- Working in a Skilled Nursing Facility, I always knew my chances of becoming infected with the COVID-19 virus was high. So, after a huge outbreak at my facility, and me testing positive, I decided I would talk about my day-to-day symptoms of COVID-19 and what I did to feel better.

Have you experienced any of these COVID symptoms, too? What was the virus like for you?
Hi I had every symptom as you Iâm on day 41 still have some congestion and I have my smell back but taste is not as strong it comes and go. Have your taste and smell returned?
@@chosenyolanda5422 Yes, for the most part. Still fighting with some congestion though. And still don't feel back to myself yet.
@@CrackingtheCodeforCaregivers Yes I completely understand I donât feel totally back to my normal self yet. And my taste comes and goes some things I can taste other things I canât.
@@chosenyolanda5422 How are you? I'm on day 5, hoping I feel better by Christmas (not seeing family anyway so no risk for them)
I woke up this past Tuesday with a horrendous headache. The headache eventually eased a bit so I went about my day. On Wednesday, I woke up aching all over and had a 101 degree fever. This was the first fever Ive had since I had the flu ten years ago so I knew something was really wrong. I was able to get into the Doctor that afternoon and tested positive for Covid19. (They came to the parking lot to test me) I cried when I got the results. I work in Pediatric Urgent Care but Ive been off on short term disability since spine surgery in Sept. I am very careful! I only leave the house to go to Physical Therapy, and Iâd been out to the dentist the week before as well. I even get my groceries delivered and Ive done my Christmas shopping all online. I found it very frustrating that before Sept, I was exposed to Covid almost daily at work but managed to avoid contracting the virus. Now that I havenât been exposed (or at least I didnât think so) I actually caught it, and over Christmas of all times! Day one, I had the awful headache, Day two, I felt pretty lousy with body aches , fever and shortness of breath. I was burning up one minute and freezing the next for the first three days. Day three, I had body aches and shortness of breath, but no fever. I also had some nausea and fatigue. Day four, more fatigue and severe upper/middle back pain and nausea. Today is Day five and if it werenât for the fatigue and back pain (it gets much better with Ibuprofen) I wouldnât feel all that bad. My husband has moved to the lower level of our house and my adult son is isolated in an upstairs bedroom. My ten days isolation will end the day after Christmas. Iâm just praying neither my husband or my son catches it and has to start their isolation clock all over again.
I had the same symptoms as you do for 22 days. It finally broke for me on this past Tuesday. Through the prayer of faith, my congestion, runny eyes and nose are gone. My chest no longer hurts and the fatigue is gone. God is good.
The power of prayer is amazing. â€ïžđ

A very calming and informative video miss. I've been passing time waiting for a COVID test result by seeing what others have gone thru when they had it. You have a very peaceful way of informing us with what happened and what concerns you had during these days. Thank you for the video, and I'm glad you went through the disease without any (or so it sounds like) horrific issues or complications. :)
Thank you so much for such a kind, thoughtful comment. I'm glad you found it helpful. I hope your test is negative - or that you recover very soon! Best wishes :)
This was truly very helpful. I hope this encourages others to do more vlogs to help people lookout for the symptoms.
Thank you! Glad it helped :) These symptoms that felt so much like something else but turned out to be COVID took me by surprise, too.
The best thing I have found for a sore throat and cines congestion is to gargle warm salt water with a few drops of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. When I expel the salt water, I try to inhale some salt spray into my lungs. For my cines congestion I sniff the warm salt water with a few drops of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide from my hand. I found that the salt spray in my lungs keeps my oxygen at a normal level. The few drops of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide in warm salt water that I sniffed from my hand, allowed breathing thru my nose at a normal leval.
So glad you are on the mend. Thanks for this video it really was extremely helpful
I'm so glad you found it helpful to you! Thank you for the comment. Stay well!
I've had almost the exact same symptoms as you, except, I'm on day 5, no fever or anything, gurgling in my tummy, except its not sickness, its hunger, I'm absolutely starving! I was fully vaxed & had the booster in October. In December I had an inner ear infection along with sore throat, running sinuses, no real cough, no wiped out feeling & no fever. I didn't feel well but tested negative for Covid. However in March I started to have post covid symptoms. Food tasted terrible & I had a strong terrible smell that hit me whenever I went anywhere. I couldn't really eat & lost about 20 lbs. In 3 months. I also had brain fog where I couldn't remember what I did the day before. I'm not on any drugs, don't smoke or drink. Still have the bad smell that I can't really describe but am forcing myself to eat & drink protein shakes. I've gained 4 lbs. back. Still have some brain fog in the short term thing. Hit & miss with food tasting good. Still testing negative for covid. I'm sure I had it in December. Have no loss of energy nor did I back then. Total medical mystery.
Omg I am dealing with the same exact symptoms.. the way you explain the loss of taste and how your brain can't keep up other than if food is salty, sweet, or spicy. I'm on the gurgling stomach day myself and tbh the only thing that is hard to deal with other than taste and smell loss is the fatigue with 2 children. Lord help me. Thank you for sharing.
I can't imagine having to take care of children during recovery. I hope you get better very soon. Thanks for commenting.

I would've never known that I had it until my job tested us, I had a mild back ache in the middle of my back that's all, I guess you can say I blessed.
Hope you feel better soon. I think all of us with only mild symptoms definitely have something to be thankful for.
Glad you're feeling better. Today is day 9 for me. I had very similar symptoms to yours. Mind started on a Thursday, tested on Saturday, positive results came back on Monday. On that Thursday, got pretty sore at work in chest area (but that could have been from working out day before)? Took some ibuprofen and felt better. Came home and did workout on my mini trampoline and about 9:00 just felt SO tired all of a sudden. Went to bed and woke up about 3:30 a.m. with nausea and feeling light head coldish. Stayed home "Just in case" (Thank God). I never had "The cough". Was never short of breath. Had very low grade fever maybe 3 times (Under 100). On Saturday for half a day I was smelling something horrible in our house and outside. My husband did not smell it, nor the neighbor. It was obviously a precursor for totally losing my smell and taste because that happened Saturday night. (Still 100% gone as of today). I had such low energy also. Starting on Wednesday (Day 6 into it), I got up every morning, got dressed, put some make up on and did some sort of low activity. Started by walking in place very slowly on my trampoline for a few minutes. Friday I was able to walk on it for 10 minutes and take 2 walks around the block without getting too tired. Yesterday i felt really good. Did 4 loads of laundry, vacuumed, mopped, did some organizing in garage, opened all windows in house to air out and then sat out by fire in evening. Today I feel a little tired but that's my fault from yesterday, lol. Tomorrow I will go back to work as i am symptom free and it will have been 10 days. I feel very, very fortunate to have had it this mild. It was scary and I think the worse part for me was the mental part and not knowing what to expect from day to day. I also did breathing exercises every day (Which I've been doing since before Covid was ever heard of). I took Vitamin C and D3 and drank lots of water, ginger ale, pear juice, fresh apple/pear smoothies. My stomach has also been "Bubbly" the whole time. My husband has not gotten it. He got tested Friday and today got negative results. We stayed well away from each other and used seperate bathrooms, bedrooms, etc...I hope to get my smell/taste back soon
I'm so glad to hear your symptoms stayed mild, like mine. After my 14 day isolation, I returned to work last Monday. It was a tough week. I felt tired, had headaches and noticed some mental fog and word finding trouble. I'm just ready to get to feeling like myself again! I started doing some very light workouts and as much as I want to start back on my routine, I know I'm not ready yet. Thanks for the post! Stay well, girl!

I tested positive today and have pretty much no symptoms right now. Im fully vaccinated. Have an occasional headache and I feel like my ears need to be popped at times. My other two coworkers have all symptoms and I tested "to be on the safe side". Shocked to get a positive on a rapid test. Trying not to freak out. It's been six days since I was around both infected parties. I'm scared. I don't want things to get bad all of a sudden. My appetite did change like a week ago but I do that from time to time. I don't want to worry because I don't want to start getting worse. You video is one of the best I've seen and I pray for u and every person commenting who is positive. Get well soon. Whe I was unvaccinated because there was no vaccine, I lost my smell. The really sucks. Thanks for sharing

I hope you feel better soon. I'm now on Day 14 and started antibiotics 2 days ago since my sinus congestion still wasn't gone. I'm just now finally starting to feel a bit more normal. Take care of yourself!

Because I never know when I will or will not feel good enough to leave the house, or for how long. My mother was lucky, she wasn't get anosmia, but I got that symptoms. My Father has a different story, He is not getting better. Me and my mother now is not having much time for recovery, we are really worried about him. Thanks so much for sharing your symptoms with us. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Hope you're feeling back to normal now, many blessings to you :)
I'm 34 years old. I am feeling like myself again. Thank you!
Day three now.
Monday, fatigue, added pains, loss of appetite, mild fever, mild headache, a little coughing and stuffiness.
Tuesday, weakness, loss of appetite, had Cocoa Wheats, restless - could not sleep, chills, added pain, dizzy and weak. A worm bath was soothing. . Took Nyquil Seviere to sleep.
Wednesday, some coughing and stuffiness. Ate normally. Seems like sciatica. Feeling better, but this headache is a pain. For me it's mostly pains. I plan to take a higher dose of Nyquil. My high BP was high, it seems the BP pills are not working. But the BP went down today. It seems the hardest part is comfort.
Three days, and it seems the worst if over. I was not vexed, but I had it last year. Symtims are a positive test, it's hard to get tested, long lines, and its costly. A pos test doesn't change the symtims, if you're sick, you're sick, deal with it, quarenteen. Mine is like a mild flu, I've had far worse in my 67 years.
My daughter, her mom in law, and her hubby were immunized, but they still got it, and have it worse than me and my wife. We probably got it from them Christmas.
Hope you recover soon. Thanks for commenting.
I heard that zinc is another good thing to take along with the D3, etc.
Right. The idea is to get all of these nutrients, consistently, before you get sick.

Great video, I am having the exact same symptoms. It made me feel so much better. How long for full recovery?
I would say it took me about 1 month to finally start feeling like myself again. I was definitely feeling better after 2 weeks, but I wasn't able to return to my normal routine with exercise and having energy to last me all day until about 1 month after being infected. I hope you get well soon!
Hi. Did you already take another swab test after you get recover? Is it PT-PCR test?
And after how many days did you already totally fully recovered?
I was positive for covid PT-PCR 5 days ago and i have some symptoms.
Per CDC guidelines, I'm not retesting for 3 months. I had the nasal swab test, not sure if that is the same as what you had. It took me 2 weeks to recover and return to work but about a month before I started feeling like myself again.
I had exactly the same symptoms.
I had 0 symptoms.
Hi. Question, after all what happened did you get tested again for you to come back to work ? and how many days did you stayed at home before you actually had the chance to go out in your room. thank you and God bless you more
Since the new CDC guidelines came out saying that you don't have to retest for COVID until 90 days after you test positive, I did not retest. I will have to start testing again in February. I stayed in isolation for a full 14 days and returned to work after 16 days.
Thank you for the info... stay safe

This shit is so gross, and it absolutely amazes me the amount of ignorance I still see in grocery stores with no masks, or worn improperly. Vitamin b12 and D, along with a horse pill size Lysine every morning, but I still donât feel good all the time.
It's infuriating when Americans have no respect for one another, isn't it. I've heard that allergy meds are a huge help with COVID symptoms. I used Flonase every morning and it also helped. And, yes, those Lysine pills are HUGE! lol. Keep hanging in there and hopefully you will start to feel like yourself more and more. A month out and I still have some pretty rough days myself.
I have some symptoms like fever, coughing and muscle sore âčïž. Besides I just started these symptoms about 2 days and did not take my covid test yet. Pretty worry that any problems if I get a fever early.
Try to get tested if possible and stay home and take care of yourself. Stay hydrated! Hope you get well soon.
I had a racing heart rate I also started to get congestion but it only lasted for 3 days. It started on November 12th with cold symptoms and then the aches and the pain that was the worst .At that point I truly thought that I would be paralyzed for life. Today is the 17th of December and I still struggle with extreme exhaustion. I suffer with an occasional cough but I never had a fever I'm 54 years old my son is younger 25 he had more like pneumonia symptoms. The brain fog is hard to deal with you really don't know what you're doing half the time. I did notice a very strange symptom right at the beginning a strange stinging in my nose. It was similar to the feeling that you get when you dive into a swimming pool and the chlorine gets in your nose.
The racing heart rate happened to me too, now that you mentioned it. It never lasted long, but I noticed that my heartrate was 80-90bmp when normally it stays around 65bpm at rest. And I agree, I hate the brain fog...it makes getting through a full work day way more difficult and then makes me feel so tired after I get home. Hope you continue to get better!
The strange symptom in nose is awful , itâs giving me neausea and I want throw up.Iâm in day 7 ,it went before but has now returned .My daughter feels the same ,says itâs it smells like like a house is having works done ,dusty etc. I am heaving if I move and my cough starts off ,giving me panic.Have backache and chills .
@@agulm6625 I know a lot of people that say they smell different things after recovering like smoke or vinegar.
I found out last Friday so it's day 3 for me I just had bad sore throat and running nose and coughing so bad and fever day 3 for me and I'm already feeling a little better no fever barely coughing now and I did purchase a pulse thing so can't wait to get really good my prayers goes out to you and everyone that struggling with the virus đ
Hope you have a quick recovery. Glad you can keep an eye on your O2 levels. Thanks for commenting!
Grate video helps me stay calm..I took vitamin D3 and Zinc even before I got sick and I only have body aches and weakness..My body does feels sick and tired but I think I'm going to be ok.....its scary when days past and you don't feel better..hope everyone wears a mask and stays safe..
The tiredness is definitely real and lasts quite a long time. I hope you continue to heal and get better really soon.
How are u now? I'm on day 5, the hardest is no close contact with my kids. đą
@@surlespasdondine When you have mild symptoms that are persistent but not severe, it is so hard to stay locked away from those you love. I stayed in isolation for 14 days and went back to work on Day 18. I hope you get better soon.
Just got tested today. Last night i felt crappy and today the body aches and fatigue are overwhelming. Hopefully it will be negative. Did you have the vaccine before you got it?
No, I was sick with COVID before the vaccine was available. But I did get vaccinated in Feb. This video shares my experience with the vaccine: czcams.com/video/xoy5KZDfkDc/video.html
is it true on day 14 you will feel better?my friend is on day 9 in the morning she feels ok but coughing alot but manageable but at night she's awake sometime for the bad cough she said cough syrup helps a lil bit better than nothing.when i talked to her she cough but i can feel she's fighting.
Unfortunately there is no miracle day that all symptoms will just disappear. I'm a month out now and still have lingering symptoms. Just trying to keep the symptoms managed was the best thing I knew to do. I hope she gets better soon.
I tested positive 1 weeks ago and currently in the hospital đđ
I'm so sorry to hear that. Wishing you well and hope you get better very soon. đ
Praying for you a speedy recovery! đđ
Sorry to hear that. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Sending prayers
Prayers for a speedy recovery
I tested positive for covid on 12/07/21 and my only symptoms were runny nose, severe congestion, loss of taste and smell and that was it. I am fully vaccinated so maybe thatâs why I didnât experience that many symptoms. Just felt like I had a cold. The loss of taste and smell was probably the worst symptom for me. I wasnât really tired or experienced any fatigue. Mainly just congested and no taste and smell.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad your symptoms were mild. Hope by now you're fully recovered and doing well! đ
I had symptoms on 12/18/21, tested positive on 12/20/21 and 12/23/21. My symptoms are fever, exhaustion, body aches, loss of taste, really bad cough, chills, sweating, loss of appetite. Iâm currently being treated for both pneumonia with antibiotics and bronchitis with steroids and inhaler because the cough is getting worse and thereâs some shortness of breath especially when I cough. Iâm fully vaccinated. Itâs so weird how people can be impacted so differently with Covid. Iâm hoping my symptoms resolve soon because I feel horrible.
WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR INFORMATION ABOUT THE O2 SAT ?!
School and in-field learning. Do you have a more specific question related to O2 stats?
Hello, I am on day 4 or 5. My symptoms, cough, stuffy nose/sinus pressure and body aches. For the past couple days, the before mentioned symptoms have
been subsiding, I am having discomfort/warmth or a redtnesd legs type of symptoms. Needless to say, I haven't slept more than an hr straight due to the discomfort. Any ideas of what to do? Ps I am euthyroud with Hashimotos. Thank you. Ps my oxygen levels are 95 at rest 97 to 99 when I am moving
Sounds like your O2 levels are staying in normal range- even improving with movement which is good. Research suggests you do what you can to treat your symptoms. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Thanks for commenting.
Apart from my losing taste and smell first your symptoms were same as mine! I had oximeter and stayed at 99. Apart from taste I made a full recovery in ten days.
I'm glad your doing well! Thanks for commenting :)
Great job I'm 43 just tested positive
Did u have shortness of breath
@@teefree8041 no, not at all.
@@teefree8041 you are still in the young category, don't get spooked just do all the stuff you are supposed to, rest hydration supplements, hope your recovery is swift!
I am in day 14 now since day12 I feel good. I never had fever or lost taste but lost my smell since yesterday I start smell little bit.
I thin for me day 4 -9 was worst. My husband got almost same symptoms but no coughing for him. My 3 kids age 12-12-10 they only have very mild symptoms for 2 days they were fine.
We got from one of my twins from school and every one get sick almost same day or next day.
It certainly spreads so easily. I'm sorry your whole family was infected but I hope for a quick recovery for all of you!
It helps that you had a partner with you it was hard doing this alone.
100% agree! He was my saving grace at times. I'm sorry if you had to go through COVID alone. I hope you are doing well.
I'm on pain medicine and my body aches are unbearable my pain medicine is not even taking it away. The chest pains are pretty unbearable as well today my stomach has been hurting and I gone to the bathroom several times. Lost my sense of smell and taste five six days ago. I'm currently on day 6 and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
Sending positive vibes for a quick recovery. The virus can be miserable. Thank you for commenting.
My husband and I were bedridden for three days with severe âflu likeâ symptoms. Weâre both in our 30âs and fairly healthy people đ€·đ»ââïž Itâs different for everybody!
Yes it definitely is!
Had the same. And the only thing that helped the severe body aches were paracetamol
Yes for me it only lasted 3 days but the aftermath was a bitch, my lungs got infected and that is what fucked me up. Now I am just trying to be able to sleep well but the little cough that it was left makes it impossible to sleep well.
Praying
Felt sick last Tuesday. Had headache fever up to 99.3 no more than that. Loss of smell started Thursday and tested myself this past Sunday with a home test. Came up positive. Gonna test again tomorrow. My symptoms as of now my nose is clearing ups no no fever. Smell is not there still.
Thanks for posting. Hope you recover quickly. That loss of taste and smell is no fun :\

@@CrackingtheCodeforCaregivers thank you. I live in a small apt with my family. So while I can't exactly Isolate. I am using a double mask 24/7. I also feel sooo much better today. Just a slight very slight cough.
only 2 of my co workers have had it in north dakota here. how are there so many at your hospital. I am at the main covid hospital for last months
I wish I had an answer for you. I can only think that employees brought in it unknowingly and it just passed from person to person. When you are dealing with such a vulnerable and at-risk population, it doesn't take much for one person to pass it on to the next. Remember, too, that hospitals are usually equipped with much better PPE and have better ventilation systems in place. It's a sad but true reality.
Same exact symptoms for me⊠except my Covid began with stomach gurgles and diarrhea for two days (cramping diarrhea) and sneezing.
Yuck :( Sorry to hear that. GI symptoms are actually more common than most people think. Hope you're well or recovering.
If i have it im on day 3 and already fee myself getting better
Day one:fatiuge and headache
Day 2: vertigo like dizziness and cough and runny nose
Today:woke up less dizzy loose cough and nose is slowly opening up
Hope your road to recovery continues and happens quickly. Thanks for watching.
Great detail video thank you . Im just getting over COVID pneumonia this virus is real I thought I was going to die. Pls people wear your mask, and wash your hands often. Whoever watching this video I pray you get well soonâ€ïž and stay safe out there
Thank you for commenting! I'm glad you're recovering. COVID pneumonia is quite difficult to recover from. Stay well.
My stomach feels hurt after last night meet with friend. His one of relative who test positive for coronavirus. I'm quite worried about it. Just feel vomiting there is no fever or cough. Should I have to go for test or wait for more symptoms?
If you're worried, I would get tested. I never had nausea or vomiting but I've known some that did. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Omg you are a life saver god send Angels In magnificent ways & also I Never knew to take vitamins during covid til last Monday & I had it 3 weeks ago it wasn't super bad but it was a sign to get focus on the right path but now I have those vitamins & I take them every day along with oregano I chew with a lil honey on it
Glad I could help! And the oregano chew with a little honey sounds good :)
I'm on another day 6, it all started with Dry mouth and throat. Now it's mostly heavy fatigue :/ I hope it goes away soon.
I hope you recover soon, too. That COVID fatigue is awful.
Very similar to my course with COVID..but day 20 or so and still no taste or smell.
The loss of taste and smell can linger for quite some time. I hope it returns soon! Stay well!
Iâm on day 5 of Covid and I am going absolutely insane. I am getting to the point where other then a lingering cough I have my energy back. Did another Covid test today and I was praying that it was negative but it was still positive. Itâs so discouraging cause Iâm ready to get back to life. I am so tired of being at home and Iâm ready and wanting to get back to being able to going out and not being so bored at home. Itâs honestly really starting to take its toll on me đđ

@@catdaddy6723 I did. Obviously. More than one actually. You think if you test positive you don't get instructions right away? Of courss you are told exactly until when to isolate. We get an official document that tells you after 2 days with no fever and 10 days quarantaine you can see people again. Your test stays positive for a long time aftee you are not contagious anymore.
