- Last week, Evelyn, Remy and I went to Caranzalem in Panjim for an appointment at the ASG Eye Hospital. So we decided to have lunch at Seaview restaurant, a homely Goan eatery that one of our viewers told us about quite some time ago
Seaview Bar & Restaurant
Caranzalem Ivao, P.O. Dona Paula, Goa
Tel: 9822188472
Seaview restaurant is in Dona Paula, just at the end of Caranzalem. From Miramar circle, it’s a straight road toward the National Institute of Watersports in Dona Paula. Just before reaching Dona Paul circle, through the archway on the right is Seaview
Seaview restaurant is on the ground floor, with tables in the living room and also in the verandah. Since it’s the monsoon and the weather is pleasant, we sat outside in the verandah
Seaview serves very typical Goan non veg fare. For lunch we had pork amsol, prawns rawa fry and chicken xacuti with rice. Very reasonable prices. Whatever they served was tasty. Everything was nice. Quite home tasting
Seaview seems a nice chill place where friends hang out over drinks and good food. There is a very laidback Goan feel to the place. Seaview restaurant is a family-run eatery which has been running in Caranzalem for the past 40 years. It was started by owner Diego Rodrigues’ father, who passed away last year at the age of 91. Diego and his wife Bevinda Tavares run Seaview and take pride in serving purely Goan food in an area where many nearby eateries cater non-Goan food for tourists. Diego says, Goan food should be highlighted, which is exactly what we do on our channel. That’s why we’re here
The decor here is just like a Goan living room. You don’t feel as if you are in a restaurant
Maybe it is better to eat inside during the rains because we were really troubled by flies while eating. One fly went in my urac also
That was a nice susegad Panjim afternoon

Hello Leslie . I would recommend you try the snacks and cutlet bread at Texiera Ribandar . It's mostly open from 5pm, and everything is mostly over by 8pm . Try it out if possible . Sundays closed .

Hi Leslie . A slight correction. They open at 6 pm and by 8 pm the food is usually over. The must try items are pork chops , beef cutlet bread, and chicken cafreal

Hi Leslie, Maria and team. We've recently started watching yr videos and truly enjoy every bit of it. Superb job 👍
The prawns looked amazing 😊
Hello Lesley, Evelyn and our Remy darling... 😊
Hi Eugenia 😃
Hi Lesley, food looked ok. I saw so many flies🤣. Indoor is better maybe to sit. Missed Maria.
Yes, indoors is better in the rainy season
Nice and homely looking place Lesley!! The decor reminds me of our typical Khasi (I'm Khasi by the way with European blood thrown in), Catholic homes. An altar and lots of family pictures.
I too thought that the Amsol was Vindalho at first glance. Anyway, it looked good and apparently tasted good too. Personally speaking, that's all that matters.
BTW, did the fly in your urak get drunk? It reminded me of my late father (God bless his soul) when we had continuous days of heavy rain during my childhood. Out of sheer boredom, he would place a drop of whisky on an ant and then follow it, watching through a magnifying glass to see what happened. I caught him giggling away to himself at the results and demanded to know what happened. Well, to cut a long story short, that's how I came to know about the incident. And about ants on a high.
Regards to all...
Wow! I would love to hear more about your father. Looking forward to catching up in Goa. And yes. It’s an authentic Goan family home complete with family altar and family portraits!
@@lesleyingoa Same here👍👍
Yummy dear god bless u all and stay blessed
Thank you so much. God bless you
Nice work you guys are doing. Lot of videos on khop inn a joint in Ponda are done by other youtubers. Thought I suggest it as most of your videos are around that place.
We went to Khop Inn but it’s just one dish served on 4 weekends in the year. A nice monsoon pastime place. But not enough there to cover on our channel as our viewers won’t be able to experience it outside that one month in the year
Nice food knowledge video Thanks madam 😊
Thanks for liking
❤ I love your vlogs Lesley madam Good morning madam ☀️🌞😍
Thank you so much. Good morning
Hey Lesley! Been binge watching all your videos since the past to weeks in anticipation of my trip to Goa very soon. I will be landing in Goa next Friday and I was wondering if you could give me an update on what the weather is like there?
I have my food itinerary ready (thanks to you) but I'm wary of traveling due to the incessant monsoons. Will I be able to step out of my accomodation at all?
Thank you for the awesome content you make.
Hi it is hard to predict. July is the heaviest rain month. There are many days when we just don’t step out. It’s very rainy weather right now
@@lesleyingoa Got it, thank you so much!
