- Speed Week is Top Gear magazine's annual performance car of the year test. A gathering of the greatest fast cars from the last year, brought together in one place (this year it’s the Gotlandring track in Sweden, but it could be anywhere in the world) for a week of road and track testing, photography and video production and very little sleep. The goal is to separate the great from the merely good and, eventually, pick an overall winner.
This year, we have 15 contenders vying for the title, including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, Porsche 911 Dakar, Honda Civic Type R, Ariel Atom 4R, Alpine A110 R, Lotus Emira I4, BMW M2, BMW M3 Touring, Hyundai Ioniq 5N, Abarth 500e, Toyota GR86, McLaren Artura, Polestar 2 BST Edition 270, and even a Formula E car!

Interesting cars for sure. Ioniq 5 N has been on my radar to replace my Kia stinger. Plus I have twin of GR86, BRZ, so interesting to see those too. Big fan of type R, GT3 RS, lotus as well.
This would make a great DLC pack for Forza Motorsport
I would bet on either the Sterrato or the Dakar, because they are fun, a bit crazy and still true to their DNA.

One you see the radar sticking out of the M3 touring grill you can't unsee it, Golf's had this integrated into the badge back in 2017....

I have driven quite a few of these cars here, and... probably one of the toughest Speed Week to decide a winner. Almost 2/3 of the field is properly amazing machinery, i wouldn't be able to make the same top 3 every day.

Front isnt as hideous as the 3/4 series BMW but definitely does not look as aggressive, sporty or great in general imo compared to practically the last few generations. I've always loved BMW M's design and styling since I've been a kid but this current generation of BMWs are a big step backwards.

Might sound crazy, but one of my favorites from this group is the GR 86. It's the purest car here.
Drifting isn't eco-friendly and does nothing to evaluate the real world performance of a car.

haha literally scrolled through the comments to see if anyone noticed it too. Yes, as pointed out it looks to be condensor. In the other shots the pool is gone so it's evaporated pretty quickly
