When we’re trying to make up for our sins, what we’re really saying is, “Jesus didn’t finish everything on the cross. I’ve got to pay for this one.” No, recognize the price has already been paid. All your sins past, present, and future have been taken care of. When we’re living guilty, begging God to forgive us, telling him how unworthy we are, we’re saying, "Let me get up on the cross. Let me pay for this." The truth is your blood wouldn’t do any good. It was the spotless sinless blood of the Lamb that paid the price in full.

You don’t give to get, or because you have to…God loves a cheerful giver! Who is your source!? None of this stuff down here matters, Jesus owns everything, God owns the cattle on a thousand hills. We just do what Jesus would, and get His blessings where they belong!
Yes, we need to be obedient. The Bible teaches 3 tithes, 10%, 10%, and 10% every 3 years which add up to 23.3%. Not just 1.

3:40 - Yes, you make a very important point about the PLURAL and not singular. In that very passage you notice, Malachi 3:10 - titheS, not tithe.
Not one scripture in the Bible says to give 10% of your income. Not one. People should give as God leads. The Mosaic Law of tithing was food only, so only farmers/herders were required to tithe. Abraham gave a tenth from the SPOILS of war (not the riches he left out of Egypt with), and Jacob said he would give God a tenth, IF God did something for him first. If you all are receiving so much from heaven that you don't have room to receive, then why do you need to keep squandering from God's people?.. I'll answer that!.. Because you can't twist the context of God's Word and receive from it. That is a form of manipulation and manipulation is rooted in witchcraft. That's why God's people are constantly giving and not receiving- GET INTO THE WORD FOR YOURSELVES PEOPLE!!!

I think the message is not about tithing itself. It is about cheerfully giving when God asks you to. It is also about trusting God's providence. I personally don't tithe, but I allocate the 10% for giving altogether each month. Be careful of pastors who abuse that verse. Give your money to people who really need it
