      Hey! Ah glad you have had a good experience with them. I think tattoo conventions might be our best bet.

    As a brit living in the states I started my brand (kingdom clothing) probably 10 years ago and only recently launched my actual print shop (print kingdom) recently. Ive done some of the biggest festivals in the states and early on did everything and anything my budget would allow me to, festivals to this day are hit and miss and people don’t realize how much work actually goes into prepping for. Rule of thumb is breaking even is the goal and anything over is a plus. The key is to get as many eyes on the brand and duel up social engagement as much as possible because there a direct link to customers purchasing at a later date and or the next time you vend at a show people will remember you and be more likely to purchase. With that being said its so hard for indi brands if the brand doesn’t produce parody merch (im not a fan off) but they always sell the most when brands make merch for designated attendees. Thanks for the video/ informative conent you put out hope to speak to you in person one day. James from print kingdom.

    I've had a lot of luck at the big music festivals but it is a huge amount of work. Sometimes the smaller events can be amazing!

      @squeegeeandink  Před rokem

      Totally agree! I have lined up a handful of little events and only two big ones this year

    Did you ask the event organisers for your money back? Don’t know how they can charge so much when you get so little return. It’s good of you to share your experience as it’s a warning to others.

    • @squeegeeandink
      @squeegeeandink  Před rokem

      No, it was a weird situation and an event doesn't really guarantee sales for everyone. We learnt a lot and will be taking that into next year :)

    the price of the tent and cost of printing etc this is a net negative. you have to make bootleg shirts of the artist on it to really rake in big money

    • @squeegeeandink
      @squeegeeandink  Před 10 měsíci

      Hey, yeah bootleg sounds like a lot of waste on low quality garments. Its not really something I am interested in but I appreciate your viewpoint. At least with our stuff we still own the tent and shirts we didn't sell as assets that are useful or can be sold in future. Thank god we aren't a foodtruck.

    • @squeegeeandink
      @squeegeeandink  Před rokem +1

      Hey, it typically costs £5 all in for a shirt and we sell them either at £25 or two for £40. I haven't worked out the net profit for just this one event as I would need to offset the costs of the gazebo, camping gear and other things which I use at multiple events. The video does demo the turnover though which I hope is still useful?
