  • After posting my April spread I’ve had quite a lot of requests for a tutorial on how to create spreads with dutch doors, so I’m making a step by step, real time tutorial series to help you re-create them in your own bullet journals.
    Part 2 - • Bullet Journal Dutch D...
    Hope you enjoy!

    This is the most fascinating bullet journal tutorial I've seen in a long time. So clever and so different from everything else I've seen.

    I have really enjoyed your channel. I will be so sad once I've binged watched them all! I am not artistic, but so so want to be. Your spreads are just beautiful! This series in particular has inspired me to start a CZcams channel and revive my blog using the journal I use. I find the measurements to be so helpful to those using the same size journal, especially for those who feel it is too time consuming. What a huge time saver for them! Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more videos!

    Possibly the best looking weekly Dutch door spread I’ve seen! Please don’t take this the wrong way but I love your natural unpolished video style, so refreshing seeing someone being real. Awesome BuJo skills, going to definitely try this, thanks so much :)

    This is wonderful, I've done dutch door dailies for about a year but stopped for April as I was getting a bit over it although I did love them. I had no idea they could be this versatile, I'd not seen many styles except either vertical or horizontal and that's about all anyone did with them! You've done an amazing job, all the spreads are fab and I'm inspired to create something new for next month.

    This is absolutely fabulous! After I figured out you were counting squares and not the dots, I finally got on track! Cutting my journal was a bit scary, but I did it. I completed the 2 dutch door layouts that you did in your video. I can't believe I could do it. I cannot wait for the next tutorial so I can finish out the month of May! Thanks so much for the inspiration. Your directions were perfect! The next week is the one I'm really interested in! can't wait. Thank you for sharing your talents!

  • @lauramailhot1416
    @lauramailhot1416 Před 2 lety

    I also use my pieces that I cut off to cover mistakes if I make them you can line it up and line the dots up so you can easily cover mistake and just glue it over your mistake it is so convenient I use that for my scraps or if I do mess up the whole page I bought the archer and olive.mil books and black craft paper and white paper and I can use the white paper to cover mistakes and I use the black paper and the craft paper to help decorate my spreads it’s really fun and I love it the only thing is they’re like $27 apiece so what I recommend is getting the Notebook that they sell that has all three and it’s like 40 bucks cause you’re not gonna go through all of them that fast anyways so you get all three and you save alittle

    This is a great video. I love Dutch doors. I’m know you wanted to give us the dimensions of each section (number of boxes) however if you wanted to repeat this you place a sticky note along the earlier pages stuck out so you can see it, and then you know where to draw your lines. :) I like listening to your thinking.

    This is really, really cool! The only thing I don't like is how much of the pagespace you lose by creating so many dutch doors. But I'm definitely going to see which of these I can integrate without losing too many pages. I use about 50 - 75 pages per month, as I'm sick at home atm, and I want to keep using this journal for as long as possible

    Interesting ideas. Instead of measuring and counting every month, why don’t you make up a template in a sturdy paper where you will cut off all the boxes, so you only have to put your template on top of your blank pages and trace inside of the different boxes, I think it will take less time. Thank you for this demonstration.

  • @suea5280

      @johndoyle4851 Před 5 lety

    This is a great idea for my fitness tracking. I can put workouts, food tracker, sleep tracker, etc all in one area instead of daily having to flip through a bunch of pages.
    Do you have any issues with the journal spine weakening because you cut the pages so close to the inside edge? Wondering if the cutouts make it hard to write on the full pages since you have that little dip where the pages underneath are removed. I’ll play around with these templates on my cheap $5 journal from Michael’s. I love your style though. Pretty yet simple. Not too busy.

    • @missmckennaslifeleverage6028
      @missmckennaslifeleverage6028  Před 6 lety +1

      I've found the spine is fine as long as you don't cut too close to the threads, if you vary the type of spreads it's not too much of a problem with the dip as the pages land in different places, but if it becomes a problem, you could you an a5 ish size piece of card to put underneath the page you're writing on so that it's a solid flat surface to write on x

  • @kaylenedawnbuteaufitnessbu2282

    I've been obsessively trying to figure out my 2021 journal. I was thinking it would be genius to figure out how to set up dutch doors, so the days of the week are written only once for the daily trackers you choose and then weekly trackers as well and it all falls into your month, but I haven't figured it out yet. Tag me if you figure it out or anyone else does. I don't make videos, so anyone who figures it out, let me know. I've been watching a lot of dutch door videos and nobody has done that so far, that I've seen.

    I like this idea so much but I'm also a little afraid: isn't it difficult, to write and draw on the further pages, wenn there are so many cutted and folded pages before? That's the point, why I'm not so brave to try it out...
