They NERFED THE SNIPERS in XDEFIANT...

- The first major gameplay update is here in XDEFIANT and they nerfed the snipers, kinda, by adding/increasing the flinch. Honestly though I think for the most part (if you're quickscoping/being aggressive with snipers) it may be a non factor. Overall I think the balance is solid for now, what do you think though? I love sniping. My only issue on xdefiant sniping is when playing escort. Super easy to control the map with a team of snipers. We trapped a team in spawn like 4 games in a row. Other than that it's not bad at all and def agree that people need to play around it rather than going the same lane over and over.
oh yeah escort sniping is crazy cause its all just funneling down a lane

In csgo how we dealt with sniper is by having another teammate peak as you peak so it was a trade kill. If it was solo then don't peak or try cuz you always lose.
thats very true, although lots of ways to play around it like throwing nades/fakes with weapons
I personally wish cod and x defiant balanced the game so body shots do alot less damage and headshots are what you need. This would encourage headshots on auto rifles and snipers. headshots are higher skill and more rewarding. For example the guns are balanced like that in destiny 2 pvp. This change would make x defiant less of a clone too.
Better add sway on Naked Sniper, and make them feel how to play without attachment.
If they added sway like BO1 did then still hits, then I would call you beast.

I've been grinding this game since release and I'm only a few levels above you 😔
If I'm being honest, as a diehard sniper I like the addition of flinch. It gets rid of the people who don't actually know how to snipe and people complaining about snipers have less validity to their claims. Downwards flinch is going to take some getting used to though, I think it depends on the elevation of your opponent compared to you. If they're above you, you flinch downwards, if they're below you or level with you, you flinch upwards. I'm not entirely sure though
thats actually a good point, think thats how flinch works too, and yeah if anything it just increases the skill gap and makes it more rewarding so im all for it honestly

"Nerfed" still way too easy to use. Ttk is too high for 1 shot snipers to be a thing.
