Two player mode is the hardest mode to unlock, you need to have a friend who actually wants to submit themselves to this.
The hardest part is having a friend. You can't turn down the difficulty setting.

well, technicolor was already in use in the 30's/40's especially when it comes to cartoon, so they wouldn't have a reason to force black and white on you, both history-wise or lore-wise

I've only met one person who didn't like this game and it was a 7 year old kid because it's rated E. You know this game is so hard it should be rated T just because of the kids breaking controllers. Anyway I'm doing an all A- or above run because I want it to be even harder. Idk I haven't completed the game and I've gotten my money's worth.

😂☝ This guy, lol. Everyone is always comparing a difficult game to Dark Souls even though the game they are comparing to Dark Souls isn't even remotely similar to it. Not to mention that the Souls series isn't even that difficult, it just requires patience and memorization to succeed. A game like Cuphead requires more muscle memory and good reflexes.

There is a tent on the west side of the second island that reads ride closed, behind it is the 4th member of the quartet of you talk to him he goes back to his group and sings you a song

In the 3rd Island there are 2 characters clearly enemisted, one's a gramaphone and the other is a radio. If you talk to one, and then the other several times, you can switch the background music dependen on who you spoke to last. If you spoke to the Gramaphone, the music will be "piano only" in a minimalist fashion, and if you spoke to the radio the regular soundtrack. I'm not sure of the full extent of this, but it applies to islands 1 and 2. Didn't try going in to the casino yet, but I'm guessing it works there too.

You should update this since some things have been patched and have added Expert Mode!
I don't know if you found it already, but you can change all the soundtrack so it would sounds like it was played on a piano by talking to the patephon guy in the third isle (and change it back by talking to the radio guy left to the theatre boss)
Dude what do you do when the acorn maker appears you have to shoot to get rid of it, I tried dashing threw and it didn't work is it impossible. EVEN with super art II

Actually, the correct way to get the 2-Strip filter is to gather at least 15 A-'s or higher total from Bosses and Run 'n' Gun levels. It isn't necessarily gather a decent average of high grades.
I've also 200% the game and can confirm that there are no more unlockables outside of this other than if you interact with Ludwig and Wolfgang back and forth, you can change the instrumental from a full band to a simple piano playing and like in the very early silent movies and vise versa.
What's with all the dark souls stuff ha. This game is way more like a megamen platformer

I found that if u stayed at the devil's throne room, there's something UN-USUAL, there's a INVISIBLE Boss to defeat if u don't want to defeat the soul of him (cause he's hard for some beginners) stay right next to the hole, don't get to the fire, shoot him above several times, them I guess the game ends...idk

One day i was fighting chef saltbaker on expert and with perfect timing during the transition to the second phase after parrying i unlocked a pink cuphead
I don't know if it's been said already but you can change the music to a two note track if you speak to the guy out front of the junkyard and to turn it back to normal just speak to the radio just outside the theatre
If you turn off the game and leave for a few hours, you will unlock an even older style

in the dlc theres a cactus lady that hints each boss in her "stories" and you need to beat each boss in order from isle 1 to the dlc isle and she will reward you with golden chalice filter, its just yellower chalice

+Energy Blast They announced plans to port it to Mac, so it's still not going to be Microsoft exclusive. +Iggys81 They've actually softened their stance on it in recent days given the demand they've seen. There are a few posts by the dev and spokespeople basically saying "I actually don't want to rule out PS4 but we're DEFINITELY tackling Mac first."
Even has an Xbox fan, there are way more solid game choices to laud as forever exclusive. Devs own the IP to it still, so they can do what they want down the line.

In this game, I got them all p, and didn’t parry pink enemies except the balloons in funfair fever. Because they don’t die.
thers another secret mode its maybe on pc but i found it in the switch go to inewell isle 3 and talk to the music instruments back and forth you will get a free diffrent audio version of cuphead

2-Strip mode is actually randomized for how many A ranks, P ranks, and S ranks you need.
You can do the balck and white thingy on switch by just going on the switches settings

there's an expert mode after you complete the game on normal mode
completing expert mode gives you a s rank
idk if any filter is given or anything
completing a boss in expert without taking damage, getting 3 parrys, using a card 6 times, and doing it quickly* gives you s rank on that boss
