I believe this is the one of the most difficult clutch and dual mass wheel replacement. You need to dismantle half of the car to get access to the clutch plate. Well done Kevin. Love your videos!
I just can't believe you drop the whole engine like that in the driveway, truly amazing! Plus I'll never understand how you get the whole damn thing back together again afterwards, that's the real magic...

I'm right with you bro!! The work he does, and the level of professionalism he does it with, is NOT for the average person OR skilled mechanic! As I said before, he is in a class by himself!!

Not sure whether your mechanical aptitude or work ethic is more impressive. Qualities that seem in short supply these days. Not extinct, but increasingly rare. Full respect 👍
Just bought an Octavia 1.8 TSi, so watched this to see just how much could be involved in changing the clutch. I’m debating doing this job myself, and I have a ramp!!! You did this on the floor!! That’s hard core! Ha! Nicely done!!
Hi Kevin, I heard your customer comment about Skoda in New Zealand. I live there and two years ago (Xmas) we bought an RS245 Wagon over a VW. The simple truth. All the same tech as VW & Audi for a 1/3 of the price. I stumbled across your channel as i was looking for someone who's replaced rotors and brakes on a VAG car. I need to admit, you're very exceptional at your job Kevin; you make it look so easy - clearly it's not. I wish you all the best health and a long career chief.

@@WMCS I REALLY appreciate that bro, but TRUST ME, the hero here is YOU. If you ever call our shop for a price on ANYTHING that has to do with a clutch or transmission, they will tell you we don't do anything that has to do with them. So to watch you do what you do, ON THE GROUND, is PHENOMINAL!!!
I did the clutch on my 1990 Volvo on my driveway after watching a Chrisfix and reading how to in my Haynes manual. Before that I hadn't done any mechanical jobs other than oil change. Wasn't very fun at times and took about 3 days but the satisfaction was well worth it in the end. Keep up the good work 💪
Christ alive Kev thats hard work.. in winter.. on the floor.. just great.. I did my nissan pathfinder clutch and drive plate on the floor in the summer last year... hardest job I've done.. certainly as hard as an engine replacement if you replace the clutch on axle stands..

Being able to comfortably replace clutches of various models at people's homes is a skill most of us have not seen anywhere else - bravo! Kevin-Albert, what would you say are the manufacturers you enjoy working on the most, or could you name a few you find the easiest to work on?
After having watched several of these tutorials of how to change the clutch on VW and Skoda models, I think I will have a go at the clutch of my 2003 Skoda Fabia this summer. Just for the fun of it. It does not seem to difficult at least when William does it. I am not shure though, if I will replace the flywheel, since i is a fairly expensive part.

Before I watch this video, I'll just comment... I followed your videos on the Insignia and the Astra (I have the 13 plate SRI Insignia) to help me to do the job myself, because I was well outside of your coverage area. I purchased the Sachs clutch kit (including DMF and new CSC), purchased all of the tools necessary and I followed everything you did on those jobs. The end result? SUCCESS! And I can't thank you enough again for your videos. You inspired me and gave me the confidence to do it myself and it was a 110% success. Of course, the job took me 10 hours opposed to - how long does it take you? 4 or 5? The DMF was battered and needed grinding off, the pressure plate bolts were rounding off and I had to find equivalents to replace (could hardly get them off without drastic measures) and every step of the way seemed to throw something new at me - really gave me a challenge. I'm now all beat up from doing it - especially my right hand from trying to get to that evil bolt on the back of the starter motor - you know the one? How do you do this every day? Are you a machine? Big kudos to you.
