Some people say the Xiaomi 14 Ultra doesn't have an IR Blaster, but it does. It's moved from the top into the camera module, just like the Xiaomi 14 Standard Edition.
We need to not forget about this ultra future on a 2024 phone, very important....
Now this, is really something. The only weak point was the selfie video and global availability, and Xiaomi has finally fixed it. Now you can call it the True Pinnacle of Smartphone excellence❤
Xiaomi 13 Ultra was launched globally tho.
The phone is awesome. liked the camera and the looks.
However, i have few major concerns with xiaomi phones
1. the updates are not timely
2. only few software features release for other markets . Chinese roms are far better and get timely updates with lots of features.
3. Lack of support
4. HyperOS ..the UI itself.. Not everyone wants to unlock bootloader and flash roms for their suitable use.
@@jerry-sb1238MIUI/ HyperOS on their flagship phones are really good. I don't know about midrange or low end phones.
@@wantedyou2346 someone did a review on xiaomi software support and it is quite horrendous for the models outside of china.
does it finally fully support 3rdparty launchers?
Damn you guys are fast. Looking forward to full review!
Larger aperature is a big deal. Both the main sensor and 5x zoom will produce superior pictures as the direct result of larger aperature.
Completely agree. It's much harder to open the iris for a large sensor, similar to how full frame camera lenses are exponentially more costly as you reach the wider end. I think people forget about optics and are easily wowed by newer sensors (i.e. Samsung 200MP). Any photographer worth their weight knows that a weak sensor paired with high quality glass will produced a substantially better image than the other way around.
F1.63 aperture on the main is absolutely a big deal. Most 1" cameraphones to this point have had apertures in the 1.9 to 2.0 range. 1.63 will give you a pretty solid boost in shallow depth of field, making for better subject separation and isolation in crowded environments.
This has shot to the top of my list of cameras to check out this year.
Should also allow faster snaps in low light. Moving people in low light is a problem which most mobiles struggle with. Look forward to testing it in a gig environment
@@snapagigphotography definitely! This may finally be a solution for indoor event coverage using mobile!
The transitions while filming looks so smooth
14 ultra vs X100 Pro.
The battle
Which battle?? The x100 processor chip is a deal breaker for me.
@@davidbrandon5949why deal breaked ? Its the best chip currently
X100 pro wins. No comparison
@@davidbrandon5949Mediatek chipset😅? Just same antutu score with Xiaomi 14 ultra but has lower ppi, lower selfie video, and lower cpu clock. #WHICHBATTLE😂

14 ultra vs x100 pro vs s24+ ultra... personally i choose xiaomi
Same bro same
One by one they (Chinese brand) make the front camera capable of recording 4k60.
Nice 👍🏻
Love your videos do a camera test between Vivo x 100 pro and oppi x7 ultra
The best phone in the world ❤
is the camera on the Chinese model any different that the global if not are there any differences and what are they? Thanks
been waiting for few weeks.. finally!
Bro tell me which mic and camera you are using for your videos
Great Video!!!!!!
Does it have 10bit hw, and memc
f1.63 aperture is actually amazing for the main camera
Great video, great review.
Any other new cool features? Usability, special photo soft to corrwct pics on the go?
Any interesting details except new processor and camera modules?
Does geekwills ship internationally?
Beautifull and elegant 😍
finally the dragon ceramic blue . and finally again shoutout to xiaomi who bring 4K60fps for front video recordingg . heehehe gonna buy
Best review
Can you change languges on chinese versions?
Nice phone!
I used to use a MI MAX 3 , but I would miss some phone calls and unfortunately had to quit using it. I wonder if the 14 ultra will work on U.S. carriers?
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra ceramic body is glossy, which is a fingerprint and smugge magnet. I wish it has a matte finish. And i hope it has improved its software especially for the imaging processing.
They claim it has a separate AI chip running multiple AI models to compute and clean images at longer ranges.
best desaing 😮
I hope you can also cover the front camera and tell us if it has 4k30 cinematic video on the front camera.
What is the current price of Redmi k60 ultra (12/256) in China ?
Can anyone confirm if it supports display out?
I'm reading from other users that Hyper OS doesn't allow 3rd party icon packs. Is that true?
I love how Xiaomi 13 ultra (at 3.00 time of your video) did the "pretty photos" of poluted air and 4 chimneys pumping the smoke in the air.
But that's just steam from the hot springs, not smoke.😂
ahhhh my dream
but draem are expensive
Front camera review please...
Why are they not using leica in front cameras too???
Wish it was a somewhat bigger screen. Why going down after the 11 ultra?
I'll get this phone
With Chinese OEMs rushing out the camera upgrades, they have reached a ceiling where camera improvements will be nominal for years. So, Xiaomi 14 Ultra is a nominal upgrade over the previous year. Even the chip is TSMC 4nm version 3 versus version 2 in the 13 Ultra.
So, for sure, there is no point in upgrading from 13 Ultra, but for those coming from older phones, there are some good upgrades, including no Samsung-made chips.
I'll be coming from the Mi 10 Pro. Worthy upgrade.
They should make it bigger already like 7 inch. I'm still using the 11 Ultra which is at 6.81 but I'd like it even bigger for next time, not smaller 😅 It's gonna be hard to see details on things sometimes..
7 inch is too big, 6.7 inch screen is perfect
That 1.6 aperture would be a big difference if optimised well.
if there is more competition in the global market it would benefit we consumers more. I hope Xiaomi Oneplus and other Chinese brands can pressure other brands like Apple and Samsung so they will at least release real fast charging phones😂 at least faster than 60 watts
Huawei yes but they ban it 😂😂 usa never fair when competitive 😂😂
Clock and display in the background are?

It really feels like both are similar indeed.
Does it come with factory-installed screen protector?
Yes
can it record 4k30 cinematic mode on the front camera?
Nope
@@Vks1992 then it's still a no buy for me. guess Im sticking with my s24 ultra. man I was about to trade this to the 14 ultra but I want that feature. oh well.
@@BLAKEEATS1988do u belive in her lol theres no full review yet we need to wait
@@johnalvert4139 I hope so because that's the only feature that stopping me from jumping ship.
@BLAKEEATS1988 it can do 4k 60fps not 30fps
You can buy this direct form china for $900 USD if you're happy to use china ROM (or flash EU ROM but bootloader has to stay unlocked). Not bad at all
Important: Unlocking the bootloader means you won't receive any HyperOS updates and won't be able to use contactless payment (as far as I know). Using the China ROM on the other hand brings a whole lot of issues with many Google apps.
At least those were my experiences trying something similar with a Chinese Redmi Note 13 Pro+.
@@chris_1988 you are absolutely correct 💯.
However, apparently if you flash the EU ROM (the developer ROM) everything works properly, including NFC etc. however, I'm not sure if hyper OS will update even with EU ROM. Looks like non-china buyers will be better off paying that extra money to get the global version.
How do you buy directly from China

vivo x100 pro vs xiaomi 14 ultra, prenderò il vincitore in ambito fotografico.
1500$ Xiaomi lost its mind this should have been priced in the range of 700/800 $ especially considering the mid quality ultra wide and zoom sensors.
This phone competes with Xperia 1 Mark 5 and not S24 Ultra or iPhone 15 Pro Max. Pricing makes much more sense.
Please note that S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max does not have a 1-inch type sensor at this time.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 Gen 3) = 12 GB / 512 GB = £1299

We must wait to see the camera comparison, but at least in video, Xiaomi is superior, even tho I have no doubts that it will be the same case on photography.

I really hate that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Titanium is using the vegan leather for the back... They could have used a gray coloured Ceramic Glass (like the Blue version) or use the same Dragon Crystal Glass like Xiaomi 14 Pro Titanium Edition.
The best camera phone of 2024.
He just secretly did the marketing 😂 around $903 😅 Good one 🤭❤💀
Im traveling to china next week please tell me how much does it cost in china ?
Why not watch the video first before ask? It's in there.

No IR Blaster 😢
How much in China?

I don't think it's worth getting the titanium version. Aluminium is better for keeping the phone cool. Titanium might look nicer but thermals are more important. You want the phone to be as cool as possible. Aluminium is better for this
There is a 3x larger cooling vapor chamber.
@@luvcrim yeah I know but titanium heats up more than aluminium.
Have you seen that thermals of the 24 ultra? Really bad compared to the s23 ultra

When is Xiaomi 14 lite launching globally????
If it launches, it'll probably launch with the rest of the 14 series the 25th of this month
@@omnihein9322thanks can't wait
What is vegan leather? Made from vegetables? Or plastic.
Just another name for artificial leather.
Since the other 3 camera sensors are exactly the same on Xiaomi 13 Ultra, shouldn't Xiaomi include the AI patch for 13 Ultra with love beyond 30X zoom too? 😂
Edit: apparently 13 Ultra doesn't have AISP chip on it.
Looks like twin brother of OnePlus 12
The ultra will launching at 25 February as well?
xiaomi smoking crack with that global price
Too early to put 4k 60 on the front camera Xiaomi. Lol
Xiaomi launches the flagship model way too late, nobody wants to wait 6 months. Samsung, Apple, Huawei and even Oppo/Vivo have figured this out that to make an impact in the market you launch the flagship at the same time with the rest of the model line up not this delayed by 6 months launch.
Where to buy the global version once it comes out ?
Yup, I want to know too

The photography kit we also purchased. It will be shown in Full review.
What are the pros and cons of ceramic and vegan leather? Anyone?
Look & feel, and also durability, the ceramic should be more tough than the typical glass, and the leather one probably will not last longer than the ceramic/glass because wear & tear from longevity
@@pudinichigo91 aha thanks so ceramic a better choice. Weird how it has the same price
ceramic breaks more easily however

Unless you've got the money to fork out full price in one go. It's not going to sell much in the uk. No contracts available only buy in one
Everybody in the uk has £1300 tp spend in one go haven't they? Shame I was going to get one ill stick with samaung
However, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has an over-clocked processor which is better for long-term in CPU performance and GPU performance.
UK contracts are very, very old.
You can take out a sim-free Galaxy S24 Ultra for £33.48 per month at Raylo which is more cheaper than every single UK contract from Vodafone, Three UK, EE, and more.
