enjoy your stack or collection. I started mine in pre33 simply I like them, I mean who wouldn’t like some old gold! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I started with pre33 too, quickly realized if I remained on that course I would be very broke haha. Thanks for stopping by!
I like to go with fractional bars. The higher quality pamps cost more but come with great security features and they are overall well know across the world and are easy to liquidate. I try to go for the biggest size when i can but sometimes i buy smaller ones.
When I started collecting silver and gold some years back, I was unsure of how to proceed. Despite hundreds of videos, books, and articles, plus seasoned collectors giving advice, I just simply netted it to a simple set of rules that quite frankly were reaffirmed in your video. Thanks!
1)Tread cautiously, but with a confident and well educated believe in what you're doing.
2) Concentrate on known entities (US Minted products) until you're well versed in the rest of the population of offerings.
3) Use time as a way to temper your decisions, not as a way to impose a deadline for completing a task/target (i.e., don't try to do it all at once, i.e., buying gold isn't like buy fast food).
4) Enjoy what you're doing or get out of the hobby!
I love it! I'm glad we agree and I like your set of rules too! Enjoy or get out haha, nice. Thanks for watching!
Very sound advice. I had to learn these lessons back in the late 80's, through the school of hard knocks, when I started my hoard of precious metals.
Lessons are the best teachers. Thanks for stopping by! 😎👊
Depends, in the UK, UK Gold coins, sovereigns and Britannias are free of all taxes. Gold bars are subject to capital gains tax when you sell. All other bullion deals are subject to VAT at 20%.
Great video. I know I learned a lot. Thanks man.
It’s a fascinating thought how investors pull through this in the investments space When stocks n coin at a time Inflate and deflate without notice, lol for me I would have had a cardiac arrest longtim!!!😂
urgh 🥴 I see comment mention’s on hw people grab multi-figures monthly as income in invstmts even in this crazy market’s always winds me down to ask the question like “How”, becoos it all seem like the same story frm a book. Any real ideas on how to make substantial progress in earning? would be appreciated
I have made quite a fortune trading Bitcoin recently, any wise person would definitely invest in bitcoin now
Money is an issue that everyone has for a better and luxurious life. Life was hard for me until I started trading bitcoin and am now earning $18,435 per week.
I've made huge profits on my investment since I started trading with Mrs Marià Candis, her trading strategies are top notch coupled with the little commission she charges on her trade....

Great information here brother keep em coming 👍🏼
Appreciate you stopping by CM!
I’ve had to go with NO TAXES. no tax buying, no tax’s holding, no tax’s.
Learning all we can, a true stacker sticks with sufficient quality with the cheapest price. Hard to beat that.
Individual needs and results will vary.
I like what you said about prudent stackers vs stackers of the heart. I like to think I’m a prudent stacker, but I also stack what I like. But I take a long-term approach to stacking what I like, so I go to my LCS’s every week and I’m always looking for new stuff at a great price.
🔥🦈🌊
Sounds like you're doing it right bro. Stack what makes you happy. Thanks Oceans!
That is good to know. I have not bought any gold yet, but i have bought a 250g Germanium silver bar and 10oz bar from AMPEX, thanks to your info and i could not be happier. I thank you for all the info you give!
I'm glad you like them! Thanks for stopping by! 🙏
You just described my stacking phases from when I first started. First bars, then AGE / Maples, and when premiums got insane the past year or so, I've been stacking pre 33, sovereigns & 20 francs. I love it all and won't say no if the price is right.
Hahaha, I love your mantra; "I love it all and won't say no if the price is right", True stacker of the heart.
Good idea with traveling with quarter age’s.
I like the idea they would draw less attention through x-ray machines, and appear to be normal pocket change.
Good video!
You so often mention the 25 ounce reporting, but I have thus far failed to imagine a scenario where I would want to sell 25 ounces of gold at once in a single shop. It just doesn't make sense to me as a concern, unless you are a high value individual who wants to more frequently buy and sell gold in large quantities to make a profit off of the daily price changes.
I mention everything that could possibly help. Just because it doesn't apply to you doesn't mean it doesn't apply to someone else. I frequently see older individuals "cashing" out their gold pieces for retirement. Coming in every few years to get some cash. Every gold dump I've seen has been over 25oz at a time. They aren't flipping gold to catch the daily price changes. Some like myself, sell for investments that come up, not frequently buying and dumping large quantities for a profit.
Enjoyed the video. I’m very comfortable at where I’m at with my 1 OZ buffaloes and AGE’s. Last 12 months I have began buying 1/10 & 1/4 gold eagles even though they are higher spot price. It’s great to have choices if & when the poop hits the fan. I mainly stack for the long haul. I gotta say I love the hue of the Buffalo
🙏 Thank you. Keep on stacking.
Good video. I stack AGE, AGB, and pre 33. Do what you like and know your exit strategy.
EXACTLY! Know your exit strategy, couldn't agree more.
Love the intro!! Immediate sub!! Keep it up!
😎👊 Thank you sir! Appreciate the love.
I’m 75% prudent and 25% heart. Lol. Huge fan of the AGE’s and AGB’s here too. Great video bro.
Haha I love that you break it down. Thank you man. You can only stack one gold coin going forward, what is it going to be?
@@CampbellsCoins That’s easy. If I could only stack one?
I’d have a really big F***ING herd of Buffalos.
@@PistolPackingPilot Lol, I'm trying to keep up with 2 is 1 too. I have a tiny herd but it will grow. Great choice btw 😎
Down to earth advice from a prudent stacker. I’ve leaned a lot from Mr Campbell..
🙏 Keep on stackin 🥃
Ya I agree stack the most popular for the country you reside in. As a Canadian I’m stacking eagles and maple leaves the most both gold and silver but I do tend to stack RCM bars again both gold and silver , sure you’re paying a premium but in years down the road it will be easy to sell as easy as it was to buy. Thanks for the vid
Thanks man! Appreciate you stopping by!
I have a pretty good mix of foreign and domestic Gold but I've been really thinking about focusing more on U.S. Gold going forward.
My problem is I like everything.

@@CampbellsCoins I appreciate you too my friend 👍
Loved this video. Your channel has been very helpful in my early stacking journey!
Im now on my early youtube journey! I want to throw a little challenge to some of my influencers to make this video (ill settle for a reply 😅): What do you wish you knew before starting this CZcams channel?
Thanks AS! Oh that sounds like a fun video. I'll mention you when I do that.
i started off (4 yrs ago) buying 1/10 gold AGE and other 1/10 coins.....I then added the British Sovereigns because of the price. I am now adding -when I can- 1/4 gold coins
Any 1oz sizes? It's good to have fractional
Brilliant video! Lovely stack of Precious Metals too! Like from me :)
Thank you so much 😀
Good advice. Most of my stack are Eagles and buffalos, but I also have a few Commemorates and Maples. When I lived in north Western Pa I could see Canada from my front yard. The LCSs there would give the same price for a maple as an eagle. When I moved to Southern AZ I found the LCSs don't care for the maples as much. Gold eagles and buffalos rule down here with a keener interest in libertads over maples.
That's an excellent point that's pretty difficult cover, different regions in the same country are going to have different interests. Which is wild to me. Libertads are great but there are so few produced, many don't see them haha. Those reverse proofs are just amazing. Thanks for stopping by!
Do you know if they sell the libertads online? I’ve been trying to get one but a lot are not reliable or even available
@@rooone6588 In your question, who is "they"? The Mexican government? If so, I'm not sure if they do. I know a few people in the states get a lead on the new releases and get them before everyone else. I used to see Libertads on Apmex fairly regularly but this is before their popularity boomed.
God I can't wait to stack again.
This channel is my go to place whenever I need to get my brain refocused from all the hype channels, I'll be respectful and not mention any names so I'm not accused of being a silver channel "slayer", lolol.
🙏🙏😂 I am honored. LOL. Thank you
Can I ask bout your George Washington print in the background, artist name or where I might find a print for myself?
if your sticking with buffalo's or GE coins in the US is it still reported if you "purchase" over a certain amount in a 24hr peiod?
Best to buy Maples, Buffaloes, liberty's. The buy price and the sell price will be similar. Buy a gold Bar for less but you get less when you sell. Former 3 will always be easier to sell
100%
Have you done a summary video of the tax and reporting stuff in the US?
Not yet. On the way.
Decided to bite the bullet and start stacking (I see the inflation writing on the wall). I'm not into coins/collecting, but want to hedge for inflation in prep for retirement in 20 years.
I've an extra 5k. Do u recommend coins or rounds, silver or gold?
Glad you see things just aren't alright. Coins for sure. If I were you and I didn't have gold, I would start with it. Silver is a must but gold should be picked up first.
I really just buy what i like. Not the best for a stacker but it's the best for me.
I'm glad you do whatever makes you happy! That's the way it should be.
Hi Tom from Australia, very good, buy local to your area
Hi Tom from Australia! EXACTLY! Thanks for watching!
Im from Germany and I really love American Eagles and Buffalos. But the US Coins have so much Premium on the goldprice in my country. So sad. So I have to buy other Coins like Maple or Krugers etc.
I hope one day a Private offer to the same price as Maple is coming. That possible but rare
Keep on stacking!
I only buy sovereigns, I don’t really like the design, I just like the low premium here in UK. They’re fractional but that makes them affordable for me because I’m broke 😂
Haha, I'm just happy you're stacking gold. Well done.
This is what I'm trying to decide. So many decisions. Do I stack silver more frequently or save for gold less often. ?
Depends on what your reason for stacking. If for investing, silver is stupid cheap right now, but premiums remain really high. If for SHTF, get gold. What do you have more of currently?
@@CampbellsCoins new stacker here. I switched over from stacking ammo. I am not entirely sure what my plan is. It just popped in my head I might need to buy some PM's. I just ordered 100 oz of silver and 2 of gold. I bought a little combo of these to see what I like. I'm not gonna lie gold eagles look so good as do maple leafs. Ive just been watching videos to see what others are doing
No...gave your bro your opinion could have bought RCM Bars much better value just as liquid ...grams are going to be the future in my option when 100$ a gram hits I want as many different pieces as I can get up to that kilo!!!
I’m curious why the tax reporting matters to you if you have to pay capital gains tax on sales of precious metals in general? Are you saying it would be better if you plan on not reporting capital gains?
I'm curious why you're so curious. Why are you pro more government bureaucracy and oversight? Capital gains is only paid if the amount sold exceeds your adjusted basis. It's nice to have something that doesn't add to the government workload. You should follow your state and federal laws.
All gold is awesome but there’s some you shouldn’t and should be buying. I have a mint sealed JM bar and a 99999 maple in an assay card. Those would be like silver maples to something like the Black Beard coin in the pirate series. You don’t wanna have a stack of fancy silver and gold coins to have as solely as the main stack. You want generic maples and eagles.
That's true, the commemoratives and speciality coins can be really popular or a lame duck and both can be difficult to sell.
You don't mention Krugerrands, which have been the most well known gold coins around the world since the late 60's. Even people who don't know about gold and silver, and never heard of a gold eagle or a maple leaf, have heard of Krugs. Featured in about every second 80's movie you care to mention... and an actual S.A. currency as well. They are a mainstay gold coin. I never had any trouble selling them either.
LOL "Holier than thou" Oh yeah...CZcams has enough of those guys.
I am a stacker of the heart to my own detriment for sure haha
HAHAHA yeah our wallets hate us. Any special go to pieces or just anything that catches your fancy?

Hi, Campbell. Reverse Proof Gold Libertad
I see you are a man of distinguished taste. 😎 Very nice if one can get them for a decent price. Incredibly high premiums
Perth Mint 1oz gold bullion is the best for stacking. Lowest premiums and easy to sell.
Anyone who buys coins (especially fractional) is getting suckered into paying unnecessary premiums and should consider himself / herself a coin collector.
I'm glad you like it
I like Perth too, along with AGE, AGB and Maple Leafs. Never had a problem trading them in.
👍👍👍
😎👊
I buy Sovereigns as they are plentiful, historic, beautiful and have great tax advantages for me. That said it will always be my 2nd love compared to Silver.
Indeed! Thanks!
I would buy one AGB because I like the design and the rest would be AGE. It is important to remember popularity when buy precious metals. I am stacking cash at the moment and waiting for spot prices and premiums to return to earth before investing again. Great advice! Thanks !! 👍
I was in your boat for a hot second. Still worried gold might drop to $1500. That is the lowest I'm hearing from folks. But I always harken back to 2008 and the price drop and how difficult it was to find gold at all for nine months. I remember your question at the beginning of the year asking about the gold price at the end of 2021. The next few months will be interesting. Thanks for stopping by my friend! 👊
@@CampbellsCoins Yes. I am planning to revisit that video next month. Thanks for remembering!!
@@Ontario100 Can't wait!
What coins should i stack if i live in singapore?
Look at Government Bullion if Singapore create Gold and Silver which I believe they do. Go for Coins commemorating your country. Those always hold value well. But Gold is Gold, not matter how it looks. It will always have value.
One ounce Buffs and Maples. Quarter ounce Eagles.
👏
I’m assembling a herd of Buffalos.
Very cool! I hope it's coming along nicely!
Looking to get my first ounce of gold, but im torn between the Maples and Buffalos…
Where do you live? If US, get Buff. If Canada, get Maple. I don't know what it is but I really like the gold Maples, less the Queen's face on the obverse. They just draw me in. You could always go for a Buffalo and a 1/4oz Maple.
@@CampbellsCoins yes i live in the US… not a fan of the eagle bc of the copper color it is… the buffalos are a great looking coin
@@longisland_stacker631 I know exactly how you feel. I was never a fan of eagles because of the reverse design and the copper tint. I like the type 2s but that copper tint still bugs me. You won't be disappointed with a Buffalo. If you can, pick it out in person. Some (not many) can have copper spots on them.
@@CampbellsCoins appreciate your feedback!
@@longisland_stacker631 No prob. Hit me up when you make your decision!
Wait, are you saying I have to report any gold I buy on my taxes??
😳
There is tax reporting when you sell, typically when there is a profit made. Talk with your CPA about it.
@@CampbellsCoins I'll be sure to do that.
Thanks for the heads up.
