I remember that when I was 15, me and my best buddy played this game all the time. The best thing that I could remember was an Hardcore Match with me as RVD, my buddy as Ultimo Dragon vs The Dudley Boyz at the highest difficulty. You know, there's an unlockable area where you can grab an helicopter and jump from the top on your enemies. So, this was the plan: my buddy literally KILLED the Dudley Boyz (they had the whole body HUD red), I grabbed the helicopter and calculated just perfectly the distance of the jump. In this game it's possible to do a Finisher that was supposed to be done on the turnbuckle right on the helicopter's ladder. If you are lucky enough, the helicopter will glitch and you can do the Finisher from up there. The result? A Five-Star Frog Splash all the way from Hell on Bubba Ray Dudley. There was no way that he could kick out from a move like that. Those are memories....xD

Lee Pavano Yeah so they added fire, more messed up weapons/weapon uses, more dangerous finishers, more violent cut-scenes, more levels of bloodshed and OMG moves that look more realistic and about as violent as a lot of the stuff you get in the old games... they did a great job making it less violent eh? :L Ah well, can always go back and enjoy the oldschool games lol

The absolute best. Fact.
The grapple system in this game needs to come back. It was so simple and satisfying. Wrestlers were given moves that made sense. They would actually perform them on tv. It never got boring changing up grapple combinations... Not like WWE '12, '13, and 2k14 where all the wrestlers are given the same moves, like that same back suplex and ground elbow drop.
Yeah , some wrestlers don't deserve some of the moves I seen. (For Example, Randy Orton doing that overhead DDT)
they need to bring back the music for the fights! its boring when its quiet with only the commentators talking ... and they need to put back the unrealistic hitting and slamming sound effects

I might be mistaken but I think the was GRIMIK's entire point. They're trying to make the games feel like a realistic episode of RAW or SmackDown. With the older games, you didn't have to be a fan of the WWE to enjoy the games.

Free roam is one thing. But we need GM mode back.
Universe mode is basically GM mode without worrying about expenses and ratings.
***** The whole point of GM mode was to worry about expenses, ratings and wrestlers' overness. That's what made it interesting in my opinion.

Here comes the Pain,SvR2005 and SvR2007 were awesome.
I only bought one ps3 era wwe game(wwe13), it was so-so and never bought a wwe game again. I guess i'm the only one that really loved the ultimate graple moves.

I remember one time my dad came from work and just handed me this game and said go ahead play it you'll love it. So I didn't play it until a month later. Man I fucking loved this game so much. I regret not playing it as soon as I got it.
Even if WWE has to keep the violence down because it's a PG show now, they need more awesome interactions and more places to go like the city. 2K games focus on being realistic more than fun.

I miss having music playing while I'm trying to beat someone senseless. All the games in the classic SmackDown series had it and, if I remember, it was the first SvR that had a licensed soundtrack! And it felt pretty awesome getting the 3-count while Breaking Benjamen's "Firefly" blasted in the background!
I miss that. :< I know it doesn't happen in the WWE irl, but I want to rock out while I'm laying the SmackDown in WWE2K14 just like I did in SvR and all the older SmackDown games!
