I stopped doubting Capcom years ago.
Them keeping the Attache Case system is one of the many examples of them understanding exactly what the players want to keep in the game.
They took all the backlash about cutting so much from RE3R to heart, possibly.
@@gaminggoddess85 RE2 remake and RE4 remake are completely the Japanese team. RE3 remake on the otherhand had some help from American employees and I think that may have to do with part of its failure.

@gizmo re3 remake was such a let down. For its own game it was fun, but cutting as much content as they did and making nemesis have select areas to chase you was so disappointing. I hope they do another remake with all the material from the original re3 nemesis. One day hoping🙏

First ganado was made out to be the way they appeared in the classic RE4 end credits depicting the first plaga appearance- popping out of the neck pretty cool tbh
Nice catch, I didn't connect it with the concept art but it does indeed look like that. We cut away from that enemy in the trailer, they might introduce the plagas with him. Could be more than a one off nod to that Easter egg too, it could be major part of the design in fighting plagas ganados in the game.

first ganado also does way more damage compared to the ones a little bit later without the plaga coming out

I love how they made the cabin in the beginning into an actual RE creepy house. This game looks like a completely different RE4.
Hope some elements from 3.5 make it in. Probably an unpopular opinion but the Las plagas infection causing hallucinations like the fog monster and hookman would fit, but I'd understand why they wouldn't do it. Certainly would be a shock

I had low expectations because I didn't want to get my hopes up and be let down, so I was NOT expecting it to look this good. The best thing that could happen with a remake is keeping it fresh while still maintaining the soul of the original. I'm excited!
Garrador fights are about to become a lot more interesting and intense. Also can’t wait to see what the regenerators will look like and new mechanics they might have added for them.

i can immediately see the spirit of the original addictive action gameplay, with a new horror, the pacing looks so good so far, just like the original but with the gameplay controls of the recent remakes but better ! amazing can’t wait !
I was worried after the 3make and the rumors but it seems like this could potentially be the greatest remake in the franchise if they nail this right, keep what works, build upon it, don't cut content or if you do add something new and then add a little extra for a twist on the original. The RE1 remake formula basically.

@@jonathanvallee8779 more than welcome mate. I absolutely loved re4 on gc and ps2. I always check under the shelves in Games top aand found the steel book Re4 for like 15€. I would do runs like where I'd change up what guns I got... Id sink everything into the Red9 or use the Tmp to stun and kick etc. And I sunk many hours into dead space. I'd do a run using only the plasma cutter or mix up what weapons I upgraded etc. I never played a game as tense and engaging as it. I got that and would play in the dark with headphones.
One time I was creeping through a section where I knew I was going to get ambushed and one of my cats jumped on my lap. I'd like to say I let out a manly roar, like you'd hear in an 80s action movie when the hero charges at the baddies with a machine gun, but it was a high pitched scream! The cat and controller flew out of my lap and my heart was BANGING! 😂
I really hope that Re4 and DS live up to the hype. I have a feeling that they will. Can't wait!

I’m actually feeling pretty optimistic about this now. I’m sure it won’t be 100% perfect but it looks like this will turn out to be something grateful for.
These are the types of changes that will seem rough in a trailer, but when we get to finally play the game I find it hard to believe people will dislike them in the end. They've done an incredible job.

It seems like they learned their lesson with RE3 Remake. This Remake looks very good, faithful to the original buy refreshing at the same time. Can't wait to play it
That's probably why they didn't let the team that worked on the RE3 remake work on this one. Capcom's in-house team, the same team that developed the 2 remake, are working on 4. Additionally, the producer for this game was the lead designer for the original.
@@blueflare3848 Good to know! RE4 looks amazing. I wish they had taken the time to make RE3 Remake, but now it's too late. The two worst mistakes were giving the project to another studio and developing it alongside RE2.
@@RoshGG Yes, exactly. I think the reason they did that was so the remakes could be released around the same time. Unfortunately it seems they pushed for quantity over quality. It's a shame. The RE3 remake had such great potential, but it just doesn't feel like the same amount of effort and dedication went into making it when compared to the 2 remake (and the 4 remake, based on what we've seen so far).

RE4 was my first RE game back when i was 10 years old. Now im 27 and feel like a child with this remake.
Leon's round house kick is back baby. They have somehow managed to keep the action and make it more scary. Leon can parry, can crouch - can upgrade his knife , block attacks 🔪 and ko enemy's that's awesome. Bill me for the repairs later - one liners are back. Enemies can attack in more ways and rush, sounds cool. There is actually stealth or crouch mechanics, awesome. Hannigan , Mendez, Luis , Salazar, Ada, Saddler and ( i guess Wesker + Krauser will also be show up next year ) and merchant everyone's here. Pacing of the game looks so much like the original RE4, love it ❤️

The thing that I'm most impressed by is how much they've tweaked the balance between genuine horror/suspense and the action/campy elements. I feel like from what we've seen so far it's actually a far more exciting balance than even the original. Looks steeped in foreboding atmosphere with a large infusion of more modern action sequences and mechanics while also keeping some of the goofiness of the original. I do hope that we get to see a bit more of that cheesiness throughout the game but I'm loving it so far and it's exceeded my expectations tremendously.

The Verdugos are huge I can not wait to see them in action, seeing 1 sprinting at us is going to be legit horrifying.
I like that they include a basement in the first house. Looks like Leon Killer the first ganado by breaking his neck just to find out he is still alive when he Search for the Police officer who is thrown in the lake to feed de Lago later.

enough seems genuinely faithful to the OG that I welcome the changes. I've played RE4 for almost 20 years now, something familiar yet different sounds good to me. if the gameplay is anything to go off of alone this looks incredible.

The parry mechanic probably means it takes over the qte dodges. This means verdugo will probably be way better along with krauser since you will actually need to parry at the right time.

@@BornTwizted87 The issue there is that at the moment, yes, it may hold it back, but I'm sure if you were one of the people who didn't have a pc, ps5 or Xbox Series S, you'd feel the same way about last gen still getting support. It wouldn't be fair to have the consoles barely avaiable and then suddenly completely stopping Last Gen support, that's how you lose your customers fast. Everytime I wanted to get a Ps5, it wasn't avaiable anywhere I looked. And with RE4 being most likely my favourite game of all time, you can't stop me from being happy that I will get to play this.

I think it would be nice like having 2 possible endings, one where we escape with ashley and one where we fail the mission and escape alone, but ofc it’s just an idea idk if they will do something different or keep it like the original. But it would be refreshing a change in ending, just my opinion, the rest is amazing i really like what i saw
Something I noticed is that the screenshots on Steam show the original first enemy encounter, and if you notice, the first enemy in this trailer is also that same enemy.
It seems that the house scene takes place after the first encounter after you "kill" the first enemy. Notice this guy has a neck wound and head tilted sideways, perhaps leon used the enemys axe to kill him. That's why Leon says "No fucking way" as hes surprised the enemy survived the initial encounter.
I think this scene has just been expanded upon and is not a total new beginning to the game.
