I'm 23 and my Dad used to play this for me when I was young.
One of my friends is really struggling with drugs and this week we finally got him into a rehab facility,
The only guy who is there for the guy outside of his family sat down and listened to the 40th aniverssary on vinyl with me after visiting our boy at the treatment center.
The most important and easiest thing we can do in this life is to have compassion and love others without judgement.
Best of luck to you and your friend. I'm 34. I lost two family members to addiction and have another family member who still struggles with alcohol. Addiction is a nasty beast and a lifelong challenge. Keep showing up for him. Connection and compassion does wonders. Someone said "connection is the opposite of addiction" and I think that's very true. Thanks for being a good friend.

Another song I used to hear on rotation on Scrambled Super TV in my native DMV Metropolitan in the 80's. There was 1 more from Todd played there only I can't recall the name of such. I so wanna hear that 1 again too.

I met Mark Farner once and had a good long talk about many things, and I asked about Todd, and immediately he says "I Think that Todd is a Christian Waiting to Happen" !!! WoW Awesome!!! You can't get much more in the following of Jesus example than this Song, or 'Love is the Answer" or "Healing" ,or "Change Myself", plus more I'm forgetting about here.. Heck I think "Sometimes I Don't Know What to Feel" is a very Christ.like song...To me he was just too good and never a sell out to be a household name..Kind would of ruined the little Secret Society of people that have been Todd Heads for years and years. And a blessing to the ones just discovering him!!!

It's on the little TV playing, as he is talking. It's on the TEPTAE video! Just one of many obvious and subliminal clues, he has in his song lyrics...If you don't get it, you were never supposed too!!! All part of the plan... Just because you don't believe, doesn't mean it's not TRUE!!!!!!!

Even though the lyrics might not be too much in sync with the plot, I can easily picture this being played in a scene from the 1994 classic Dumb & Dumber, since Rundgren was the film's composer. It just fits the atmosphere of the flick so much!

Atheism is just a lack of belief in the existence of gods due to the lack of falsifiable evidence to support such beliefs. What is "conflicting" about that? It's actually quite straightforward to me.

It's the other way around--Daryl Hall was influenced by Todd Rundgren. Members of Todd's band, Utopia, performed on the album. Todd's vocal talents, and ability to play every instrument on his albums, (he has perfect pitch), was evident long before the War Babies album.
I just meant his voice in Healing here
When Todd did his pre War Babies early work he sounded far more like Laura Nyro in style, one of his own
formative influences of which there were many, everyone has impact on each other, its ALL the ways around, not just one way
