Omg please never stop Slasher Saturday! This is my favorite. Screw the haters. And when you called him Petty Krueger I lost it 😂😂
Mine too 👏🏾
Absolutely dido. I'm cool with slasher Monday through Sunday lol ❤
Same!
Same! He’s bringing in a whole new crowd with the horror community! We love Jay and slasher Saturday!
I never get over Freddy's commitment to being the most over-the-top ever.
As a horror fan, I love Slasher Saturday. Nightmare is my favorite series. This movie did really well but 1, 3 and New Nightmare are the best
yep nancy trilogy
New Nightmare could be considered proto Scream. It was really refreshing, albeit I didn't quite like new Freddy look, but it was minor problem.
That's what I was gonna type same movies that I think are the best ones
Yup. The Wes Craven ones.
This one was my most watched Nightmare on Elm Street movie. Seen it a million times. The 80's soundtrack is pretty hot in this one.
Was introduced to damarama as a kid because of this movie
Man, I love Slasher Saturdays...
Love how the reaction starts with a "STFU" 😂 My man a legend! Thx for making the awesome edits! The dream team!
@20:06 “That’s the first kid he ain’t take to Detroit. He took him somewhere nice. Everybody else would be in that Detroit basement.” 🤣
It is definitely trash but the power Kristen gave Alice that she would need to beat Freddy is the power to pull other people into her dreams. Kristen did use it, she pulled Alice in. She couldn't pull any dream warriors in to fight Freddy again like part 3 because Freddy had already killed Kincaid and Joey.
If you think they can't get worse, wait till you see part 5!
I love slasher Saturday and Freddy is the GOAT of all slashers in my opinion
I was nursed on this series. I saw part two in theater when I was seven 😳. 3 and 4 have a special place in my heart 🥂 ❤ 👍
J calling this movie the armpit of Detroit was epic 😂
Dream Warriors was the best balance of dark and comedic Freddy but this one was peak MTV Freddy.
I LOVE SLASHER SATURDAY !!! Please never stop doing it- as a fellow horror nerd I am living for you discovering alllll the horror movies 👻
All hail the Slasher Saturday! Slash on, my friend.
"Welcome to Wonderland, Alice."
Fun Fact: Was #1 at the box office for three consecutive weeks upon release.
Music Enthusiast Fact: Not only did actress Tuesday Knight co-star in the film, she also performed the theme song.
Automobile Enthusiast Fact: Dan's (Danny Hassel) truck is a 1959 Ford F100. Kristen's (Tuesday Knight) car is a 1988 Volkswagen Cabriolet I (Type 1).
Practical Effects Fact: The climactic scene where the souls violently free themselves from Freddy's (Robert Englund) body was filmed using a 20-foot mechanical torso, so that the heads moving around in Freddy's chest could be played by real actors and stuntmen.
Casting Notes Fact: First film in the franchise where Robert Englund received top billing in the opening credits. According to everyone interviewed about the movie in the documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy (2010), no one really knows why Patricia Arquette didn't come back. A few theories included her agent asking too much money, her being pregnant at the time, and her already committed to Far North (1988). Arquette finally commented in 2017: "They asked me to come back, but at that time I was starting to break into kind of meatier roles. I had just done a movie of the week about teen pregnancy called Daddy (1987) and I was really liking getting deeper with my work. I love the horror genre and the Freddy franchise, but I was chomping at the bit to try other things as an actor."
There must not have been anything else coming out, good thing they can make them for pocket change.
Man,please continue Slasher Saturdays. You get me thru my long work week with laughs & I love horror. 🖤
Bro whatever to that guy...... Slasher Saturday is what I'm looking forward to after every Saturday! Thanks for all the content m8!
9:05
It, ironically, is key to the plot. Joey was always thinking with his little head.
Yep it got him in trouble in 3 & finished him off in 4, because he only thought about finishing!! Use your big brain boys!!! Lol
@18:31 “Freddy’s real name is Freddy Krueger Weinstein.” 🤣
With every sequel, the acting/plot holes get worse and the reactions get better. The dedication to your DM (Douche Man) intro already got me.
I wouldn't normally watch these movies but it's a reaction channel. The reaction is the whole purpose of why I'm/we're here. 😄🤦♂️
How can ppl be so stupid?
Anyway, I'm about to watch J, the copilots, Blank, and Sean hook me up with another good time.
Be well, EOM peeps. Let's get it 🎬🙂🐶🐶
This has got to be one of the top 3 Nightmare films, right alongside Dream Warriors and the original. Thank you for the awesome reaction
From here on is where Freddy gets SILLY silly, but Robert Englund brings such a deranged energy to the character that the silliness is kind of.. charming?
Either way, I love this entry in the franchise, and the Nightmare/Friday journey that you're on just gets me more and more hyped for New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason 😬👌
Oh and not for nothing but your personality IS this channel! So let them curse you in the DMs! You be the best at being you and everyone that matters will keep coming back!♥️♥️♥️
This is my favorite one. The pizza scene scarred me for life though. Lol
Alice is my favorite final girl of the franchise. She uses friggin nunchucks on Freddy. 'Nuff said. Met Lisa Wilcox last year and she still looks amazing at 60. Super sweet too
This one gave us The Fat Boys & Freddy rapping on the soundtrack
The power she gave her was the ability to pull people into her dreams, not to do back flips 😂
Freddy Krueger was at the height of his powers in Elm Street 4. He was never more powerful. Then he lost all the souls he collected over the years at the end of the movie. Those souls gave him much of his power.
I'd say he's more powerful in part six but we'll wait till Jay watches that one to debate it further. Of course you also have the comics where he absorbs the necronomicon from Evil Dead too.
I look forward to slasher Saturday every week.
If my memory serves me well, the effects for Freddy's death sequence in this film were executed by Steve Johnson and KNB Effects Studios. His work can be seen in Ghostbusters and The Howling. There's a really cool documentary on the making of Elm Street 4 that made mention of that.
Slasher Saturday is the best day of the week ❤
Slasher Saturdays are the best!
All the wayyyyyy down hill from here lol. Wes Craven's New Nightmare is ok, but different. Freddy V Jason is just something you have to do. The rest - trash.
Edit: Thank you to whoever gifted me membership. I just noticed :D
Slasher Saturday & the October video are awesome
I've been watching with my pit puppy Pepper for over 1 yr. Keep up the great videos
I love it when you wear your Snoopy Shirt. Your sweet puppies are your true ride or dies.😊 Just watched your Titanic reaction again. It remains one of my favorites because of how the puppies respond to your sadness. Is it ok to say the puppies are my favorite part of your channel? Happy Birthday month! I hope this is your Best Year Yet!! Love to your Sweet Mama and the puppies!😊♥️
P.s Yes, the nightmare on elm street franchise get weaker as it goes on. That's why you usually hear Everybody say that the first one and the third one are the best.❤
22:23 R.I.P Sinead O'Connor, My Favorite Song & Scene.
I love Saturday slashers because we get more of you😊
This is great
Petty krueger😂
I'm from the south east
Living in the midwest
Your southern take on comedy and movies is so refreshing makes me homesick
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 The Dream Master Is Such A Brilliantly Directed Film By Renny Harlin The Kills Dream Sequences Set Pieces Practical Effects One Liners Score/Soundtrack Cast And Crew Cinematography Color Palette Special SFX Effects And More It's My Favorite Sequel Outside The Original And A Nightmare 3 You'll Really Enjoy This One It's More Brutal Oh And The Movie Celebrated It's 35Th Anniversary This August 19Th 2023 Let's Have Such Fun ❤🎉😊
With regards to the room on fire I can confirm it is actually possible. When I was at university the room where we had our club meetings caught fire. There were half a dozen of us in there that night, not one of us noticed anything amiss till campus security came by and told us "Get out, that sound your hearing is the fire alarm, the room on the other side of that door is on fire.". Room wasn't as big a fire as Kristin's but the mother wasn't in the next room either.
Hope you are having an great and awesome weekend ❤
You've got a lot of 80s slashers and horror movies to watch! I love the 80s horrors they are a lot of fun. I think it's awesome that you added a saturday upload. Keep being you JL and forget the haters, there's always some out there
"Freddy Kreuger Weinstein" had me dying lmao
Freddy is my favourite horror franchise of all time nothing compares for me
Please don't ever stop Slasher Saturday it's my favorite
Slasher Saturday is the best!
Oddly enough, 4 is my favorite. I love the visuals and how it was shot. I do think they did the survivors of the previous film dirty by not having them hang on longer throughout the film. Sure, kill off Kristin but Kincaid and Joey should have lasted throughout the film a bit longer. As for how this is the worst, well, Part 5 and 6 are considered the worst for fans, but I still like them. 6 especially for the sheer fun of it. Also part 6 is my favorite Freddy glove.
So glad to see someone who agrees!! I def love 4 the most. It looks fking awesome, the effects are insane, the deaths/nightmares are the best in the series imo. The soundtrack kicks ass too and I love Alice, she's the most likeable protagonist imo.
@@tricko8000Alice is still the reason I like Part 5, even though that seems to be most people
s least favorite. There's still a lot to like in the later films if you're not so concerned about them being scary.
Long live Slasher Saturday!
I love slasher Saturday 🎉
J is at a point now when he is laughing at slashers. I think he is almost ready for Terrifier.
First of all Slasher Saturday is Awesome. Second Freddy is definitely my favorite slasher. It was this one in particular that got me over being too scared to watch horror as a kid. Freddy was just having too much fun to be scared.
Yeah J, #4 is when the quality of the Nightmare series officially started to descend. By Freddys Dead, they'd finally decided to end it⚰
However, Wes Craven, decided to give his "son of a hundred maniacs" creation a proper ending. Which is why I'm anxiously awaiting your reaction to Wes Craven's New Nightmare. In which everyone's favorite final Elm St girl returns to finish the job.
Also J you're right, Kevin Yaghur, didn't get paid enough for the amount of wrk that went into that chest birthing effect. Aside from Elm St 2-4, you've also seen his FX wrk in Fri 4the final chapter, child's play-bride, the crypt keeper from TFTC, Starship Troopers And a whole lot more. GREAT reaction as always 👌
I really like Slasher Saturday. Please keep doing them
"You've got the touch. YOU'VE GOT THE POWER!"
(Stan Bush - You've Got The Touch)
Awesome Movie and Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍👍👍😎 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
I'm so curious if a mini series could be introduced to the show. Like Rose Red or The Haunting of Hill House.
And for movie suggestions: Warlock and Wishmaster!
The haunting of hill house would be great!
It's interesting how some slashers appeal to different people. I love the more fantasy based stuff, so Freddy is my favorite. The make-up, special effects, and imagination really do it for me. And Robert Englund's performance is unbelievably charismatic.
And as weak as NoES 4 is I'd take it over any of the Friday or Halloween films. The individual moments make it for me, even if as a whole it doesn't amount to anything.
Having said all that my favorite horror film is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. So who the hell knows?
I'm the same as you regarding slashers, and I actually love NOES 4, but there's no way any of the Nightmare films are better than the og Halloween lol. That movie's an absolute masterpiece!
@@tricko8000 Halloween is a better film, but I prefer NoES4. That sequence where the girl becomes a cockroach, with special effects courtesy of Screaming Mad George *chefs kiss!* Out of context that minute of film is more entertaining than any minute of Halloween, cumulative effects notwithstanding.
This one is a mixed bag. Some weird choices. But no choice is weirder than having him resurrected by… DOG PISS.
Slasher Saturday is great.
Surprised nobody called out the Karate Kid easter egg in the scene wear Alice was gearing up to do battle with Freddy.
I love slasher Saturdays!
One of my all-time favorite movies easily my favorite in the elm street franchise.
Keep the slasher Saturday coming. Let that guy eat salt.
The series peaks at part 3 but 4 was my first so I have a soft spot for it. I like Freddy's look in it, he's so well lit compared to the other moves.
God speed on Dreams child... yikes
They should have had a post credits scene of that girl's mother crying at her therapy session.
That would have been amazing - J
Please dont stop slasher Saturday 🍿🥰 I love it
Alice was changing because on every death she got their power. Whatever their strength/skill was.
I actually liked this movie. It had great dream sequences and visual effects, some likeable characters and that banging Sinead O’Connor song at the end!
What YOU know about Alvin "Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies" Mack? 😂😂
Slasher Saturday is dope. The action reactions are better, but Slasher Saturday is dope.
"This was trash" gosh, I'm glad someone was brave enough to say it. The Dream Master is quite literally to me my least favorite Freddy movie, I go out of my way to not watch it again LOL however since it's you, I had to see how you'd react to it.
Thank god I'm not alone - it is utterly awful.
I remember watching this on a dubbed vhs tape and l could never tell if the people applauding Alice when she goes through the cinema screen were her dead friends or just strangers.
I love your Slasher Saturdays J
Haters gonna hate. I love watching these. Please don't stop!
Nobody really knew why Patricia Arquette didn't return to play Kristen. There have been a few theories/stories but nothing really substantiated (at least from what I've heard). So Tuesday Knight had a really big role to fill as Kristen because lets face it Patricia Arquette did an amazing job and I think Tuesday did a descent job considering who she was replacing.
When you get through the whole Nightmare series, including Freddy vs. Jason (excluding the Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 remake) you should watch "Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy", the documentary on all the original Nightmare movies, which incudes Freddy vs. Jason. It's a really good, although you'll want to watch it on your own because the thing is just over five hours long and I don't think you'll probably want to have to worry about a 5+ hour movie edit for CZcams. I mean you can watch the remake but it obviously won't be included in the Never Sleep Again documentary because it's solely about the original series and the remake came out the same year as the documentary
Because Patricia Arquette came from a well known acting family, she had bigger aspirations for her career and turned down the offer to return as Kristin in Nightmare on Elm Street 4. Tuesday Knight was her replacement.
The Nightmares that I find good are: 1, 3 and Freddy vs Jason.
Keep the SLASHER SATURDAY going!!! J just be PETTY!
J and Blank. I'm watching a "Christmas" movie that Ive never heard of, called "Violent Night". FANTASTIC! David Harbour, Beverly DeAngelo, John Leguizamo. Cross (kinda) between "Die Hard" and "Bad Santa", meets "Home Alone". It is pretty heavy...Santa (drunk)in crisis, almost slapstick at times, shoot-em-up, HILARIOUS. I guarantee you'll both dig this one and I'm sure viewers will too.!!! 🎄🎬🤪✌️
I always look forward to slasher Saturday!
This movie is so shitty. But I love it.
Alice Johnson. The only girl crush I've ever had. Gorgeous and badass.
The actress was on MILF Manor 😂😂😂
Love Slasher Saturdays
Surprised you didn’t jump when you saw TUESDAY Knight. 😊
Good movie
I love slasher Saturday 😊
who deosn't love slasher saturday? what a tool! keep them coming please! slasher saturday is one of the best things you've come up with here!
Dude, thank you for referencing Alvin Mack. "Lets put the women and children to bed and go looking for dinner"
If you think about it Freddy's the most Powerful because he can kill you in your dreams and Everyone Dreams so he has 365 days a year to kill someone. He doesn't have to be Present in Reality to kill.
Freddy is the best of the slashers. Hands down. The most original, most personality, most imaginitve deaths, and best backstory. This is the worst movie of the Englund era franchise, though.
Freddy's Dead gets that honor. This film is at least watchable 😂
Slasher Saturday is great. Screw the haters.
I think that dog was in this hilarious stupid college comedy called Up The Creek- it had the return of Animal House’s Tim Matheson and fat guy “Flounder” too.
He got the glooooooow! .. man I'd love if you watched Last Dragon for the channel
When you called Freddy the weakest link, you broke my heart lol. I love me some Freddy! I know it's not the best Nightmare film but I still love it. The only one that is kinda dumb is number six but it's stiill fun. Number six is sorta like a looney tunes Nightmare film.
Lol I’m not trying to disrespect him but he keep taking Ls to high school girls. They even beating him in the dream world. He cold blooded but he need a karate class - J
If you think about it,all slashers take Ls to high school girls though. I can't wait to see your reaction to the 7th Nightmare film,New Nightmare. My personal favorite Freddy Krueger film.
Dude, slasher Saturdays are awesome! Don’t k ow why some rando would cuss you out over them but I hope their bacon is never cooked the way they want it and may their pinky toes always find their furniture’s edges!
Btw any plans to watch Critters lol
Wow that's harsh hoping their pinky toes find furniture edges!! You know it's easy to break a pinky toe that way right?! And they aren't easily splinted & fixed.
Coming from someone that has a pinky toe that's never been right after the event, I wouldn't wish it on anyone but the worst villains!! But cussing out J for his video reaction choices is pretty ballsy of a viewer... maybe they will just stub their toes? Lol
Freddy loves his one liners
wes cravens new nightmare and freddy vs jason are the ones worth the wait from this point
Petty Krueger also known as petty Freddy
I love Kincaid, he was a dope character
