These guys continue to be highly entertaining, year after year. 25th Anniversary concert for them this coming October. Saw them last night, always a great show.

The chromatic nyckelharpa (enabling tunes in all keys), the type that Johansson is playing, was constructed in the early 30's by August Bohlin, a crofter and musician from Uppland. Earlier version of the instrument exists but are limited to certain keys.

I'm sure plenty of people have - at dance events, perhaps... The guys have taken dance music and made it interesting and entertaining for the concert audience. Two different ways of enjoying music!

I think the polska format stems from Poland, hence the name of this kind of tune.
This is a concert, totally impossible for dancing! Would be nice if someone made it dancivle!
