Thank you for sharing on this topic. Our marriages are rivers which flow into the world. Hence its important we get it right at the home front inorder to truly make an impact in the world.
I was talking about submission yestersay with a friend and shared how God gave me new perspective on the topic using Romans 13: 1-5.
1. My husband represents an office in the kingdom of God, which runs administrative affairs of wife
2. My husband is God's authority over me. He is God’s servant. He is the first man of God i am subject to
3. Disobedience/ rebellion to this husband office is rebellion to God
4. When I rebel against the authority of my husband. I bring judgement on myself ( hmmm this point made sit up, and take submission very seriously)
5. My husband is God's servant sent to me for my good( this one blessed me in knowing that my husband is for me and not against me. Sometimes this can be hard to see the good part, especially when you are propsing what u think is right n your husband is saying sth else which does not make sense to you)
5. My husband in this office has been given authority to bring punishment to the wrongdoer ( that wrongdoer can be the wife). But when I submit as a wife I take myself out of harms way and become a law abiding citizen😂. My husband can go after other wrongdoers threathening our family's enterprise/ godly estate.
6. Now I am proud to say/ declare "I am a woman under authority" I have double covering 💃being submitted to God and my husband. God is still working out details of submission for me daily. Because God said submit, I submit even when i do not feel it.
"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience."
