At 31.00, that is the loudest G Shock alarm I have ever heard! Fascinating video, remember, Apollo 13 was initially thought of as a failure, but it wasn't!

Hahahahahaha. I customized the sound to match a school bell 🤪.
I truly appreciate your optimism. I still have the other half of the video. It’s when I completely break down the watch down to the plastic base everything was assembled to. I didn’t see it as relevant but it’s for sure interesting.

Is the sticky buttons a common problem with the model or is it after using the watch a certain way? Or is it with a specific model year watches?

The same happened to me. My crown broke but I don't know if it's inside or not. I don't know what to do. I don't know whether to send it to technical service, but you say they won't fix it. I love the watch, I've had it for 4 years and I love it. I'm pretty sad after watching your video. Your video is pretty good. Any recommendation? Thank you

Check this out. After taking apart the watch and attempting to get a replacement module. I was informed that there is a was to remove the broken pin from the module. The shop obviously did not disclose how, but they assured me it can be done without any damages; it was too late for me :(.
Best of luck. FYI ordering it internationally might be cheaper than from the United States.

Awe man! I’m sorry to hear that. So check this out. I live in the Middle East but I travel home to the states every summer. I called the repair shop in California and they wanted to charge 264 for the module +49 for the crown (f that) I spoke to a repair shop in Dubai and the total cost is 130usd for both. If you have a way to get it directly from Japan or if you have a dealership that won’t rip you off; otherwise buy a new watch. They go for 290-320usd brand new where I live.

Could you guess about the diameter and length of the larger spring. It seems about 2.5mm x 5mm

Hey Drew. Are you talking about the OEM spring that comes on the light button or the ones fabricated from a ball pen spring? Also, note that the button assembly is forgiving in the diameter of the spring being used.

Dear god that must’ve been an a terrible experience sorry to hear that. Full digital g shocks are the way to go but unfortunately, they are becoming harder to find.
Your authorized dealer should have them. They will say they can’t remove the stem. It so happens that the AD service center in Kuwait knows how to remove the broken stem. The ones in the California say there’s no way to do it and the cost is near 350 usd for a module and crown

Hey! Once I get my part in, I’ll ask the dealer if they got an extra one. My friend is traveling there mid October. The crown and module will run you around 140-160 usd. I’ll confirm once I receive mine. FYI I’ve been waiting since June

I have the same issue, broken the crown inside. I have found the original crown in Germany costs about 100 Euros, waiting to see if a good watchmaker can replace it!
