I pay attention to all technical specs and cover stocks before purchase. I also watch a significant number of different ball demos before purchase. I never purchase any ball right after release. I hate buying a new ball only to find out it overlaps a lot with what I already have.
Typically in the past I’ve used symmetrical pearls but needed something to hook more on oil. Purchased the DNA and love it because I can still play straighter if needed at times or move left and hook it.

I counted 2 fouls...lol Anyway, it's good to have variety at all levels of equipment. But using a 6 ball arsenal, I'd rate the Absolute power at maybe a 2, but most often a 3 in a line up. Pending of course the bowler/surface/layout.

I bought the parallax for the different core and I love the colors. It has been a difficult ball for me to use though. It’s very over-under for me and I don’t have the revs for it.
I mostly watch how a new ball rolls I do keep eye out on the coverstocks and cores of new bowling balls because I never know if they would be right ball for me or not
I too wonder where the sym. Summit fits with these asyms, on this particular fresh condition. I predict Power #1, Summit #2, DNA #3, TDX #4. So yes, I buy balls to fit in gaps, not by type. Happy 2024 guys!

I also noticed you couldn’t carry. In the beginning of the video you noted your breakpoint was intended to be around 11-12 (rule of 31)but it looked like you were usually between 5-8 board. Hence the corners😉
I try too, been watching alot of Ball Vids trying to understand Bowling Balls and what would fit my Style. Haven't had alot of luck. I'm having my worst League Season in 20 years. I feel like I keep picking the complete opposite ball that I actually need. I seem to match up with Solids the best, my last two were the Phaze 2 loved it, and The Zen Master. Trying to figure out what Solid is best for my Style but honestly I feel lost.
I didn’t match up with the Reality or the Proton Physix, but got an Eternity Pi as my big asym solid and really like it. How would the Absolute Power compare to the Eternity Pi?
I have no idea what all the cores and coverstocks do or how they mix and match. I couldn’t name one type of coverstock outside of dull or shiny, or cores outside of symmetrical or asymmetrical. I look at differential, symmetrical or not in combination with shiny or dull. Based on what i feel I need.

I look at the ball specs (rg, inter diff), core and coverstock. Have preference for asymmetrical, also watch as much ball demo as possible.
I mainly pay attention to the ball design and the hook characteristics before making a decision.

Tend to lean towards more bottom weighted core (away from the pin) tend to roll better for me ie. crypto, rst, dark web, hazmat
I focus on having a ball for a set condition. E.G. Mindset for Shark. Eternity for Cheetah.
What layout is on the AB Power. Do all the balls have the same layout?

How much different do you think the original Absolute with surface (2000 for example) will look to the Absolute Power with the 4000?
I get balls that I’ve thrown other balls like. So the phaze 2 was a solid ball for me so I got the summit and love it
