To use a new chain saw:1) read carefully the instruction manual!
To present a new chain saw: 1) read carefully twice the instruction manual. 2)read it again and again!

Always worth reading the instruction book before using for the first time. The battery book tells you to charge the battery before first use,

I usually do, but get excited to get started with a new tool. Just like a kid.

We have a similar saw at work n everyone try’s to pull the cord to start hahaha , honestly it great for early morning starts on small jobs n when we need to cut something small it’s pretty handy. N yes the bar oil everyone forgets.

I grabbed the de..lt 20v version about a year ago. I figured since I already had the battery system for their drills and whatnot, I would stick to that manufacturer. Also bought 2-5.0 amp batteries since It was time to replace one of my original 3.0 amp batteries. It’s not bad. The rpm’s are kinda of medium territory-so making sure it’s going full speed is crucial before starting a cut. The chain tends to bounce if it’s not seated against the pawls firmly since the speed isn’t totally off the charts, but it does the job. It’s also great for demo work, late night fire wood bucking, and not breathing emissions makes the day much more pleasant. I’m glad tree work is moving in this direction.

4 years later Christmas 2023 - is the trigger capable of variable speed or is it full on or off?
